The night was starless and dark, the only lights emanated from houses and street lights. For a town this small, it wasn't much, making it strange for the stars to appear gone. Nevertheless, their presence was absent and the moon was but a dim orange color. Joshua lied down drowsily and Alexander sat beside him, gesturing for Joshua to calmly sleep as they were to sleep in Yumiko's home for the first time. Before, they simply exchanged shifts of watching over each other while one sleeps-- watching in the midst of everlasting fear and anxiety. Yumiko lied asleep already, the two make-believe brothers currently unable to even with a sense of security. "......I don't think I can really fall asleep...." Joshua whispered quietly. Alexander lied down beneath a sheet beside him. "...Try to. We both deserve some comfort for once."Having just moved in, it took a great while for the entire Arborvitae family to settle in at one home. All of them. The household was huge-- a mansion with dark, lightless windows and curtains-- perfect for the circumstances. Dante and Lira stood outside as the family entered. "We have one extra house to use, even if it is much smaller. Maybe someone here can use it," Lira said with a slight smirk, suggesting herself to be the one for it. In truth, Dante couldn't trust her to be secluded. "Perhaps," He stated nonchalantly, "However, we'll have to decide on who gets it another time. Likely tomorrow."

Malachai rolled his eyes.

"Yes almighty Noah." He said sarcastically. He kept his tongue; he didn't bite in public - he prefered taking them somewhere secluded. Their delicious screams were like a Bach or Beethoven concert.

"Well played." He muttered to Noah. "An entire family? We all should be eating well tonight." He glanced at the house. "Don't suppose we can pop inside for a midnight snack?"

"Huh" Kokou said as she turned around. 

"If you guys are going to get a snack I want in" Kokou declared 

"Why did so many leave? What the hell are they doing?" Angelica asked herself. "I'm not going to get involved, though. Too much work." She laid on the ground. "I am curious to see how humans would react to us. Probably kill us on first sight."

 

 

 

 

 

While Garrison was sleeping, Ophina was trying to fix the pipes. She then found a piece of a pipe with a hole in it. Another set of pipes was in the bushes. "What...the hell? Must have been one of those rogues or animals..." Ophina was still puzzled. "How could...that give us gross water? Is it because that whoever did it took those other pipes off? I'll never understand."

(Ah gods...this is what I get for not being able to come on here for a long while...I need some time to think about the post and read through everything and what not. Plus I have other business to take care of...If it's okay, I need to take another break for a few days, with other business going on.)

Groggily Natsumi looked up. On her computer was...uhm...crap.

Quickly exiting the tab, she found herself somewhere else. Exiting there, then there, she looked at the bottle of sake that was sitting on her desk at home.

"...I really gotta lay off the sake when worked up." Standing, she realized she was naked. Facepalming, she retrieved fresh clothes, mostly w grey tanktop and some sweat pants - and flopped onto her couch to watch TV. It was late or early, depending on what you saw, and she was not that tired.

Of course her cellphone rang.

"Nat."

"Rose...what do you want at this time of night?"

"Telling you I want every known associated of the guy we're here for tracked down. If you will."

"Fine." She groaned. "Why?"

"Because I want my bases covered. Email me your findings then go to sleep."

Hanging up, Nat dragged herself to the computer and began to type.

Sylar sneered when Noah spoke back to him. He didn't respond; that was exactly what he wanted. Rather, he decided an act of defiance would do him fine. He sprinted forward, surging up to the car's speed. He kept to the sidewalk, and his black garb would make him harder to see in the night. He waited until the car made a simple curve, onto a bridge over a stream. Sylar jumped onto the car at an angle, using his weight and strength to swerve the car. It definitely swerved, careening into the rail of the bridge, sending the vehicle and it's driver into the stream below. Sylar jumped off the car, back onto the bridge. He waited to see the total damage he had caused to the car. Hopefully he hadn't killed the officer. Death tainted the taste of blood. Sylar jumped down from the bridge into the stream. He saw the officer, still stunned inside his overturned car. Yes! The meat had lived. Sylar walked forward easily, not letting the officer get a good look at him. He knelt down next to the broken window and whispered to the officer. "How unfortunate that you be driving along." Sylar's tone was seething with hatred, not necessarily directed at the officer. Sylar knocked the officer out with a quick, clean blow. It was better that he not scream. Sylar sunk his fangs into the officer's exposed neck, sipping some lovely crimson elixir. He took a healthy drink, enough to keep the officer passed out for a while, but not to kill him. Sylar turned and wiped his mouth, waiting for Malachai and Noah.

Malachai was sadistic. He was crazy.

But by god, he wasn't stupid. Noah would tell Dante, and Dante would fry his ass.

 

Hissing with anger, he leaped down and dragged the officer out of the car, and, along with Sylar, dragged them onto the shore.

"Are you mad?" He hissed. "I as well as you might hate having to wait, but even I known waiting is needed. Noah, a pain he is, is also correct. You'll be lucky if Dante doesn't fry your ass." He growled to Sylar. "Now you'll have to explain the disappearance of this man, unless you want to let him wake up here and see what then happens.

Kokou watched what was happening before her. She saw the blood and wanted some, but she had control over herself. "Hey are you guys done yet" she said as looked at Sylar, Malachai, and Noah.

"Please, I'm not that stupid. The effects from the bite will make it seem like he's been drugged. I made sure he didn't get a clear look at me. Not a soul will believe him, and if you had left him in the car, the whole thing would look like a bad accident." Sylar spoke clearly and easily, not doubting himself, or his plan, for even one moment. Sylar ignored Kokou as she called down to them. He didn't really want to talk  to her. "Now, if you'll excuse me, the longer we linger at a scene like this, and do things like drag the body from the car," at this he glared at Malachai, "the more likely it becomes that we get caught. I am heading back to my home, as I have gotten my fill. Good day." Sylar said, beginning up the bank of the river.

Kokou looked over at the man. I guess that plan could work, but won't there be marks that could be an issue Kokou thought. " Ignoring someone is pretty mean" Kokou said to Sylar. "But we should really should leave. I'll see you all later." Kokou said as she left the area. On my way back to my house I saw Kyo and a girl on a motorcycle speeding down the streets.

"Curse it all to hell!!" Alicia yelled.

What a stupid ending. It took her most if the night to beat it too.

"Forgotten portrait....well what was I supposed to do? It didn't give me a lot of options!" She snapped.

She sighed, walking off to her bed.

"I'm going to sleep...." She said quietly, laying down.
