"Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains; but have so easily forgotten their own story. Man, born of dust was strong, wise and resourceful. But he was born into an unforgiving world. Creatures of darkness, Grimm, were bent on returning man's brief existence to the void. But even the smallest shred of hope was enough to unlock the key to winning this war, appropriately named Dust. With nature's wrath in hand humankind fought back the darkness; and in its absence came peace, prosperity and most importantly: life. Though Grimm tidings are among us. So gather your soldiers, build your monuments to a so called "free world", but remember, there will be no victory in strength alone."

 

The Grimm are slowly returning stronger than ever, it is up to us huntsman, us huntresses, to combat the darkness. This story will follow the lives of four of such peoples, and perhaps a fifth.

 

 

Sikota's character:

 

 

Name: Aria Asyr

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Not the tallest of girls, but probably a little above average in terms of height. She's rather frail, almost to the point of being able to be called skinny, but not that thin. She has neck length, kinda messy, light auburn hair, and hazel colored eyes. She wears dark violet clothes under her rather form fitting, lavender, almost white armor. It's in your best interest not to mention her bust (or lack thereof)

Weapon: Angel's Ascent. It's a ring on her left hand that expands into a clawed glove. The tips of the claws function as a machine gun and there's different types of dust stored along each finger, which combinations can flow into the glove and shoot out the palm.

Bio: Having been training to fight ever since she could remember, Aria eventually set off on her own, believing herself ready to protect the world. She's a huntress, just not officially.

Weapon: Akai's gloves are made of material that attracts dust, and can store dust within the fabric...red dust. She can control fire just by a snap of her fingers. Her main weapon is a automatic shotgun, that can rearrange itself into a scythe. (Think Roy Mustang from FullMetal Alchemist ヽ(*・ω・)ﾉ )

Biography: Akai is training to become a huntress, her gloves were made by her father. Her father and mother fought a lot, and her father left her, her brother, and Akai's mother. Akai's brother soon became the fatherly figure to her, and they are both training to fight Grimm creatures.

Name: Ferro Javal

Age: 18

Gender: male

Appearance: brown hair and eyes on a plain, slightly small head (not that people see it a lot). Medium height and slight build, but with wiry muscles. He doesn't talk much, but when he does, he doesn't waste words, and he always stands by them. Wears dark grey with small lime green accents. He has a hood, but no cape. His clothing is mid-way between flowing and tight-fitting. He is known as the Mist Bow.

Weapon, the short answer: a high-tech bow with a quiver, wings (like an angel's, kinda), and a computer mask

Weapon, the long answer:

 

I suggest finding a comfortable chair, a snack, and a beverage, because this will be long. Ferro wields a seven-foot, ultra-composite longbow. When not in use, it folds into a rectangular shape that gets carried below his quiver (detailed later). When unfolded, it consists of two three-foot blades joined together by a one-foot handle in the center. The bowstring is made of flexible wire, and is wound through a pulley system inside the blades. Even though the bow is composite, it still has a draw strength of sixty pounds, so you can imagine the power behind this thing. Or you could look up what I mean by saying this. Anyway, in addition to the wire, the bow also has a mechanism by the hand grip, consisting of four wheels that spin at high speeds to spit the arrow out of the bow, like a toy race car track thingy. These two propulsions combine to create a nearly straight shot with enough speed to travel a mile and still reliably kill things. The bow can be wielded as a double-blade, or split into two one-handed blades. It can also be used as a grappling hook if the wire remains attached to both blades when split. If the length of wire is shortened, it can be used to garrote opponents. For quick, short range attacks, two clips filled with small bolts can be fitted onto the bow to fire from two bolt-accelerators on either side of the main wheel-accelerator. Three-foot arrows are fed directly into Ferro's hand via a tube attached to the quiver. The arrows are compressed inside the quiver (which is carried vertically and not diagonally like most quivers) and spring out to full length when they have room. The arrows have two dark grey flights and one lime green flight. They can be loaded with dust to deliver various elemental effects and explosions. Some arrows can spring out into wide blades that split after a short time into four smaller blades when fired. Some arrows can split into two waves of smaller bolts when fired. Ferro has two wings that fold up next to the quiver. The wings are slightly angelic in appearance and have jet boosters to provide propulsion during flight. There are blades on the wing tips that can be used in combat, and hidden flashbulbs on the front of the wings can temporarily blind enemies. Mist can be released from the bottom of the quiver. This mist can be alternately for obscuring areas or for acting as an incendiary gas that can be lit on fire. Ferro's mask is a dull dark grey with faintly glowing lime green eyeholes. There is a diamond swirl with rounded corners front and center, also faintly glowing lime green. It is a featureless mask, so it does not have a nose protrusion or a mouth. Ferro can use it to track distances for long shots, with the numbers being displayed in front of his eyes. It also provides telescopic and night vision.

