The night was starless and dark, the only lights emanated from houses and street lights. For a town this small, it wasn't much, making it strange for the stars to appear gone. Nevertheless, their presence was absent and the moon was but a dim orange color. Joshua lied down drowsily and Alexander sat beside him, gesturing for Joshua to calmly sleep as they were to sleep in Yumiko's home for the first time. Before, they simply exchanged shifts of watching over each other while one sleeps-- watching in the midst of everlasting fear and anxiety. Yumiko lied asleep already, the two make-believe brothers currently unable to even with a sense of security. "......I don't think I can really fall asleep...." Joshua whispered quietly. Alexander lied down beneath a sheet beside him. "...Try to. We both deserve some comfort for once."Having just moved in, it took a great while for the entire Arborvitae family to settle in at one home. All of them. The household was huge-- a mansion with dark, lightless windows and curtains-- perfect for the circumstances. Dante and Lira stood outside as the family entered. "We have one extra house to use, even if it is much smaller. Maybe someone here can use it," Lira said with a slight smirk, suggesting herself to be the one for it. In truth, Dante couldn't trust her to be secluded. "Perhaps," He stated nonchalantly, "However, we'll have to decide on who gets it another time. Likely tomorrow."

"Hmph. Nice place I suppose." Sylar leaned on a pillar nearby. "You guys are taking a risk being in one house together though. A large family moving into a mansion is going to spark interest you know." Sylar spoke smoothly. Then he chuckled to himself, before showing off his fangs in a toothy grin. "Then again, maybe that's not such a bad thing." Sylar said creepily. He bounced off the column to his feet, and made his way to the door. "I'm thinking a bedtime snack. Anybody else?" Sylar said. He started to jog back towards town, intent on finding a hapless victim.

As Garland and the other family members have entered the mansion,he gazed on the lightless and dark mansion that he will lived in there from now on."Wow,this Baby was bigger than i thought.I could make my own game room on this one!"Garland says as he grin mysteriously since he has something in mind."Anyways,since some of you guys have their own rooms,can i have my own?.....i got a brilliant idea for decorating..."Garland said to his family since he decided for his room looked like...

Ophina and Garrison Mackinz lived in a small house. Because their parents had mysteriously vanished, Ophina had been caring for Garrison as much as she could. Garrison sat on a chair, at a table, eating the rest of his dinner. Ophina sat at the couch, reading a book. Garrison looked at his fractured arm. "Ow!" he uttered. Ophina looked up from her book. "Garrison, take it easy." "Where did Mommy and Daddy go...? I want my mommy! And my daddy!" Garrison sobbed. He lay on the floor. Ophina knew he was in a large amount of distress, for he never referred to their mother and father as 'mommy' and 'daddy'. "I would break my other arm and cut off my already broken one for them to be here!" Garrison wailed. Ophina sighed. She picked Garrison up. "Lay down. Your whole body is warm. I'll get you a glass of water, then you'll go off to sleep." Ophina carried Garrison to the couch. Garrison stared outside at the sky through the window. "It seems it's a bit nippy tonight!" "Here." Ophina handed the cold glass of water to Garrison. Garrison took the glass. He drank from it. He spit it out onto the floor. "This tastes terrible!" Ophina was confused. She got the water where she always did. She went to the sink again. No water came out. She hauled a package of water bottles into the room. "This'll have to do." She cut the package. Ophina suddenly felt the coldness of the water evolve into a warm liquid. "This is very strange...I hope it's not an epidemic..." "Sis, it's fine. I don't need water. I do want something to eat, though." "Well, okay..." Ophina was very worried that the disappearance of their parents had affected their water source. It could possibly be that her parents had a secret to getting the freshest water.

 

 

 

Angelica smiled a large grin at the sight of the mansion interior. "It seems that there won't be enough for us all, but I doubt it's a problem. This is the perfect place to do some scheming!" Angelica squealed. "Even if they never even get going..." she whispered. "Anyways, it will be rather exciting to see my room!" Angelica cheered. 

