Most likely Cloud didn't even know Zack. I assume from Aerith's little comments about him that she was acquainted with him previously, which leads him possibly originating from Radiant Garden like her. Zack is shown to be from Olympus, and at that time, only Keyblade wielders or powerful magicians like Merlin and Yen Sid could travel.

In the KH timeline, as far as we know, Cloud has no idea who Zack is.

In final fantasy series- no way. Cloud and zach were best friends.

In kingdom hearts series- I'm sure they don't know each other and if they did, then probably he wouldn't forget, cause zach was training to go to shinra at bbs time, as well as cloud would have been.

No they none of the fianl fantasy 7 characters knew each other as kids, just as teenagers and young adluts.