 

Bio: Ferro has just graduated from Beacon. He graduated top of his class, in fact. Ferro didn't really care about all the ceremony. He just wanted to be by himself in the wilderness. Ferro works for himself. He prizes those long shots that take down high-profile targets. Assassinations. Stealth. Those kinds of things. Both the Grimm and human criminals have learned to fear for their lives when they see two eyes glowing green in the shadows or hear a faint whistling on the wind. But by that point, they already have an arrow through the eye.

As expected, I'm using Joshua, but, it'll be a bit different like this

Appearance:

Weapon: Gloves with no purpose other than attracting, reflecting, redirecting, and controlling any essence of Dust at will, which can be highly dangerous when misused or unfocused
Biography: Having applied for Beacon at such a young age, Joshua's transcripts were greatly above exceptional, as he was a prodigy with the usage of Dust. However, this was neglected by none other than Glynda Goodwitch, who deemed Joshua worthy, yet too young to be performing the deadly tasks in which he would be made to do during his time at Beacon. Because of this, Joshua must still attend Signal Academy, but is trying to convince Professor Ozpin to allow him, anyways. Far above the average of students at Signal Academy, Joshua will oftentimes find a way to get to Beacon and see other people fight, or even try to follow the students to their missions.

Aria exited into the forest clearing. She looked around. Nothing here. Until something pounced from behind. She rolled out of he way and activated Angel's Ascent. She pointed toward the black wolffish creature that tried to attack her, it was covered in bone bone-like armor. With merely a thought, bullets began raining out of her fingertips, when she had to stop to reload, the Beowolf took it's charged and weakly charged. Aria waved her hand over the ground below her and a diamond shaped emblem with an infinity symbol inside formed, she jumped impossibly high, and dove back down, bringing her claws into the back of the monster's neck. She fire a few rounds for safekeeping. She jumped off the monster and continued on her way. She heard a howl, followed by several more. "I'm in trouble." She said, before running back into the forest.

Ferro was flying far overhead when he saw the girl down below. Most people would take him for a bird up at the height he was flying. He also saw the pack of Beowolves chasing her. It didn't look like she would be able to handle all of them at once. Ferro tilted into a steep dive, his bow springing open and an arrow fitting onto the string in a second. As he neared the ground, he pulled up hard, alighted as the girl was running past him, and shot the arrow. It whizzed past the girl's ear, then with a tiny explosion split into ten smaller bolts, which continued their path through the trees. Several of the pursuing cries were cut off. Ferro fitted another arrow.

Name: Kiiro Youkai (Kiiro means yellow)

Age: 16

Gender: Male

Weapon: Kiiro has a wide range of weapons, he has the same type of gloves as his sister and uses daggers and his sword. His weapons are rather simple, but useful.

Biography: Kiiro is Akai's older brother. They get along pretty well. He's been training to be a huntsman.

Aria froze. "Looks like someone's got my back." She cocked her gun. "Or is out to get me." She smirked. She had always wanted that kind of enemy. Someone who couldn't stand her and wanted her dead. The only thing the two of them hating more than each other being the Grimm. She giggled even. Being a huntress was so exciting. She continued into the forest, hoping to lure her secret admirers with her.

Kiiro and Akai sat in a tree together, staring down at the scene below. Aria fighting the Grimm creatures and the person overhead.

"Akai...we shouldn't be in everyone's business all the time." Kiiro snapped at his younger sister.

"But we are not in their business. We are just watching the fight. Not a problem." Akai said with a smirk.

"After all..." She begun.

"We'd only be in their business if we burnt someone..." The two siblings said together.

Ferro let the girl past him. Inside his mask, his eyes narrowed slightly. This girl was too young to be a huntress. What was she doing out here? Well, it didn't matter right now. Ferro turned back to the approaching pack. Its number was smaller now. And was soon to be nonexistent. Ferro unleashed the arrow he had loaded, another splitter. It cut off more howls. Suddenly, the remainder of the pack, five Beowolves, burst out of the trees and undergrowth. They stopped, snarled at Ferro, and leaped forward. As the first Beowolf came, Ferro performed an uppercut with his bow, momentarily halting the beast. He whipped into a spinning series of slashes across its belly, then brought the point of his bow up into the beast's neck. He pulled it out, and as the beast was falling, performed one last spinning slash to get it out of the way. Ferro's wings extended, and with a mighty push, drove him toward the remaining four Beowolves. What followed was a one-sided fight, filled with the screams of dying Grimm. After he was done, Ferro took to the skies again. He had decided to follow the girl.

Joshua looked with awe as the older hunter and huntress slew the Beowolves. He had his gloves ready to use any form of Dust if he had to. (Are they from Beacon?) He thought, watching the fight progress. (It's not fair...I know everything Signal Academy has taught me...and more...I want to go to Beacon....) He sighed, slumping down onto a nearby tree, Kiiro and Akai right above him. (Why can't I? Being young isn't really a good reason....)