"I would suggest not," Noah scowled at Sylar. "We get to a new town and the first manner you wish to take care of is biting someone." He pointed out. "Noah is right," Dante agreed with a calm demeanor, yet a menacing presence looming with him. "I do understand you all may be hungry, however." He concluded, then turning to Noah. He turned even paler. He calmed a bit soon, then, "Yes...I'll take care of it." Noah headed out to the village himself. "Do what you need to do with Noah," Dante said to Sylar and headed inside with the others. Azal and Hazel ran into the mansion with awe, examining about every inch of their new home. "Wow, our room is pretty big...!" Hazel exclaimed to Azal, who was busy going just about everywhere else. Lora walked into the mansion then, with Elizabeth. Elizabeth, or Maria, looked emotionless as ever, hearing everyone looking at it all with awe. "I don't even see them right now...."

My first day of school ended up being after the sun went down, Kyo thought as he walked to night school. "Yo Kaga!" Kyo turned to the voice and saw the guy responsible for him ending up at night school. Kyo started to walk away as fast as he could, be two other guys stopped him and pushed him into the alley. "Hey guys is this really-" Kyo was cut off when they pushed him. "What do you think happens now Kage?" the boss said. "Well you got of lucky earlier today. You wanted to say sorry. Or you wanted to give me an offering." Kyo stated with a simile on his face. "Thats it," the boss yelled and tried to punch Kyo but he dodged it and the boss ended up hitting his own guy. "Kyle I thought you were faster" Kyo said. "How did you get behind me, and who is Kyle." the boss said. "Wrong name I guess, my bad" Kyo said. He threw his hands forward and in a flash there were screws all over the boss's chest. He started bleeding from the five holes in his chest. Kyo kicked his leg and pushed him down and removed the five screws from his chest and cleaned it off with the boss's shirt. I'm late for class now Kyo thought.

Malachai looked indifferent, then turned to follow Sylar. "So. You wanna keep 'em, or bite and run?" He inquired then Dante rained on the parade, then sent Noah.

"Sending him? C'mon. Really? He's no hunter." Malachai scowled. "Nor can he bring enough for everyone, unless you plan to add to the family."

 

Sora closed the door behind her, then locked it. She put her keyes in the bowl on the hall table, setting down her purse with it. She stretched, then heard some cursing. Laying her Beretta in the drawer of the table, Sora slipped her shoes off. She carefully padded down the hall to the computer room, where Seraphim was typing away on the computer. She looked up as Sora eased the door open.

"You're late."

"We got busy. I tried to call..."

"I don't care." She stood and stomped over. "I told you not to be late. I cooked!" She looked scary. Sora cowered. "I wasted my time for you to let it go cold!"

Sora's head snapped back as Seraphim slapped her. The blonde grabbed Sora by the shoulder, throwing her against the wall. "Can't you do ONE THING FOR ME?" She threw a punch, striking the side of Sora's face. The grey-haired girl was thrown to the ground. She cried softly, looking up. Sera nearly kicked Sora, instead kneeling by her. She yanked Sora's hair up. "Don't you dare do this again."

Sera hauled her up. "Go to our room." She shoved her and slammed the door behind her.

 

Sora was pressing a cold washcloth to the bruise on the side of her face when the door opened. Seraphim went straight for her and hugged her. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I-I had a bad day. Oh god I'm sorry Sora." She produced an bag of ice, pressing it to the bruise. "Please. I'll do anything."

Sora reached out to touch Seraphim's cheek. "Just remember who you are."

Sera kissed her girlfriend gently. "I'll get better. I swear I will."

The prematurely grey-haired girl kissed back. "I know."

 

The 1968 Highland Green Mustang Fastback roared down the road. The driver was dressed in a miniskirt, a button-up shirt currently unbuttoned, showing her scared stomach, as well as the edges of a tatto covering her right shoulder.

Shifting gears, the Mustang jumped forward.

Her phone rang. She clicked a button on her headset. "Got the SS working?"

"I need a new part. I'll be there in the morning. I got our hotel rooms paid for so you got somewhere to relax."

"Alright. See you Caulder." She clicked the line off, then grabbed her phone from the cup holder and hit a speed-dial.

