I don't know if it's a theory, but it just got me thinking/guessing.

In one of the glossary entries in the Reports of Kingdom Hear 3D: Dream Drop Distance about Master Xehanort it says:

Arguably the most powerful Keyblade Master in history, and a staunch advocate for a world where light and darkness are equal. In his thirst for knowledge, he allowed his heart to succumb to the darkness. While attempting to reproduce the Keyblade War, he was thwarted by three young Keyblade wielders, and his body was seemingly destroyed. However, Keyblade Masters have the power to remove hearts and transfer them to other "vessels." Master Xehanort has leveraged this power of recombination and clashed with Sora under a number of identities.

Note it says hearts in plural (Roxas, Xion, Naminé and Ventus hearts?), also it says "vessels" (why in quotations? could it be Nomura hinting something?)

Maybe the report is indirectly hinting us that either Riku or Mickey will extract the hearts from Sora and put them back into the other "vessels" (Roxas, Xion, Naminé and Ventus)?

a. COOOOOOOOLLLLL!

b. Sora'd die. :

I always though it would have to be Riku who restores Ven's heart. But I'm still not sure if this can be done with any Keyblade, or  if you specifically need a Keyblade of Peoples Hearts like Xehanorts.

Roxas, Xion and Namine will be put into pots as their vessels.

I read a fanfic once where they gave namine, xion and roxas digital bodies. Maybe something like that could act as a vessel for their hearts.

I think you are looking into it to much.

The Ansem Reports in Kingdom Hearts 2 tells about the plot in Birth By Sleep, they're meant and made to be looked into. He could've simply written Vessels, I think the quotation means 'not only vessels'. And no matter what they are going to return, I don't see any other way then realising the hearts from Sora.:P

I remember reading that one. I found it to be an interesting idea. I also read one where Roxas' heart was extracted from Sora's and placed into a Dusk and that acted as a vessel for Roxas since the heart shapes the body. Kinda made sense to me.

But he may not look like the Roxas we know,  because of the fact that Roxas got his appearance from Ventus fractured heart.