Aria was getting kinda tired so she decided to stop. She looked around. "Yup, I'm lost." She said to herself. "But that's no surprise." She continued, giggling. She yawned. "I should probably rest up a bit." She said with a noticeably smaller amount if enthusiasm. She picked a tree and started climbing. Once she had reached an acceptable height, she sat down, leaned up against the trunk and closed her eyes. She quickly opened them back up. She could have sworn she saw two other people in a tree not too far away. She sighed and went back to sleep. The loneliness must've been getting to her.

Ferro saw the girl climb up a tree and go to sleep. He needed to get some sense into that girl. Ferro alighted in the branches above her. "Ursas can climb trees, you know." he said, looking down on her from above.

Aria opened her eyes. Her prince must've come. Oh? She couldn't even see his face. How mysterious. She squealed on the inside. "So can I." She replied wittily. "But at least I can do it silently."

Ferro responded with a question. "I saw what you could do to a lone Beowolf. Think you could do that to a hoard of Death Stalkers?" Ferro didn't know who this girl thought she was, but one thing was for sure, he was going to bring her back to her parents. And make sure they knew what she was doing. But he wanted to hear her out first.

"Nope." Aria replied bluntly. "Deathstalkers don't have the same weak points. But if you're speaking in sense of defeating them, I should be able to do just fine." She smiled cheerfully to cover the lie. But there was no way she was gonna let this mystery-man think any lesser of her for her age or gender.

"Regardless of whether you think you could or not, I'm bringing you to a safe place. And contacting your parents." With that, Ferro stopped down from his perch, grabbed the girl around the waist, and pushed off with his wings. He had tried carrying a person before, and he knew his wings could handle it. He began to fly towards the nearest settlement.

(Oh...they're leaving already....) Joshua thought in disappointmemt, seeing Ferro fly off with Aria. "I guess I came too late." Joshua said to himself, still against the tree and still oblivious to the two others right above him. "Maybe I could look for some Beowolves myself...."

Kiiro and Akai smiled a bit, watching the two leave.

"Shall we have a little fun brother?" Akai asked.

Kiiro knew what his sister was talking about.

"Pyromanics have to have their fun". 

And with that, the two snapped together, and several trees in front of them burst into flames. Joshua wasn't harmed though, he was below them. But if he and them didn't get out quickly, then they would be killed.

 

(PAYBACK SCHEMER FOR YOU ALMOST KILLING MY KASAI SPEAR AND CATCHING THAT FOREST ON FIRE) 

"H-Hey! Let me go!" Aria demanded. She started pulling at his arm. "I can handle myself!" She yelled. She stopped when she saw the forest suddenly burst into flame. The tree she was in moments before was in there. "Oh..." Then the fact that she had been kidnapped began to settle. "I'm serious!" She told the mystery-man. She turned on Angel's Ascent and started clawing and shooting at his right wing.

Instead of letting her go, Ferro dropped her and grabbed her wrists instead. A painful position, he knew, but this girl was out of control. He flexed his right wing as he flew. Minimal damage, thank goodness he had opted for a near indestructible coating. It had been expensive. "Stop struggling, or I'll carry you by your ankles next." He glanced back at the forest fire. What in the Grimm could have caused that?

"Or my ankles can grab you!" Aria shouted. She lifted herself up, grabbing the mystery man's head between her feet and she pulled down, sending them both spinning. Just drop me, you jerk! She didn't say it, but it was the thought that counted. I can handle myself!

Suddenly, a black shape swooped down from behind a cloud. A shape with wings, a sharp beak, and nasty talons. Ferro immediately let go of the girl's wrists, dislodged her from around his neck, and brought his bow to the fore. A swift shot entered the Nevermore's head through the left eye, then exploded. The headless body crashed through the trees and came to rest on the forest floor, where it quickly began to decay. Ferro tilted into a high speed dive, zoomed (who uses this word anymore ) past the falling girl, and caught her in his arms. He carried her like a baby until they reached the ground, where he set her on her feet. "Perhaps it would be better to move on foot, considering how you won't accept flight." Ferro split his bow down the middle, keeping the bowstring attached to both sides. "I really don't want to have to tie you up."

"Lets go Kiiro." Akai said simply, standing up.

Kiiro stood up as well, taking his sister's hand. They both stared down at the fire that was speeding quickly. Kiiro looked at his sister and nodded, and they both leap from the tree, Akai pulling her shot gun and changing it into her scythe mode, the two cut through the branches, soon reaching the ground. From there, the two started running out of the forest. 

"I just wanna know why you're treating me like such a child!" Aria snapped.

"I can handle myself you know. I took out that Beowolf just fine!"

She sighed. "Where do you even wanna take me, anyway?"

Ferro cut into her statement. "You took out a Beowulf. Not the pack chasing you. And I'm treating you like a child because you are one. Regardless of what you think, you are still under the custody of your parents." Ferro turned and began walking. "And I'm taking you to them now, and I'm going to explain to them exactly what you are doing." Ferro kept his grappling hook/bow at the ready, in case the girl should try to run away.