"Natsumi. Did the sheriff send the files?"

"Yes. He has the guy ready. I also have the address for the victim...Sora Takagi. Current address is her girlfriend's place. And...wow. This kid's packing. Has a CHL and has a Beretta. Twenty round mag."

"Nice. Thanks Nat." Clicking her phone off, she sped up.

One more hour of driving.

As Garland has found his room that he likes,he was planning something."Let's see.....this rooms was dark,like always.....and the bedroom was cool from the beginning,and last but not least,the plaything..."Garland grinning with a smile as he knows what kind of decorating he wants to use on his room.As he leave the room,he headed to the mansion's front door."Sorry guys,i gotta go out.....i need supply for decorating..."Garland said with evilly grin as he leave the mansion...

I saw a boy get taken into an alley by some guys on my way to night school. I got interested an followed them, it looked all they wanted to kill him or something. Helping him would probably be for the best, but in a flash he took out two guys with no effort at all. The last guy dashed toward my way, so I punched him without realizing it. He flew backwards and landed at the feet of that boy. "Thanks for the help there miss." he said without a care in the world. "Sure, no problem, but what about them?" I asked him. "Well we can kill them and get rid of the bodies, just kidding that would be too much work and I'm late for school" he said. "Oh, yeah I have to get to school as well." I said. He waved goodbye and left. Kokou continued walking to school.

Ophina took Garrison to his bed. She kissed his forehead, and went downstairs to finish her book. "I don't understand...did something happen to have wrecked our water source? It only matters that Garrison stays alive...I hope that apple will get him through the night..." Ophina turned the book's page.

 

 

 

Angelica burst open her room door. Every inch of the room met her approval. It was a medium sized room. "Okay then...while the others are doing whatever, I think it's time I did a little tidying up..." she said. "It won't take too long until we all get settled in." Angelica opened the door. It squeaked. "Oh...that dreadful noise...I must do something that soon..."

As Garland was in the town at night,he walking while looking at the list that he needs."Let's see....some of this thing i need are from casino and--huh?"As Garland almost finish his sentence,he saw a Kokou from afar."So,it looks like he has made some friends already,eh?heheheh"Garland said as he watch him while amusing."Seriously,what are you planning?"Garland said as he knew there were other reasons if he wants to go to school and Garland begins to head out to get his supply...

After that  boy left I felt like someone was looking at me from afar. I left immediately, when I got to school there were about  a couple dozen kids outside, I got pass all of them and made my way to the class. To my surprise that same boy was there, "hey, miss you never said you went here" he asked. "I forgot to mention it I guess" I replied back while walking over to the vacant seat next to his. "My name is Kokou" I told him. "My name is Kyo" He replied back.

Alicia scrolled down the page on her computer screen.

"There has to be a good game somewhere...." She complaint rather quietly.

"Viola would kill me if she saw me up this late..." she thought.

FINALLY after hours of searching, she finally found a game.

"Ib?" She quietly asked herself.

"Sounds good enough." Alicia said, clicking download.

The Mustanf pulled up to the hotel, parking out front. She buttoned her shirt up, then climbed out of her car. Getting her bags from the trunk, Evelyn checked in and headed for her room.

Heading inside, she set up her laptop. She quickly dialed Zorro.

"Oi. Antonio Banderas. I'm at the hotel. I'll go in tomorrow."

"Alright. See you then."

Phone call ended, and Evelyn unbutto ed her shirt. She stretched. "Damn drive."

 

As the ice pack was removed, Sora stayed still. Sera kissed the edges of the bruise, rubbing Sora's shoulders. She carefully began to pull the maid uniform off Sora, applying the ice pack to any bruises. She kissed Sora's shoulder. "Are you ok?"

Sora nodded. "Yes..."

Seraphim carefully picked up Sora, and transfered her to the bed.

The two tumbled down, carefully, before Sera nuzzled Sora's hair. "Do you...is it ok?"

Sora nodded. "Just smile. Please."

Seraphim smiled for her. "Ok."

 

Natsumi tapped away. Looking around...she switched screens and continued to watch her anime, Gundam Wing.

