A Note From the Author: First attempt at creating an RP. Please bear with me! Any comments, questions, criticisms are welcome. 

UPDATE: Since I'm new at this, I did not make an OOC thread. I'll decide which is gonna be which later, I suppose.

 

 

 

"Let me think... It all started pretty slow, maybe one or two, and then suddenly, whole swaths of sky were just dark. And every night more would be gone."
"The stars were just disappearing out in the sky?"
"Whole worlds! At the time, I didn't really understand, but now..." The old man gestured to the sky, a inky indigo, bordered on all sides by the hunched houses of Traverse Town. There was nothing. No moon or stars. No sign of anything beyond the darkness hanging over their heads. The man with his shoulder length silvery hair kept his bright blue eyes on the starless night, arms folded over his chest. The Darkness pressed so close on them now, it felt like he could reach out and touch it. Maybe he could bring it down, bring some light back to the sky.

All of his preparation had led to this. All of his instincts were telling him to bring the fight to the enemy. And every ounce of his wisdom told him to run and hide. This enemy, this dark , was coming. And coming soon. His silver hair whipped around him as he turned to leave. A black glove snapped up from the shadows and fingers wrapped around his face.

"Too Late."

 

The Keyblade Graveyard had been the site of the last battle of the Second Great Keyblade War. As the Wielders of Light and Darkness clashed, it cracked the Realm Between, and warriors from across the cosmos were summoned to aid the Light in its struggle, bequeathed power by the dormant weapons strewn across the wasteland. Xehanort's final effort to claim Kingdom Hearts, and blanket the world in darkness, was brought to an end at the hand of hundreds of Keyblade Wielders. The man himself, the last of the Darkness to remain, was shackled and cast outside of any known Realm, and the cracks were sealed shut. Peace could finally return.
 

As the forces of the light returned to their own worlds, armed with ancient Keyblades, the Darkness was swept back, pressed off the dormant worlds, filling every sky with stars so bright, they might have been about to come crashing down.

The Destiny Islands finally felt safe again, enough for Sora and Kairi to feel like maybe their lives could get back to normal... Whatever normal might have been anymore. It was a welcome respite, to get to see their friends again, after four long, hard-fought years. Despite the difficulties of saying goodbye to all their friends and allies, they would never be far; only a Glider-ride away. It was all well worth it to Sora and Kairi; a chance to be together. For Riku...

The Darkness would never really be gone. The war could never really be won, merely stalled. In his mind, the peace could not last.
 

Twenty years have passed since Sora, Kairi and Riku's return to the islands. The Worlds since freed have protectors, Keybearers all linked together across the vast sky by their charge to care for their home. Though in this time of peace, with the Worlds clear of Darkness, few of the remaining Wielders put much stock into the need for constant vigilance. Kairi and Sora managed to move on together, and tried to bring their friend with them, but Riku was too focused, certain that the Darkness would return.

But it was not the Darkness they had spent so long fighting. This was new... Whispers, faint, frightened voices reached them first; only a few here and there, followed by more and more every day.Vengeance is coming. The message they were carrying seemed indecipherable, and trivial, as well. Even as time went by, and the whispers turned into shouts and pleas, it became clear that something was coming, but none of the Wielders could find any trace of what it might be. And then the first star went out. Vengeance is coming. The first in twenty-four years. And suddenly, it was like the voices couldn't be stopped, heard across the Realms, with Wielders scrambling to find some way to stop this darkness. Vengeance is coming. After a few nights of single worlds going out, their Keybearers lost to the rest of the network, the First Culling occurred: black streak across the sky, hundreds of worlds snuffed out in an instant, as if they'd been simply scooped out of the black.

The remaining Keyblade Masters left had no choice but to recognize the danger this new Dark power presented, but it was Riku who made the first move. He was the most prepared, having spent the last twenty years fighting, practicing, training, while the others had accepted the peace as endless. But his investigation was cut short, and by the time other Keyblade Wielders had arrived to help, there was nothing left but a messaged etched on a wall.

Vengeance has come.

• Please take the bio seriously and fill it out to the best of your ability. I'd like to see this RP go somewhere!
• Follow the rules for the board. Romance should be PG-13 at the most, no excessive gore, no excessive cursing. Feel free to give me a smack on the wrist if I break the last two.
• Canon characters will be available at request, as well as relationships to canon. If there's a character you don't see on the list, ask, because I might have something planned for them!
• I need at least 3 more villainous characters. Any interested parties should send a private message, please!

OMFG I MIGHT FIGHT ALONGSIDE LIGHTNING!  Are you gonna have her be the savior, etro's champion, or just a l'cie? lol that sounds like something you'd ask in an MMO.

Etro's Champion. Until LR:FFXIII drops, I won't add in anythin regarding her being the Savior. She is in her XIII-2 form, nothing more. I did make references to outfits from LR...or will. Stayed tuned. If she's ok'd then forsee her in a couple different outfits...especially the Miqo'te one

As far as Xion goes... After a day of deliberation (mostly with myself), we (I) have decided to let you play her. Bio's accepted as well. Just pick an age. I don't mind her being 16 or so still, what with Time Travel being an option now, just have them both be 30-whatnot or in their teens.

 

Lightning is accepted as well, though I'm still trying to decide which worlds to visit.

