The rumors are true, it seems. We're getting another Storm game, the sequel to UNS3: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution.

 

There's a couple of things I want to note here: 1) No recycled character art at all in this scan. 2) Logo for the game is of Team Kakashi, so obviously the story is going forward to the Ten Tails Revival Arc. 3) Naruto and Sasuke are doing their Rasengan-Chidori combo from that same arc, so either this is a confirmation of the story mode OR maybe its a confirmation of new Team Jutsu mechanics or possibly Justu Clashes. 4) It seems that the art in the game will be drawn by Kishimoto himself AND that he is creating brand new characters exclusively for the game. Who are they? I don't know. Your guess is just as good as mine.

 

Anyways, that's all I have to say on the matter since is literally the first and only scan/piece of information so far. All I hope is that this game detracts from the flaws that UNS3. (And maybe not do the same stuff that got people bitching.)

I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing UNS4 on the PS4 and Xbox One and on Steam for PC gamers.

That's what I'm guessing, too. I'd personally really like it if UNS4 went through all of Part 1 and 2 (Like the DBZ games do, or at least the only one I've played anyway), but I don't really know how much content they can get on one PS4/Xbox One disc. Besides, considering how long UNS3 was when it was just the war, a game going through the whole story would take AGES unless they find some way to shorten it.

 

Also, something that's kind of bugged me that I'm pretty sure I'm alone on here but want to say anyway: The support only characters kind of bug me. I mean, yeah, there are some characters who we haven't seen much in the series, so it's tough to get a moveset for them. I get that. However, there's one big thing that kinda makes the whole idea a load of crap: In Ultimate Ninja 3 on the PS2, Shizune, Kurenai, Anko, and the Sound Four were all playable. From what we've seen in the data files, they're all support-only in Revolution. If a PS2 game by the same company could make up a more diverse moveset than what the Storm games have (UN has way more combos, jutsu, and UJs), why can't they do the same for the Storm games? Not to mention they already went and proved that they can make up movesets (Kushina, Shisui, and Iruka) in this new Storm game. It seems kinda ridiculous to have characters stuck JUST as support at this point. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Storm 3. I like it a lot more than UN3, and that's saying a LOT since that's one of my favorite PS2 games. The whole support-only thing's just bugging me at this point in the series.

I just hate having support-only characters take up what could be a really fun character. Kurenai was actually one of my best characters in UN3.

Why? Because she has red eyes and uses genjutsu  and dates Asuma and... those are the only things notable about her?

I personally believe they could fit better, more suitable characters and content into a next gen Naruto if they just drop the unnecessary Support Characters. I dunno many who preferred Team over Single, and with this game, they're trying to fix that with the beauty that is Team UJs.  I love that part, but I mean, can't we just use the playable characters as support (like we already can) and drop those Support characters that aren't even necessary.  In fact, even in Team matches, I never see anyone use those Support characters. Everyone uses playable characters for everything. It may be an exaggeration, but it's what I see.

I like team matches, but I never use the support-only people. It'd definitely be better if they were either made into full characters, or just plain removed. : Also, I'm new to Storm, but I don't think Konohamaru or Iruka were in past games. However, Konohamaru (Alongside Moegi and Udon as the Konohamaru Ninja Squad) was in Ultimate Ninja 3 on the PS2. They weren't really the best characters to use, but they were still really cool ideas. They had a really funny UJ, too.

Okay, I know we probably won't get any more new characters at this point, but... With the whole Team Minato thing they're pushing, anyone else kinda want to see Rin as a playable character? Besides, if Kushina's going to have a whole story of her fangirling over Rin and making her actually important, it would make a lot of sense in my opinion. Not to mention that, given the whole Obito thing that we know will go down in the game, Rin's going to be more relevant in this than in the past games.