I was told this was the area he should be in. The General gave me information about him and told me he is all I have left. The General told me to take as long as I want, I found him pretty quickly in this town. I started following him until he was taken into an alley. To my surprise he took care of them easily with the help of that girl. That girl reminds me of something I've seen before. When he took the screws out he cut himself and some blood fell to the ground, but its not enough. I guess i will have to wait until he comes back. I told those three guys I'm with the police and I will arrest them unless they leave. Its pass midnight until I see him again. Just before he passes the alley I grab him and pushes him inside. "Hey miss you're really fast, I didn't even notice you." he said as if he were impressed. "But the last time I was here it didn't end well for the other party." he said smiling. "Then lets see about that." I replied. "But I rather not fight such a cute girl" he said grinning. "You have nice cold blue eyes, they do not lie. You are interested in engaging battle, right." I said. "Well shall we get started?" he asked. I nodded, his hands went up and was about to come down, but caught of them and shoved him against the wall. "This is my loss." he said once he realized my knife against his neck. "But you know your eyes do not lie either, you have nice warm red eyes." he said with a smile. I felt happy when he said that while looking at his face. I lifted up his shirt, "Hey what are you doing?" he said trying to get away, but he was too weak. I took my knife and cut his stomach getting enough blood on the blade and put it in a bag. I covered the cut with a bandage and put his shirt back down. "Um miss what were you-" I cut him off and said "My name is Alice." He started smiling "My name is Kyo Kage, my father gave me all sorts of military training, but you were far better than he was, what is your rank?" he said. His father was in the military and I heard my father changed his name from Kaga to Kage after my mother died. He really could be the one I'm looking for. "I am a lieutenant" I told him. "Wow and you're so young, but so deadly" he said amazed. "Kyo I'm leaving, but before I do" I hugged him and kissed his forehead. "Bye bye now" I said as I walked to my motorcycle and rode away. He was pretty good but still so weak. now that I have his blood I can test it now.

Instead of sleeping, Garrison was reading his own book. His lamp shone brightly. Garrison was sweaty. He kicked off the blanket, and luckily he had his own bathroom in his room. When he was finished, he had to bend down to the floor to pick his blanket up again. Garrison finally went to sleep, but woke up with a scream two hours later. "Ophina!" He cried. Ophina ran up the stairs. "Garrison! What happened?!" "I can't feel my broken arm!" "Oh for...Garrison, it's only numb!" "Can you tell me a bed time story?" "Garry...you're too old for that..." Ophina wore a faint smile. "Don't call me Garry!" Garrison shouted.

School was fine with Kokou and the class was okay and all. Alice is someone I probably can't ever defeat in combat. She didn't feel like she would be an enemy, unless an incident occurred and we end up on opposite sides. I made back home and jumped through the window into my room. I thought about what happened this night, Kokou, school, and Alice. Something is going to happen, I felt it looking into Alice's eyes. Alice reminded me of my father for some reason, the gentle gaze father had when raised me when I was a child. I guess I will go to my old house tomorrow to look for things. 

Sylar hissed when Noah was chosen to go with them. He disliked the brat. Converting him so he was eternally fourteen was a stupid decision. He wasn't the boy's sure, but that didn't stop him from regretting choices leading up to him. Sylar gritted his teeth. "Let's go Malachai. If we're lucky he'll et staked while we hunt." Sylar spoke to Malachai, following behind Noah as the headed towards the center of town.

Kyo was a nice guy and all but he can be really scary. I am glad I have class with him, Kokou thought as she walked through the town. There is still so much time left I wonder what I could do. Kokou stopped and bought coffee at one of the shops. I kept walking until something caught my eye. In the distance I saw Sylar. I ran up to Sylar until I was a few meters from Sylar. "Hey Sylar how's it going?" I asked.

Malachai looked unhappy but nodded. "Maybe we'll find some poor couple out for a stroll. The taste of love and fear in the blood is delicious." He muttered to Sylar. "Like their screams."

He smirked, recalling past victims. A plethora of different torture methods, but he had not heared the pleas and cries of the innocent for awhile.

