Yeah... Most of Horror Movies or even "Tragedy" Movies have sad, depressing endings where the main character is dead... or the Ending is so confusing or fits nothing...

 

I've seen several Horror Movies this year and I'm not even a fan of Horror Movies... 

 

I saw "Sinister", Insidious, Mama, Carrie, The Conjuring, Paranormal Activity 4, etc... and most of them had the same ENDING! The main character died or the we don't know what happened!

 

Only Insidious and The Conjuring had a "Better Ending"...

 

Why are these movies so... like that?

Horror movies are "blockbusters." They're not really meant to have a good storyline, they're just meant to entice you to watch and deliver a few good screams. Some scary movies have tried a storyline and most, more or less, succeed. However, most are just money-making ventures. Really unfortunate in you ask me. I think movies with good storylines would make people want to watch them over again, but what can you do?

they became sick of happy endings and they want to change this...i dont like it either my friend

Carrie was a great movie for horror and Sinister, too.

Because everyone loves dark and/ or edginess

All the " new wave " horror films suck ( except Carrie).

They don't have the intricate plot of PSYCHO, HALLOWEEN, THE AMITYVILLE HORROR, or the 1976 CARRIE anymore.

It's all ' more butts n' boobs, less plot " these days.