Where are you from? Upon his waking in Traverse Town, he remembered only bits and pieces of his past, a flash of color and thought in a pan before winking out forever. As he continued to move about the city, his memories became weaker and weaker. All knowledge of who he was, gone in mere hours, leaving him broken and without purpose, lying in a rain soaked street. Despite this loss, he had no choice but to make a life for himself or else waste away. His strength afforded him the life of a brawler, his lack of memory making his only choices a mercenary or a hired thug, a lifestyle he took to without hesitation or discretion. As he continued to fight, he came under the training of a shadow magic master, who seemed to recognize the battered bruiser, but the lost fighter could not for the life of him remember the man. The man took Jeice under his wing for some time, teaching the young man shadow manipulation techniques, which he mastered almost immediately, as though he had been taught them before, improving those skills beyond any apprentice before him. The condition he was brought to the shadow temple on was that he refrain from fighting, or taking unrighteous jobs. Even the Shadows have moral standards, after all.

The more time he spent on his focus and meditation, the more his skills improved, granting his shadows reach and endurance that few other masters had accomplished. These jumps in ability continued, but his self control began to deteriorate once more, to the point where, during a chance meeting with a former partner, Jeice was goaded into a fight, and the unbridled fury he released refined his shadow skills to the point his fists burst into a jet black flame. The promise he'd made was broken the moment he threw his first punch, and with little choice, the shadow master pressed Jeice back out into the world from the shelter of the temple, telling him to find his destiny, and to find the light among the disappearing stars. The final gifts his old master could give him were a book of poetry and a ship; a gummi ship, he called it. The stars overhead, winking out of existence, gave him no heading, but it reminded him of a phrase in the very first poem: "We'll work til the hourglass sands command, 'Now, you're done...'"

What do you wield in combat? An armory come to life and traipsing across the world, he carries a hefty one-handed curved blade tied horizontally across his waist. Like most swords of its kind, it has a crossguard, however, an additional strip of solid metal welded over the hilt to allow him to wield it in reverse, tied to which is a thin strip of black cloth that looked like it could have covered a blind person's eyes. His secondary weapon is a pair of rather unique weapons: bladed tonfa. They are entirely collapsible, able to slip up Jeice's sleeves to be hidden from sight on a track specially made for these weapons. About 2 and 1/2 feet long, the slicing edge stretches the length, with a stabbing point on what would be the back end for most. Also hidden beneath the shirt, tucked in behind the belt, is a small arsenal of throwing weapons.
Anything else I should know? Can manipulate his shadow, creating a clone of himself, able to fight and react nearly as effectively as the real deal, though with a lowered damage dealing potential. Despite his passion and aptitude for fist-fighting, he bears no visible scars. The sleeves of the jacket have been sliced through at the forearms, as though a couple times Jeice messed up the choreography with the extendable blades. On his right hand, a black fingertip-less glove covers most of it up to the wrist, marred by what appears to be burn marks; a side-effect of his improved shadow control, Burning Darkness, or, as he affectionately calls it, the Hades Flames.

Where are you from? After the end of the Second X-Blade war, Ventus had finally reunited with Aqua thanks to the efforts of  Sora, Riku and Kairi, although Terra was no where to be found. He returned with his friend to Castle Oblivion, which Aqua had restored to the Land of Departure due to thinking peace would be everlasting now that Xehanort was gone. As the years passed, Ventus continued to practice and spar with Aqua on occasion, although he didnt exert himself that much, since he thought that they would be safe. He was hoping Terra would return, but he never did. However, the whispers of vengence came, and Ventus was ready to help defend the worlds once more.

What do you wield in combat? Ventus wields his Lost Memory keyblade and uses Light based attacks along with many Command styles based on the spells he uses. He has an affinity for Wind spells, but is very skilled in both magic and swordsman ship.

They are physically 17 & 16 but chronologically they are 37 & 36. physically they look teens.Eh. I'll just put their physical ages to save the trouble

Milo came out with top marks, and went back to his world, where he was well-received. Milo was treated like a hero, a legend, before he had even done anything worth celebrating. Milo took the praise easily, and acted natural about it at first. Eventually though, it went to his head. He stopped practicing in the forest, took up a much easier lifestyle, that was full of flirting and bragging.One girl especially caught his eye. She had stunning blue eyes, and raven black hair. She shy, but clearly saw him as something more than a man. Milo saw that, and instantly took advantage. He flirted hard, acting like the buff and macho keyblader he was out up to be. She was clearly falling for him hard, and Milo kept it up. He decided to show her a bit of swordsmanship and archery, just to convince her that he was more of a hero than he actually was. Soon though, the village was attacked, while Milo and the girl were flirting in the forest. He ran as hard as he could, only to find the village already in the midt of siege. Darkness was spreading, and destroying everything in its path. Milo summoned Lionheart and charged into battle, but was quickly incapacitated. There was no way to destroy the darkness. He last saw the girl, consumed in the darkness, before he lost consciousness, and everything fell to black. He reawakened on the village world, everything in ruin, all the people dead and gone. He trained for five long years, and quickly mastered the art of using his weapon. He wasn't chosen to go through the Mark of Mastery, but came close. Milo is good at using his single blade, to deflect, attack, and cast. He has especially mastered being able to wield a specific element in his right hand while he uses Lionheart in his left. He can use fire, lightning, and ice so far.Anything Else I Should Know?: Milo has practically given up to the point of almost killing himself. Keep that in mind.

It'd make for a wonderful tragedy subplot though, and it's thanks to RPing with you and others that I've been able to expand my limited writing/typing knowledge so that doing this is now possible. When I first started, I couldn't even think of RPing as a villain, and now it's entirely possible that I can if need be.

Where are you from? An old man who lives in Traverse Town and runs a shelter for the wayward and lost out of an old church. Caenum speaks little of his past, but scars on his body and a haunted look he wears when he doesn't think anyone is looking indicate a dark past. Recently, he has been having nightmares of Darkness and they've been getting worse since stars started disappearing.

Caenum wields his blade one handed with powerful strikes. He supplements his sword attacks with earth magic.
