Isn't there already that certain keyblade from KHI which is able to do just that? The Keyblade of People's Hearts?

I'd rather say the Master Keeper is the key to find Ventus. (Not to mention if it were able to do that, Eraqus most likely would've told Aqua about it and she'd have used it on Terranort to return Xehanort's heart or something)

Actually, the Keyblade from KH1, The Keyblade of People's Hearts, opens and releases hearts. This new Keyblade will return hearts, as the name says.
