This week I've had family from out of town come over. One of them was my Uncle Jeff. 10 years ago, there was a tumor found in his brain. When it was removed, it left him disabled. He has difficulty controlling the right side of his body. He has to use a walker to walk, his speech is slowed and slurred, and one of his eyes constantly moves without his control. It's been hard for him to overcome as he was an active surfer before his disability. Today, he shared with us a speech he had found that explains what it's like to live with a physical disability. He says it's spot on and is the best explanation he's seen to help normal people to understand. I thought I would share it with you guys. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn5IBsm49RkSo, how many spoons do you use a day? I know I usually use more than 12 by the afternoon, though sadly I waste spoons when I lose something and have to look for it. Sucks having bad short-term memory.
