No idea. But all I know is I have two Window xP computers, one being from 2003 and this one that I'm using right now probably from that or 2004. Funny because I was reading the beggining and was like "oh that's funny considering the situation I'm in". Anyways, I have no idea but I hope there isn't a catch!

The operating system is old. It came out in 2009. That would have brought the cost down. The processor is pretty old too. What's the computer brand?I personally would avoid that.

windows 8 is kind of shit for steam and a lot of people have just said its shit in general.

But yeah research a little more because you can do much better.

I don't use Steam, but if it is "shit" for Windows 8 then that's Steam's creators fault. It's not Microsoft's fault if Steam hasn't updated for Windows 8.

It's not "shit in general". Windows 8 is Microsoft's greatest ever operating system. I love it. It's amazing. It is a learning curve, but once you get used to it, it's fantastic.

Will you be playing games on it or just simple document work/browsing? What kind of graphic card is it? The RAM seems kinda outdated. The common one we use is DDR3 instead of a DDR2. What intel motherboard is it? Sure is strange for a 64-bit system to be using some outdated parts. I could be wrong though. =/

It'll be both for gaming and work. I can't afford to separate the two xD Also, what exactly is the difference between DDR3 and 2? And I don't know that last question.

Sorry with the late reply. May I know what graphic card is it? DDR2 Rams are pretty much outdated parts in my opinion. DDR3 rams are quite cheap nowadays. Rams are for browsing your computer smoothly. The difference? It's a lot. It's common for gaming now and it's the minimum requirement for it if you want smooth or at least decent gaming.

The motherboard question? umm... How am I suppose to say this...

It's the part where you connect ALL your computer parts in.

Especially how its more difficult to navigate through everything to find what you want, now that they took out the start menu. Oh man, I love it for that reason. But seriously, Win 8 is not much of an improvement. Its good for tablets, I'll admit, but for a desktop computer, I believe it wasn't really necessary. (but that's just my opinion)

On topic: The specs aren't really that good. It has DDR 2 memory, which in all respects is obsolete now, unfortunately. If you have any knowledge in building a computer, I could point you to some better alternatives that would not only get you a functional, more modern computer, but you could also play games and do want you want with it, for cheaper.
