Grimm Tidings (1x1x1x1(x1) )

Posted

This RP is for Neko-chan, NatronSpore, CloakedSchemerX, maybe Evelyn Bookless, and myself. No one else is allowed to post here save for the occasional comment.

"Legends. Stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villains; but have so easily forgotten their own story. Man, born of dust was strong, wise and resourceful. But he was born into an unforgiving world. Creatures of darkness, Grimm, were bent on returning man's brief existence to the void. But even the smallest shred of hope was enough to unlock the key to winning this war, appropriately named Dust. With nature's wrath in hand humankind fought back the darkness; and in its absence came peace, prosperity and most importantly: life. Though Grimm tidings are among us. So gather your soldiers, build your monuments to a so called "free world", but remember, there will be no victory in strength alone."

The Grimm are slowly returning stronger than ever, it is up to us huntsman, us huntresses, to combat the darkness. This story will follow the lives of four of such peoples, and perhaps a fifth.

Sikota's character:

Name: Aria Asyr

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Appearance: Not the tallest of girls, but probably a little above average in terms of height. She's rather frail, almost to the point of being able to be called skinny, but not that thin. She has neck length, kinda messy, light auburn hair, and hazel colored eyes. She wears dark violet clothes under her rather form fitting, lavender, almost white armor. It's in your best interest not to mention her bust (or lack thereof)

Weapon: Angel's Ascent. It's a ring on her left hand that expands into a clawed glove. The tips of the claws function as a machine gun and there's different types of dust stored along each finger, which combinations can flow into the glove and shoot out the palm.

Bio: Having been training to fight ever since she could remember, Aria eventually set off on her own, believing herself ready to protect the world. She's a huntress, just not officially.

Aria turned her head to the two siblings beside her. "H-Hi there." She stuttered. She had to get a hold of herself! The boy was making her nervous and his sister's scaring. She took a deep breath. "I-I'm not sure I caught your guys' names."

"I'm Kiiro, and this is Akai." Kiiro introduced.

Akai smiled a bit.

"Nice to meet you. Aria is your name, right?" She asked.

Joshua sat down confused by Aria again. He heard her speak to him directly, but her lips didn't move. Unsure of whether to think or say, or WHAT to think or say, Joshua just looked at Aria and nodded unassumingly. "Y-yeah...I'm coming too...." He murmured, to no one in particular. (Wait...I don't even have any money....) He thought in contradiction.

Aria smiled back. "Yup that's me." She didn't want to conversation to move into a lull... She needed something else to say. "Um..." She couldn't think of anything to say. Joshua, you won't be needing any money. Could you come over and help me out a bit? These kids are scary.

Nothing seemed to help Joshua's confusion. Without any idea of how Aria was communicating with him, he decided to help Aria. Unfortunately, Joshua was shy and socially awkward himself, as well. Instead of talking to the two, Joshua decided to start any kind of conversation with Aria instead, even if it involved them. "Um...Aria...." He tugged on her sleeve once, "Who are they? Do you know them...?"

Nope. No idea. Aria replied buntly.

But the blonde boy's cute but his sister seems incestuous and well... Evil.

(*pokes* I think it's dead.)

(I was waiting for Neko-chan)

(*pokes Neko* Is she dead too?)

(I was waiting in Schemer.)

(Oh dear.)

Joshua stared at Aria, blankly and still puzzled— at this point not even giving a response to the growing awkwardness of their communication. Instead, he just looked back at Akai and Kiiro, getting to the point of the question he had been meaning to ask. "So...." He hesitated. Kiiro seemed rather calm like he wouldn't just snap and yell at Joshua, but Akai was different. Then again, both were at fault. "You two were the ones right above me earlier. Wh-why...." He hesitated again, and gulped nervously, standing beside Aria despite his everlasting confusion regarding her. "...Wh-why did you...well...burn the forest...?" Joshua just now took heed of what Aria had said. He Aria must've liked Kiiro! And a fear of Akai. A grin would shoot across Joshua's face if it weren't for what he had just asked and the fear of being burned (or rather, in an attempt to be).

Akai gave Joshua a sharp glare.

"Little boy.....haven't you heard of having fun?" She asked.

"Burning this is our way of fun." Kiiro stated.

Aria flinched. She was slowly losing interest in Kiiro. "Well..." She gulped.

There was a hissing sound. It seemed to resonate all around them. "Did anyone else here that?" She asked nervously.

All three of the older men stopped dead in their tracks. Ferro's bow was in his hand faster than anybody could follow, and the twins had their armor transformed the next second. Ferro launched himself up and began scanning the area around them. From the ground, the group could see him turn his head, then tense suddenly, grip his bow, and whirl it in a circle as a black shape flew at him. The shape was cut in half, and the parts began to dissolve as the fell away. Ferro quickly landed. "Sutherrus." he said breathlessly. Mike and Dane got horrified looks on the faces. Suddenly, behind them, huge black tentacles erupted from the ground. One of them rose up and then prepared to slam down on the pyro-twins. Another swept along the ground to slam Aria and Joshua. A third made for the Boulder and Bullet, and the fourth attacked Ferro.

