Towards the end of the FFXV e3 trailer, when vsXIII changes to XV, a character says a few lines, and the first remark was "The legend meets its match". Now this has been pointed out to be referring to FFVII, but if they added that remark, then Im guessing that they are expecting FFXV to be more successful then FFVII. And as Im sure lots of people know apparently if another FF succeeds VII, they will look at doing a remake. So if they are already expecting FFXV to be more successful, do you think they have already started to make plans or, god please, starting making a FFVII remake?

Seriously doubt they have started a remake of it at this stage. They've been so busy this year.

Well, I'm assuming it'll be the best Final Fantasy yet as, other than the story to FFXIII, I have no interest in any other game in the series aside from FFXV.As for whether or not they're remaking FFVII, I doubt it. The teams are all focused on different projects at the moment and I'm sure they wanna wait out the success of FFXV before remaking FFVII.

Well yeah you did just point out something I didnt think of, XV might have 2-3 sequels so I think I can rule out making FFVII, but Its quite possible they have plans, but I doubt they will make a start on it in the next 5 years.

Yeah, SE will get around to it eventually. That or do the same thing they've been doing with FFXV all these years. xD

Well XV will definitely have at least a sequel, but knowing how Square wants to milk out  the games like with the XIII trilogy, they'll probably make a XV-3 or more. Im ok with that, as long as they dont overmilk it like VII and make it become shit at the end like with VII.

I dont entirely believe that they will make a VII remake even if XV DOES Surpass VII. I think they just said that to get people to stop whining about that for a time. But who knows, i hope they do. And if they do, THEY BETTER PACKAGE A PORTED VERSION OF CRISIS CORE WITH THE REMAKE.

So what do you think of Cloud's outfit in LR? Hint at a remake?
