August 25, 201312 yr Not that much, honestly...by the time you reach the point where the HP/EXP cuts mean something, you'll either be used to it or quit in frustration well before. The extra abilities far outweigh any cons IMO. This is, of course, assuming you're doing a normal run, not some kind of challenge.
August 25, 201312 yr Honestly it isn't very hard at (except for the optional bosses but that's to be expected). I definitely wouldn't play it with Zero Exp your first time though unless you're using it for short intervals when the game gets too easy. Basically it's not very hard at all, I'd personally put it on the same level as KH1 Beginner.
August 25, 201312 yr Whether Critical is harder then Proud depends. KH2's Critical is not your average ultimate challenge like it is in BBS or 3D, its more of a risk and reward mode. I imagine it would seem nearly impossible for someone who only ever plays the game on Standard normally. I personally find it easier, but I am at the "Casually plays Level 1" level so the insane damage intake means nothing to me. The pros I get from Critical far out-way the cons. August 25, 201312 yr Keep youre level low, i've never zero exped but its even hard on proud mode if you are lowly levleled, i beat the final boss at level 9
August 25, 201312 yr I have the game. Critical mode is harder because you have less HP and don't level up as fast. The boss's are actually the same difficulty in Proud Mode. I would recommend using the "Zero EXP" ability, because it makes the game really enjoyable! I beat everyone until I got the Roxas fight, but I couldn't beat Roxas so then I had to level up. Lol
August 25, 201312 yr Author Im really hoping in 2.5 that they throw on another difficulty mode to make the game even harder, because it sounds like playing it on critical mode leveling up normally isn't much of a challenge...