He wanted to hunt.

"Don't hope for the unprobable. He might be a pain but he has a head." Malachai muttered back to Sylar

Angelica thought for a moment. If she was to live here, then she surely had to get to 'know' some people in the area. Without looking at her door, Angelica closed it, as it squeaked again. The foyer was big, and she was unhappy that her room looked pathetic in comparison. Though glad with the room she got, she still would have preferred a much larger one. "I wonder what to do..." she told herself aloud.

Garland arrived at the Casino around the town,and he wants to meet the manager.As they talking,the manager was surprised about Garland's favor."What,you want to buy one of my game machines?"The Manager said."Indeed,i love games that betting their needs.I need it at my place..."Garland said as he really want it that badly."Sorry kid,but the machine was not for sale......but,if you win on every game at my Casino,it's a deal..."The Manager said as he bet his Casino to him."Heh,to challenge me is foolish......I accept your offer..."Garland said,with evil grin on his face,making it look like a Vampire and he begin betting the game...

Ophina looked outside. It looked like it was going to rain. "Ophina, if the apocalypse happens, will you be there for me?" "Of course, Garrison." "What about attacked by wolves? Would you think we'd survive?" Garrison's face was serious. "Most likely!" Ophina exclaimed. "How about mythical creatures?" Ophina looked down. "You're scaring me...are you silently saying we would make it out alive?" "Garrison, stop worrying about it! I'm very sure nothing like that can occur! And I would never let anything happen to you!" Ophina hugged Garrison and closed his door. "I have a feeling a little birdie will tell me anything is possible..." Garrison uttered as he hid himself under the covers.

After I left Kyo, I tested of our blood. I am going to have to wait until night to get the results. I rode on my motorcycle for a while thinking of a place to sleep. My motorcycle is custom built from the military, it has weapons all over it. It was built to be indestructible and used by the care program or as we called it Compass. Compass had access to the most top secret of information and weapon. Our pay wasn't so bad either. I got the address of my father's house, Kyo has become the new owner of it now. I guess I will spend the night there. When I get there I will probably have to break in. When I got there I opened the first floor window and jumped through. Kyo doesn't live here but he does spend a lot of time here. I found some of things used recently here and there. I head to the second floor and I found a bed, and slept until I awoke. It felt like an hour of sleeping and someone was walking around the house. I sat in the chair in the corner, the front door opened and someone was walking up the stairs. The door opened and I saw the same sliver flash, I threw the scissors on the the desk and deflected every last one. "Oh it's you." he said. "Alice how long has it been?" he asked. "It was only two hours ago." I told him. "So what are you doing in my house?" he asked "Why did you attack on sight?" I questioned. "The window was open and I rather not ask questions before attacking. I am not physically strong so I can get killed easily." he said nonchalantly. " I see. I don't have anywhere else to go." I answered. "But why here?" he asked. "I was told this was Kage's house by the general. He said I should stay here" I replied. "Ok then." he toss a key over. "Here this is your key now, I had a spare." He said. "Thanks, where do you live?" I asked. "I live with my friend since my father died." he replied. "You are going to start living here again." I told him. "huh" he said in shock. "You have skill and can help me solve those crimes." I told him. "Fine, whatever I'll get my stuff later." he replied. I have no intention of solving any crimes but, this town is strange I want to find out more. He turned on the light and blinked a few times while looking at me. I forgot I went to sleep in my underwear. "You should put some clothes on" he said looking embarrassed. I put on my jacket and ask him "What were you doing here by the way?" "I came to find something, but I'll come back later" he said. "Very well I will take you back, come on." I said putting on my pants. I got on my motorcycle and he got on behind me. "Um where do I hold onto?" he asked. This was built for the use of one person, so two people were not thought about in the design. "Hold onto me" I told him. His arms wrapped around my abdomen. I got to his house in twenty minutes, saw him jump through a window and I left.

Seraphim James stroked Sora's grey hair. She loved the girl so much...but she felt horrible. She kept on abusing her. Slapping, punching. She nearly did some unspeakable things but stopped herself. Seraphim didn't know why, nor thought she deserved, the unending chances that Sora kept giving her.

