Shinedown: Her Name Is Alice
CHAPTER 1
She sat by her older sister on the subway, gazing out the window at the dark tunnels rushing by, a cherry red ipod's headphones plugged into her ear, her expression thoughtful, distant.
The lights flickered, but she ignored it, glancing into the old book her sister was paging through: she snorted laughter, as she realized it was Alice In Wonderland.
Really? Just, really?
Her sister could be so....
Her thought's were interrupted by the rabbit: white, its fur tangeled and greasy, its eye's bloodshot, it sneered at her, then hurried on.
Much like Alice in the novel, curiosity overcame her, and she took off after it, running through disgrunteled passengers that clogged the cars to the very last part of the train, were she cornered it at last.
She gazed at it in awe: who let a rabbit loose on a sub...
" Welcome to Wonderland, Alice.'
She started, as the rabbit spoke to her, certainly not an every-day occurrence.
" That's not my..."
" It is now, my dear. Come; if your late, it's off with all our heads."
Whatever happened next was unknown to her, as the car swam around her, and everything dissolved to blackness.
To Stand outside your virtue, no one can ever hurt you.
Or so they say...