(I was thinking King Taijitu but okay...)

Angel's Ascent creeped over Aria's hand. She grabbed Joshua's arm and jumped off of the propulsive platformed she had created below her. She pointed all her fingers to one the tentacle rearing over Kiiro and Akai and fired. The minuscule bullets seemed to have little effect, unfortunately. "Look-" Her sentence was cut off by a tentacle smashing into her, relinquishing her hold of Joshua and throwing her against a tree.

The giant tentacle whipped itself against Joshua and Aria— Aria slammed against a tree and Joshua pummeled to the ground. Joshua's heart skipped a few beats after the impact, as he lay there bleeding from his back and also coming through his mouth and nose. Young and frail as he is, Joshua got up only to fall again— a strong sense of nausea and lightheadedness striking him quickly. Joshua may have been able to strike powerfully with his expertise with Dust, but his body couldn't take hits very well at all.

A smaller tentacle came lunging after Aria. She made her best attempt to get out of the way as quickly as possible but the tip of the tentacle caught her cheek before piercing the tree. By reflex, she swiped up, detaching the the barbed tip of the appendage off its unseen body. She felt the wound. Blood? Why hadn't her aura protected her. The cut stung, she wiped her face. "Ouch!" What kind of wound was this?

(WHY DO I HAVE TO DEAL WITH GIANT TENTACLES AGAIN)

The tentacle slammed down, splitting up the twins.

"Kiiro! Now!" Akai yelled.

Kiiro nodded, and they both snapped, incinerating the tentacle imminently.

There were plenty more though.

(Meanwhile Joshua and Aria get there butts kicked. Nei! Stop being pervert and give us a hand!)

Aria saw Kiiro. Akai was on the other side of the flames but out of the sight. She was safe. But he wasn't! "Kiiro look out!" Aria cried, as dust filtered through Angel's Ascent, she dashed forward at an impossible speed. Her claws plunged into the tentacle, freezing it from the inside out. Ice poured out of the tentacle and it burst into a flurry of ash and snow. "You okay?" She asked, panting.

Kiiro smiled softly.

"I'm okay thanks to you." He said.

Akai sighed, walking to Kiiro's side.

"Bug off Aria. Kiiro is mine." She snapped.

"I'm your brother, Akai." Kiiro said seriously.

"Still. Your mine." Akai said seriously, crossing her arms.

As the tentacle came for Ferro, he side-stepped, dashed to the base of the tentacle, and cut off the whole thing. The second tentacle going for the Boulder was simply grabbed. Dane kept his hold on it, but soon began to be dragged around. Then, with a great jerk, the tentacle broke free of his grasp and sank under the ground, as did the rest of the tentacles. A loud hissing filled the air, then a sound like an elephant being strangled. Maybe a mile off to one side, a great shape breached the earth. It was perhaps the size of a large building, covered in bony plates, with numerous tentacles trailing from one end. The other end had a vicious point. Two rows of strange tube-things sprouted out of either side of its massive bulk, and as it arced skyward, the tubes spit out globs of black stuff. The globs hung in the air a moment, then began whizzing toward the small group as the Sutherrus slipped into the soil once again.

Aria's face was already warm thanks to the flames, though Kiiro only made things worse. As the black globs came flying toward them, Aria had to think fast, she was distracted so she didn't know what else to do. "Look out!" A gust of wind shot out of her glove and blew the twins out of harm's way and the Suttherus's projectile hit her full on, sending her crashing down the forest. The cut on her cheek began to burn. "Ow ow ow." She cried trying to climb out.

Joshua clenched his head. His vision was blurry and he was close to fainting, but he still brought earthen Dust to his gloves and shot them through the ground. An underground wave triggered the rock, dirt, and stone to amalgamate into stalagmites, stabbing the Suttherus all around the main body. Joshua's aura surrounded him temporarily, sealing his wounds and cuts so as not to make him bleed any more than he already did. Even so, he had a loss of some blood and couldn't think or see clearly.

The Slutherrus was wounded, but broke free from Joshua's attack. It rose from the ground, much closer this feet, no more than a few kilometers away from Ferro. "Thanks for the help kid." An unknown man, he was merely a purple blur as he ran by and disappeared. His silhouette burst out of the trees and threw what could only be seen as a disk with the sun against him. The projectile was attached to some kind if cord or chain and sped along at an impossibly fast speed. He threw, or rather launched a second from his other hand with equal, if not greater acceleration. They both cut deep into the Slutherus's tube-tusks. The Grimm squealed as the mysterious figure pulled back and the two circles tore out and returned to him. The seemed to fold in on themselves and attach to his arms or something. He landed a few feet away from Ferro. The beast's squealing ceased and it sank back into the ground to die. "Don't tell me you've gotten softer after all this time, Bowman." He said turning to face his former leader. He was armored in a style similar to Aria's. His complexion was flawless, his jaw perfectly aligned, his violet hair hung off the right side of his forehead. He flashed a bright smirk at Ferro.
