358/2 Days HD Credits list Wayne Allwine

Posted

For some reason they put Wayne Allwine in the credits despite him to not having any dialogue recorded for cutscenes. All Wayne recorded for 358/2 Days in 2009 before he sadly passed away was battle sounds for the playable King Mickey. There was nothing else recorded, nothing else was there to be recorded.

They extended the only King Mickey cutscene in HD 1.5 ReMIX replacing the old event scene as part of the actual cutscene but Mickey is of course voiced by the new Mickey Mouse voice actor.

That's a nice gesture by Square

They also listed other Disney voice artists and characters who had no dialogue like Larxene, Lexaus, Vexen basically any member who didn't survive Castle Oblivion. The credits are oddly enough in line with the original release. Or as if it were a normal game. But it is a touching honour that they still dedicated the game to Wayne, especially when they didn't need to.

If that's the case I would have thought they would use the same line they did in the DS game. "In loving memory of Wayne Allwine."

Probly out of respect for him.

I noticed it too, but I didn't know he had passed away intill later.

Mickey got one line in DAYS, thought, didn't he?

In Days he doesn't talk at all during the cutscene, he might've made a noise or two while talking to Riku afterwards but I think Sora96 is right about it just being the battle sounds

Nope no noises, just the battle sounds. Which for obvious reasons aren't in this release.

It's so sad that Wayne is gone. :'[

Tis to be expected.
