Another outlandish theory from yours truly. 

 

I think that one of the things necessary for the X-Blade is this so called Body suit that Vanitas,Ventus Vanitas , Riku and Repliku have all worn before. Perhaps its some kind of ritual outfit or something of that nature, but its clearly different then the usual Organization attire and I doubt it serves no purpose what so ever.

 

And you have to wonder why the closest thing they ever got to an X-Blade was made with that outfit on Vanitas. Think there is a connection? 

 

So you are saying we are gonna need 13 darkness' and 7 lights to all wear hoola skirts ? LOL

 

 

 

 

 

 

Seriously I doubt that's necessary to make the Xblade at all but just a preferred design.

Well the problem with that is, is that Vanitas were wearing it when they merged together-so it could be a coincidence. Plus we don't know if say everyone has to merge into one to form the xblade while clashing just like they did in BBS . That will be interesting

I was wondering why the children of Darkness wear Hawaii skirts. I don't think their necessary but I'll find it funny if there was Vanitas on a Lilo & Stitch world and people thought he was suppose to play as an evil spirit of some concert.

Heh, nah. I don't quite think the X-blade is tied to the weird, organic body suits--unless KH3 is promising us a keyblade war of everybody in muscle-defining suits and half-skirts.

 

I always assumed it had to do with the darkness. Riku goes skirt-mode when he's giving into the darkness in KH1, Vanitas is born from darkness, yadda yadda. I'm just gonna go ahead and assume succumbing to the darkness will guaranteed you being pumped full of power via body suits.
