After rewatching FFXIII-2 on youtube and a particular cutscene from Lightning Returns. I was really moved to tears by Noel's resolve

It seemed Noel must've really loved Yuel and for him and Caius to watch their beloved friend die indefinitely time and time again in each and every timeline must've been very emotionally painful for Noel and Caius to bear - especially Noel...because he knows he is powerless to do anything

Gosh, Nomura sure loves the 2-guys-and-a-girl pattern

  1. 1. If someone you loved (say your perfect partner) died in this timeline and you had the power to cross time, would you....?

    • Traverse to another timeline to seek that person out again knowing they would die again and again

    • Forget her/him and look for a new person

If it was my wife I think I would be obligated to give an eternity to her after I swore an oath on our wedding day to never leave each other's side. To hell with death do us part I will break the laws of this earth again and again to try and make my wife's last few moments the best that they can be till the end of time.

If I did not decide to commit yet I guess would go back once just to make her last day a good one and then go on and live my life and look for a new person and live with the people I know are perfect for me. My children. I would never forget her though. That would be completely disgraceful to someone that spent their time to be with you and wanting to truly know you on an intimate level.

Time travel is sooo cool!

This thread totally reminded me of this anime!

2 guys and a girl pattern... Sora/Riku and Kairi...

Gosh, it's been a while since I watched FFXIII-2 on YouTube. I might as well rewatched it xD

Either way, I can't agree more. I too was really moved by Noel's passion towards Yuel. All the feels when Caius had to watch their beloved friend Yuel die many times in front of his eyes. Truly painful to watch a friend die over and over and over....

Personally, I haven't felt the compassion of love for another individual before.

If that said individual is truly grateful to me and I couldn't live without said individual, I would go traverse to another timeline to seek that person out again knowing they would die again and again. Even though that said individual dies over and over again, you're still able to spend time with that said individual and be able to see that individual again that you truly loved. In a way, you're eternally with that individual because you will always see that person again and again and again. The fact that that person would die over and over again will be painful, but I think it's worth the consequence.

I don't think I will choose any of those two options. I would prefer remembering him instead of forgetting him and also having the good memories instead of watching him dying over and over.
