....Well, it's technically not part of the series since it doesn't have much to do with the main storyline; it's an "Eclipse novella" (pffft).
It's called "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner", and it's about, you guessed it, a girl named Bree. She was a minor character in Eclipse (and, also, one of the few that I didn't want to throttle to death). The book seems interesting enough, and it's a good concept, but I'm willing to bet that Meyer will probably butcher it.
I might check it out from the library when it gets there, but there's no way I'm spending $16 on it. (The book is only, like, 100 pages anyways.)
And has anyone else noticed that the name of the book sounds a lot like a chapter in Anne Rice's book, "The Queen of the Damned" ("The Short Happy Life of Baby Jenks and the Fang Gang")? Then again, a LOT of things from Twilight seem to be taken from Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles". (Mortal falling in love with a 17 year old, auburn-haired vampire? Sorry Smeyer, Mrs. Rice already did that WAYYYY before you [*cough*Remember Daniel and the vampire Armand?*cough*].)
