So, this morning, I'm just la de da ing around in X when I decide to heal. I check my status on everyone: just low PP, nothing special, so I just fly to a random city near by, walk in, and then the nurse tells me my Pokemon have Pokerus. I was like cool, whatever, but then I go to check who it is, and lo and behold, everyone in the party now has Pokerus. Pics: (For some reason, they're gigantic)

Everyone in a party of six simultaneously is damn well near impossible.

Well I think the reason for this is that Pokerus spreads to other Pokemon as you battle. You could've had it for a while now. I dunno, that's just my guess. I don't even know if it spreads until you have your Pokemon checked for it.

I still play the GBC Pokémon RED VERSION....

I think i'll stick with it after this " pokerus " outbreak.

Only thing is that I had checked my team beforehand...

If it's contagious, I have no clue why it's impossible.

You see, I had checked my stats only a moment before flying to the Pokemon Center and healing, so somehow within that time all of my pokemon(somewhere around 30 seconds, at max, for most players) all six of my pokemon were infected.

They were infected because that's what Pokerus does.

Pokerus infects every single Pokemon in your party almost instantaneously. The exact same thing happened to me on every single Pokemon game I have ever played every single time I get it, and the same thing happens to everyone else that gets it.

So no, it's damn well not even close to impossible. Sorry to burst your bubble.

But what WAS close to impossible was you getting Pokerus in the first place. It's 1 in 21,178 for a pokemon in the wild to have it, and even then you have to either attack it with a physical move or capture it. So you're EXTREMELY lucky. (To put it in perspective, getting pokerus is almost equivilant to how many people are at a major-league baseball stadium and getting a single winning seat #) That's insane. It's also 2.6x rarer than a shiny which is already 1 in 8100+.

4:42The closest estimate I can make to my total time, which arount 23 seconds accounted for travel, and 4:09 of it was status checking. Only thing I did after checking stats is fly, so normally only the flown on pokemon has a chance of getting Pokerus, but apparently incidents like this have occoured before using moves like Dig or Teleport. Anyway...

You didn't seem to read my post. I left very little chance of even ONE pokemon with Rus on it, so, how would it have caught and spread to a hole team of six is mere seconds? Besides, it dosen't seem that fast to me, seeing as I'm trying to get Rus on some others in my box for trade and they aren't infected yet.

Boxed Pokemon can't spread PKrus. Only in the party can, and that's with the lead PKrus battling. (or encountering, I dunno I usually battled with it, them bam-all infected.)

I know, I'm saying pokemon I keep in my box.

Cool :D

Wait, I've had more Pokémons with Pokérus than shinies o.o

I always get Pokérus when I do a playthrough.
