Can you transfer data from a Wii memory card with Gamecube stuff on it to Wii U?

Posted

What i'm asking is, I know you can transfer Wii data to a Wii U as per this video:

However, for these memory cards here :http://www.amazon.com/Memory-Card-Console-1019-Blocks-GameCube/dp/B000X37732/ref=lp_14218891_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1379601248&sr=1-1

They have Gamecube stuff on them. I know that you have to virtually download GC/previous generation games in order to play on Wii U, but if I transfer my memory card with GC stuff on there and then download them virtually on the Wii U, will those games have the memory/saved stuff on them, etc? As well, for virtual console downloads on regular Wii, if you put them on a memory card, will it transfer over too?

Does all stuff availible on the Wii virtual console avalible on the Wii U Virtual console?

You'd probably be safer no risking it: I doubt the info'd carry over.

I thought Gamecubes have memory cards.

You can only tranfer Wii data,Gamecube data are stored in the GameCube;s memory card and can't be transfered

you can only transfer Wii stuff but once you do,you can't send them back from Wii U to Wii

Yes it has and it's the only way to store GameCube's save data
