Unless somehow Riku can use or stop Stop or Reflect (KH2 Sora's reflect could block any attack from any opponent), I would say Riku would lose only by forms. 

Are ya'll kidding me? They'll stalemate in base form of course, but Valor form will defeat Riku in a long fight, Master Form will defeat Riku quickly, and Final Form will murk Riku severely . Therefore Sora will win if he chose to. 

Game wise, Sora can only use the forms you mentioned with the helps of others. So, it wouldn't be a 1on1 fight. That being said, Sora could still try to woop Riku with Limit form.

Okay this has nothing to deal with Riku being my favorite. But I can see Riku beating Sora, cause Riku is stronger then Sora. Well then again Sora is pretty strong to... I'd say a close call, but Riku most likely would win...

As you can see, Goofy's right behind him as Sora's in Valor Form. They just disappear since the KH Team thinks it'll be too OP if they allow the players to play in Forms or Summons without sacrificing teammates. 

 

I'm guessing what you mean by Game Wise you mean in-game. Well that's true.

 

I find them stalemating if they're both in base form (unless Riku doesn't have Stop which is a huge advantage for Sora).

 

That's just my two cents. I just don't see Riku winning this.

We don't know what powers Mickey gained between birth by sleep and KH1

I don't think they gained Drive Forms or else we would have seen them. All we can do is assume they have it, but unlike Sora it's not confirmed. But we can use Riku's Dark Mode that he had in Re:CoM even though Sora defeated that in Base Form in KH. But I'm certain Dark Mode's got stronger. I can only see Dark Form being a problem for Valor Form. Master and Final may defeat him easily. But I will reconsider this when KH3 comes out.

I don't think they would even show you, if it were a scene.  It'd be something left for you to figure out and Nomura says some bullshit, "I think it's better if you were to decided on that."

Yes, currently in terms of skill and battle, and possibly more brains, Riku would have the fair advantage. 

 

In terms of skill and battle, I would have to say Sora. In my opinion, Sora has been in way more battles than Riku and in a lot more close situations, not to mention he has the power of drive forms and has way more abilities, (some and only some of those abilities and battles are mostly showcased in Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix, not all). Yes it is a sparing match but looking back on it, Riku hasn't won against Sora yet, not to my knowledge anyway. Again, this is opinion

I mean aqua did beat terra in the mark of mastery exam, so I say Riku, he is just toooooo OP right now

 

He has faster attacks then Sora, he has all of the magic abilities that Sora has,plus Earth attacks, and he has a balance between light and dark.

Aqua only technically beat Terra due to him trying to hold back his darkness, which Master Eraqus stated that they both would have been masters but he "failed to keep the darkness in check" so you can't really compare a battle in terms of skill and strength with Aqua and Terra like you can with Sora and Riku

I mean, Sora is very strong, but Riku seems most... strategic, and Sora is most compulsive.

In battle Sora is way more strategic than Riku. He'the only chatacter in the game that ever used an enemy's wep. The 1st time without a problem. He can also learn a ability from the enemy (Exp. Jump from that Org. member in Beast's Castle.) Most likely he would take Riku's Keyblade and use it against him.

Also Sora has more experience and abilities than Riku.

LimitForm-back on destiny island Sora would lose all the time to Riku, everybody on the island even mention back in KH1 that Riku was the best on the island.You can count nightmare armor( if you want) as well since that was Sora's body that Riku was fighting in DDD. Sora has beat Riku twice, but we really don't know how many times Riku beat Sora.

 

Aqua beat Terra once and that is all we can go with, but  same with the Riku and Sora topic, we still don't know how many times Terra has defeated Aqua . but Aqua has beat him twice ( in the beginning of the game and when he was possessed by MX.)

That armor was Ventus I think. And Sora defeated Riku in his Dark Mode, more powerful than Destiny Island Riku.

The Rocky Shoe- Trueeeeeeee,however I did a little research on KH wiki and it turns out that it is the Nightmare armor is Sora but he is possessed by the darkness that engulfed his heart so he is trapped within the armor that is Ventus. So technically speaking in the final boss of DDD you fight Sora who is in ventus' armor, who is using his keyblade( Sora's). besides if it was Ventus we were fighting then Nightmare armor would be using Ventus's keyblade.

 

I still believe that Riku is stronger as of now but that could change.

Birth by sleep-neither

KH1-Sora

COM-Sora

KH358/2 days-Riku ( only because Sora was asleep for that one year)

KH2-tied

DDD-Riku

KH3- more then likely Sora( but in the beginning Riku will more then likely be stronger)

Ok. But remember Sora didn't use any of his forms against Riku.

Level matched, Riku always seems impossable to beat early on in KH1.

 

But he wasn't the one saving the world as long....

 

.....they might tie. Although, Riku never had to be put to sleep.
