Let me start off with an explanation. I got this 1.25 Liter Dr. Pepper for $1 at my trusty local store and put it in the freezer. I forget so when I pull it out it is partially frozen. Now on to my question.

Is it bad to thaw out the soda then drink it? The reason I ask is because this is not the first time I do it and everytime when I do, it tastes funny (not the same). Thank you in advance for reading but please let me know. I tried to look it up but not finding the answer I wish to have.

Bad as in unhealthy?

Not any more so than soda in general.

You can store soda in the fridge or even on a shelf at room temperature and it won't go bad, you know.

It simply goes flat (loses its carbonation) thats why it tastes funny.

The soda loses it's gaseous CO2, which condenses into H3O+, which in turn, in the presence of sunlight (when removed from the freezer) undergoes photosynthesis, producing O2, which is breathable oxygen. So, you can technically breathe the drink once it's removed from the freezer.

P.S. I'm not serious.Guy above me is correcto.

It goes flat.  Crush it up into a slush puppy and add more liquid dr pepper.

Okay, thank you all for the info. I'm going to drink my slushy Dr. Pepper in piece.