Scooting out from the ped and ensuring Sora's head was on a pillow, she retrieved her underwear and got herself some orange juice. Sitting at the kitchen table, she drained it....and sat in silent thought, until finally she heard a soft yawn behind her.

"You should sleep."

"Are you ok?"

Sera sighed. "I am. I promise."

Sora padded over, and straddled Sera. Nuzzling her girlfriend's neck, she hid her face withing Seraphim's golden locks. They stayed in this for a few minutes, before the doorbell rang.

 

Frowning, they extracted themselves from the position, with Seraphim answering the door.

A cop.

"Yes?"

"I am Officer Davis. Are you Seraphim James?"

"Yes..."

"I have a warrant for your arrest on the charges of statutory rape."

"Are those worthless shitheads the Takagis the ones behind this?"

He paused. "I am not at liberty -"

"Not at liberty my ass. Those jerks threw Sora out! I might suck sometimes to be a girlfriend, but I took her in. I love her, and I never have touched her without her expressed consent. So go ahead and arrest me in front of her. Or you get off my property, and I will come down to the police station to face my accusers face to face."

He paused. "I will -"

"My stepparents are part of the local church, and he is a War Veteran and she is a successful lawyer. So back off before I go above your head so far you try to look your neck breaks."

Davis blinked and took a step back. "We will see you tomorrow."

 

Slamming her door shut, Seraphim headed for the kitchen, where Sora stood, shaking. "Sera?""It will be ok." She kissed the poor girl, then pulled her into the bedroom. "Go lie down. I'll call Miss Anderson."

Grabbing her phone, she speed-dialed the woman.

"Seraphim?" the older woman's voice was sleepy. "What's wrong?""I'm being charged with statutory rape. Yes I've been having sex with my girlfriend yes I know you don't approve."

There was a pause. "Ok then."

"I need help. Please. I love her Missy." She sniffed. "You know it."

The voice sighed. "I know."

"Police station, tomorrow. Noon."

"See you there."

 

As they hung up, Seraphim looked at the sleepy Sora.

She'd never let Sora go back there. Not when they kicked her out in the first place with barely her shirt on.

"He's no hunter," Dante agreed with a harsh tone, "but unlike some of you, he knows not to run up to someone and bute them in plain sight." Dante stated boldly and seriously, seeing how there were still plenty of vampires who went out into the city without his permission. "Any of us who kill someone out their without my consent will be handed over to Lira." He exclaimed. Perhaps his family is too reckless. Some of them, at least. Rachel hadn't spoken since arrival. She looked into the lights of the city, then went into their home. Her room was in the top floor— along with Dante, Lira, and Noah's.

 

Noah turned, glaring straight to Sylar and Malachai. "You two need to get some things straight," He began with a confident tone, "You do not speak of another of us being killed," he said to Sylar, then turning to Malachai, "And you do not speak aloud of doing so either." He sighed, and then continued walking. "You should all know," He said much more calmly now. "This town is known to be very quiet, friendly, and most residents can...trust anyone. That's why we're here." He smiled.

As Kokou came up and talked to Sylar, Noah turned back a bit, leaving Malachai with Sylar as well. He took a bit of change in his pocket and walked slightly further, right next to a police officer heading to his car. Noah dropped all the coins, feigning a mild accident. There was quite a bit across the floor, and Noah picked up them one-by-one. The officer reached down and helped. "Ah, thanks, officer..." Noah stood and read his name. "...Davis." He continued. The officer looked at Noah a bit puzzled. "Something wrong?" Noah asked. "Oh, no - I just noticed you were from the new family that just moved into the mansion." Noah feigned a smile now. "Yeah, it's really nice. You should come over sometime! Bring anyone you'd like to as well. But perhaps," Noah continued again, "We might be able to...come to your place sooner? I have missed my old home." "Sure, come anytime." The officer replied. "Perfect. Would you mind if some others in my family tag along?" "No, not at all...!" "Thank-you...." Noah grinned real this time. "Have a good night." He left. The officer returned to his car amd drove off. His home wasn't far off.
