One of my classes is taught by a teacher who I really think doesn't know anything about teaching. I can't comprehend his lectures at all, and the info. won't stick in my head. I was confident going into the first test, but I questioned one thing and it threw me off. Combine that with the dumb mistakes I wouldn't have made if I had been allowed to use a calculator and I failed the test. Our teacher emailed us our grades - I had a d - the weekend after the drop date. I studied the whole week before the second test. However, a lot of it was matching and while the stuff in the book made sense the answers on the test were written in a way so they all sounded exactly the same. How the heck am I suposted (sp) to match the stuff if they all sound the same. I felt better about this test, however the result was the same. So here I am with a d in a course I can't drop. And to make matters worse, the girl who never shows up has a b. I need at least a 60 adv. on both the tests and the assignments to pass. At this point, I think it would be a better use of my time to work on the classes that I'm doing well in, than to try to pass this class and bring my other grades down with it. It will probably push graduation to another semester, but I'm okay with that because next semester everyone will be in Japan (including the one friend I have on campus) but me. I was hoping to stay another semester anyway. So what should I do.
