Within the now run down, but habitable, confines of Safferon City the largest building, Silph Co, had just exploaded. Many people had began screaming and running away as the building, now ablaze, began to crumble. Smoke clouds rose up to be seen in Vermillion City, Cerulean City, Lavender Town, and Celadon City. This being said even still some stood side by side with their pokemon and tried to put out the fires. While others looked up at the top of the building to see the cause. Two dark figures standing atop Silph Co. One holding an unrecognizable object. The other with an infernape beside them.

And that is where our story begins as well as the game.

She looked over her shoulder at the new comer, a smile was on her face. "I was waiting for you to come out" she said as she held up her arms as she saw the bow drawn "and to answer your question: That

Sikota emerged in Celadon city. "Everything seems all right here." He observed. He looked to his Umbreon. Amber was strong, but the two of the alone wouldn't be able to cut it. "Whaddya' say to makin some new friends, Amber?" His Umbreon seemed hesitant. Sikota was too, he grew up with those allies, been through so much in Hoenn. "Come on." He said, walking through town, Amber trailing behind. They decided to visit the gym.

(.....well there goes the neighborhood...maybe)

The man with boxing gloves sat down nearby. his Metang stayed nearby. "Today is a good day but my did it get hot all of a sudden" he said as the sun had been rather bright suddenly

The thumping continued to grow louder and faster until a Nidoking charged through the wall of flames, barely harmed due to his thick hide. He grabbed Robert and Sandslash and once again ran through the wall of flame, making sure to guard his passengers with his body. Once they were through, he sat them down and spat a zip-lock bag with a note inside out of his mouth at Robert's feet. He then turned towards Camerupt, ready to fight.

The woman growled "Camerupt Fire Spin!"

The Pokémon let loose spirals of fire towards Nidoking

"Electrodes, hmm? I can deal with that." Ferro enjoyed taking a direct hand in his plans, instead of letting underlings do it all the time. He strode off to the power plant. Before entering, he chose three Pokemon to bring with him. Aegislash, Trevenant, and Chandelure. . .

"would you like my assistance?" asked the Ninja.

"It will not be needed. Go see to other things. Oh, and thanks for telling me about the Electrodes." Ferro entered the power plant, poke-ball in hand.

She nodded and dissapeared

Leon blinked. He felt as if something was following him; someone to be exact. He gulped, ensuring Kawa was still perched on his shoulder before increasing his pace. Whatever was going on....Leon needed to high-tail it out of there and find somewhere safe. He wasn't cut out for this.

"Sorry Kawa. I know you love this stuff, but I'm not endangering myself nor yours.."

Nidoking grunted from the pain of the Fire Spin, and glared at Robert, as if saying "What are you doing? Take the letter and go!" He then turned back towards Camerupt and used Poison Jab.

Robert took the note out of the saliva covered bag and put it into his pocket. He then helped up the wounded Sandslash, and together they headed towards Safferon City.

"Grrr you let him get away! Bothersome little pawn!" She pulls out another whistle and blows it. This one is extreamly audible. A roar comes from nearby. Infernape retuns to cover nidokings back then camerupt went to the left.

Soon flying above the girl was a flore pokemon, Charizard she recalled camerupt, got on charizards back. And flew off wtih infernape following..

Just when he felt that he couldn't help keep Sandslash up any further, Robert spotted a trainer with his Mudkip (Leon) just a short ways ahead of them, heading in the same direction as they were. "Hey, can you help us?" he called out. He wanted to get to Safferon City where he could tend to their wounds in moderate safety.

The Nidoking walked away from the now charred spot where he did battle with the Camerupt, and headed off Route 7 into the wilderness. After a few minutes of walking, he met up with an man in a fedora, who smiled when the pokemon came up to him. "Good job Nidoking, you are truly a dependable friend. I don't know what I'd do without you." In his hands was a pair of binoculars. As the two of them walked off, the man remarked, "I hope that boy reads my message. He has promise, but he's not ready yet."

Leon spun on his heel, looking at Robert.

He was there when I tracked down the Infernape. Leon thought, looking Robert over. "I guess. I'm just trying to increase the distance from that ape." Leon said, sighing as he stuck out his hand, "Leon. Leon Stone." He cracked a smile, gesturing for Robert to shake his hand. "And you are?"

"I'm Robert West." Robert replied, shaking Leon's hand. "Don't worry, I saw the Infernape run back to its master. Can you give me a hand with this Sandslash? It became injured trying to save me from some fire pokemon earlier, including the Infernape, and now I'm trying to get it back to Safferon City where I can heal it in safety."

"Sure." Leon said, looking at the Sandslash. "Shall we get going? There's no reason to stall." Leon turned back to the way he was going, gauging as to how far Saffron City was from their position. "We really should. Saffron's still a bit far away.."
