Anyone Know Of A Really Good Laptop To Buy?

Posted

So I'm going to be saving up for a new laptop to buy since my old one just died due to a virus on it and I just want to know if there are any good laptops to buy that aren't super expensive? Like maybe a laptop that's around the $300.00-$400.00 price range. I plan to buy one from BestBuy since they seem to sell some good ones.I'm open to some good suggestions on a good laptop.

Have one built. They are better, easier to upgraid and repair, and generally more plesent experience.

It depends on what you are going to do with it like gaming or just surfing the web.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Toshiba+-+Satellite+15.6%26%2334%3B+Laptop+-+4GB+Memory+-+500GB+Hard+Drive+-+Satin+Black/1617775.p?id=1219057249722&skuId=1617775#tab=specifications  This is a decent laptop I could find from best buy if your just going to search the web and do non stressing things to your laptop but its toshiba which some say are not that good of a company. Personally I think toshiba is a great laptop manufacturer. Some of the other laptops I found were from asus but had no cd drive which I am assuming you would like to have.

If you want a gaming laptop you are going to have to pay much much more for one.

I was going to say Alienware BUT NOT WITH THAT PRICE RANGE! I guess you want laptop just for like browsing not games or anything.

Well I am looking for a laptop that can handle capture cards. So I guess I am looking for a gaming laptop.

Definately custom, Tails. You probably also want Windows 7 64 bit with 32 bit capability, 10gigs of RAM at the least, and at least a half a Terabyte for video storage and software.

$300-$400 in Aus for a gaming laptop would get you the directional arrows and half a screen.

I bought an ASUS laptop earlier this year for $900 ($1200 at normal retailers). Would't classify it as gaming, but still good quality. 8gb RAM, Intel i7, 750gb HDD, blu-ray player and windows 7 premium.

Alright thanks for the info. I'll keep that in mind when I buy my new laptop. But what do mean by "custom"? Were you referring to a custom windows laptop?

Fool. Nothing Apple.

Dell.
