Disney Infinity is the upcoming game for many consoles...

 

 

 

It looks like a great game, but I have no idea how it works... 

I know that we need the toys to plug into the game and all... but how does that work? Especially for a 3DS?!

I want this game so bad, 'cause of Sulley (Monsters Inc./University), Toy Story, THe INcredibles and etc... but it costs around 60€ on Amazon... I don't have that money and I want this game for my B-Day!

 

If I buy the game, will I manage to play with Sulley or anyone else without having the toy? I've seen trailers and gameplay where more than 1 char is there... but we can only plug 2 characters and a... "thing"...

 

I'm really curious about the game!

 

 

Can someone explain me how does this game WORKS? How's the gameplay exactly? What can we do on the game?

I hear its more or less the same as skylanders and for the 3ds I think when you get the toy you scan it and you get the character of the toy you have.As for what you do I don't know.

For the 3ds they may try and pull off a Skylanders type of thing where if you connect a figure compatible with the game, they would appear in the game itself

I have no idea what Skylanders is and I NEVER ACTUALLY SAW IT OR PLAYED IT... so I'm still confused.

If I recall, they said that the game is playable without the figures, but some features will not be possible.

Features being gameplay modes, like they normally are. Since Sully was playable in each trailer... i doubt they would just up and say "Fugk him he's out".

*Facedesk* No, a feature is like a game mode, like in fighting games where you have versus, online,training, ect. In this case, it may not be possible to race without a Cars character or Venelopy Von Schweets, or do the Toybox World mode without a Woody figure, but the character themselves would be playable.

I haven't even heard of this until now  It looks really cool, but I don't want to get into one of those toys+game kind of games like Skylanders.  It's a marketing scam to get you to buy merchandise in order to fully enjoy the game.

You need to go to a store ,and buy the figures. (10-20$) then go home, and put the figures into the gameport. then in the game they will show up (pretty amazing)

I really excited for it  too.Somebody has idea when will get this pricedop? 

If you have ever seen gameplay or played the Toy Box mode on the Toy Story 3 video game it is essentially an expanded version of that.

 

You buy playsets of certain figures and it unlocks more modes to play on and of course more characters to play as. It's such a shame that the game is marketing towards the newer Disney generation though, I'd totally buy the game if it featured more characters from the classic Disney titles. Other than the recently announced Sorcerer Mickey Mouse the oldest character on there is Jack Skellington and even then he only dates back to 1993...
