HD Remaster, HD Collection, and remakes of older games have been very popular this past game generation. They're already continuing on to the next generation with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD for the Wii U, and there are quite a few games which deserve to be brought back into this new generation of gaming. I'll list the ones which I think deserve this treatment the most. Keep in mind, your opinion may differ from mine. Feel free to say any other games you'd like to see remade as well!
1. .Hack// (PS3/PS4)
This is likely the HD collection I'd like to see the most. The .Hack games weren't too well known outside of Japan, but the series has begun to gain a cult following in recent years. I've enjoyed the series, but never had the chance to play the games due to their high prices (It would over $100 to buy the four original games on PS2). So, I'd like to see a PS3 collection of the original four games be released sometime soon. Heck, maybe even a PS4 collection if it's possible. A lot of new fans such as myself would greatly appreciate this.
2. .Hack//GU (PS3/PS4)
The .Hack//GU trilogy is another part of the .Hack franchise, and just like the original games, it is incredibly expensive to buy the games. I believe that this would also be well received by fans.
3. Final Fantasy SNES trilogy (Wii U)
The SNES trilogy of Final Fantasy games (IV, V, and VI) were arguably the most influential games in the franchise, having set quite a few regular gameplay aspects used in most of the following games. However, they've been left in the dust by the Playstation era of the games. I think that a collection of the games would help reintroduce them to the newer generation of gamers, as well as give them the treatment they deserve. I believe it should be released on the Wii U as homage to the original Nintendo release of these games.
4. Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire (3DS)
Remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire Pokemon titles were actually expected by many fans. Both generations before it had been remade for the Gameboy Advanced and Nintendo DS, so it was a surprise that a RS remake was not released during the fifth generation. Many fans were looking forward to this, since they would attract attention to what is considered the black sheep of the series. It's a shame that they were never brought to the 3DS, but there's still a chance for this generation.
5. Mother Trilogy (3DS)
The Mother trilogy is famous for having gone from a cult following to being a decently well known franchise now. The second game in the trilogy, named EarthBound outside Japan, was recently released on the Wii U's virtual console. However, the first and third games have yet to be released anywhere outside of Japan, despite the requests of many fans. I think that a collection of the trilogy would suit the series well, and help Nintendo generate quite a bit of money from fans. I think that the 3DS would suit it well, especially after seeing the art style of Pokemon X/Y. I think that would fit these games well.
That's all I've got for now. Feel free to post your own ideas down below, and I'll post any more if I get new ideas!
