Camp Freak [An original RP]

Posted

This RP is for OCs (original characters). And it's not KH based, sorry. :<

It's my first attempt at starting something like this; and it's fairly daunting on a board so jam-packed with KH roleplays. I'm really hoping this doesn't get shot down instantly.

[ -- First off;

A few basic ground rules before I even start to get into what this is about.

Please, PLEASE try to keep your spelling and grammar in check. Paste it in Word or something if needbe, just make sure that people can actually read it without a headache. A typo every here and there is no problem- barely spelling a single word right is. Sorry, but it seriously bothers me. I've had years of English teachers slamming grammar and spelling rules into my head, and now any kind of icky writing just... grates. Although I'm a hypocrite and do tend to start sentences with "And". It's not much of a grammar rule, anyway- basic stuff like forgetting full stops and paragraphing is what is just irritating.

One liners are to be used sparingly here, too. Short replies to long posts are kind of heartless. Even if all you can do is "Soandso jumped in the elevator along with Beezlebub", at least try and stretch it all beyond just one line. Like, if you're stuck with a one-liner response... how are they feeeeeeeeeling? What are they thinking?

Also, no serious God-modding or killing other characters unless you ask permission and they THEN ACTUALLY SAY YES. I've been in roleplays before where someone has asked another person of they can kill their character, has had a no in response, and then killed them off anyway. Gah.

[ -- The Concept;

There are monsters in the streets, the stores, everywhere. But they're not rampaging around, killing and causing havoc. In fact, they are relatively accepted. Evolution and mutation has caused the human race to have to grudgingly make way for their new equals. A lot of hatred still exists for the non-humans, and more for the half breeds. So much that scientists studying them have noticed how hard it is for those of us not entirely human, growing up and living around such prejudice. So a small group of them set up a camp, so to say, a sanctuary for the younger generations. And so, they brought in the kids that had been victimised or targeted, asking parents of such creatures to send their kids in, so they could have somewhere to live where they WEREN'T just freaks. Where they could be themselves. Not a lot of them were willing to stay, however... Once you're sent there, you need your parent's consent to leave until you're twenty. And not everyone feels like holding hands and staying in with the den of monsters.

[ -- Character Sheets;

Name: (Uhm, can really be anything.)

Age: (Bearing in mind the RP is set inside the camp and most people there leave at 20.)

What Are You?: (Half-breed, were, etc, etc... Any kind of creature.)

Appearence: (Picture and/or description)

Past: (Anything significant.)

The rest? I think it's better you work on and show during the RP. If you wanna participate, just fill out the sheet.

Zack was completely bewildered. "But then... you'd have no one to talk to. You'd be all on your own..." he said, somewhat dumbly; then again, he w

always felt the need to voice his thoughts (literally) whenever he was around anyone but Zane- who could pretty much tell what he was going to think anyway.

Then something occurred to him.

"Wait... You don't have anyone? Isn't that... kinda depressing...?"

"So, Adrienne, how long have you been here?" Ron smiled again.

"I just got here a couple of days ago actually," Adrienne answered.

'Though it feels much longer than that,' she thought.

Even though the boy wasn't able to see Andromeda's eyes, she turned her gaze away from him to hide her sadness.

"I guess it is", she replied quietly, an emotionless tone in her voice. "But like I said, I've got used to it. I like being alone."

Lies. She hated it. She wanted to talk, she wanted to have fun with friends, but she just couldn't. The ears, the tail, the fangs... she would never be normal.

But why do I avoid everyone here? All the others are different on this camp as well.

She didn't even know. Maybe she was just... afraid. But it seemed this boy didn't mind her at all.

"Or... well, it's not always that nice to be all by myself, really", she continued after a long pause. "It can get tiresome at times."

"There you go," he smiled. "You realise no one's got any reason to hate you here, right...? I'm guessing that's the big deal. Hell, you're better off here than I am. Least you don't get your twin getting you in people's bad books all the time, right?"

Zack paused, biting his lip. He hadn't meant to let the snipe at Zane to slip out. Argh, he had better start learning how to control that properly... His brother would be beyond pissed off if he heard Zack slagging him off.

"Well that wouldn't be a good idea either, why don't we just try to think of another plan, something that wouldn't at least make them notice we're not here." Marielle said observing the other beings walking around the place and thinking about her own life.

after that she said that ryo just finished making manicians said

"I know they won't, I guess there must be more of us that want to get out of here, so why don't we search for some of the, if we help each other things can be easier."

ryo

The White Rabbit felt upset. Not only did she feel slightly violated in some way, she also lost a couple of good crayons. She continued to look around, in hopes of finding replacement crayons.

"Well, it's your fault for leaving things lying around," Zane said snarkily.

It felt strange for him, though- he usually had Zack right beside him when he chose to pick on someone- and there was an odd emptiness to the moment. Zack, when they were younger, would have backed him up, adding and often finishing off Zane's taunts. And... now... Zack was the one who told him to stop. He never listened, but it was strange not hearing Zack's voice.

The White Rabbit frowned. She looked back angrily. "Well, I guess I got lucky of being sent here instead of being broken," she said. She then continued to leave.

Name: Aaron Likty

Age: 17

What Are You?: Human, but... something, something he's hiding...

Appearence: I can't get my hands on a pic right now, so... whilst thats pending... I'll desribe:

Slender with next to no fat, his figure made up of slim muscle. He's fast, agile, acrobatic, and active. His hair is black, with a single white highlight to the side... his eyes are black, with a small tint in his eye. He wears a pair of cargo pants with multiple pockets along the sides and front. His shirt has no sleeves... and tears off at the upper shoulder. it has several blood stains and holes litering its surface.

Past: He doesn't like to speak of his past... and only tells those he's close to.

He has no one to be close to... he was abandoned by his parents when he was to youung to remember. Strange then... that he does.

[Accepted. :3]

"Oh, boo-hoo, so you ended up here- GROW UP!" Zane yelled after her, turning and going to storm off.

When Zack raised his voice, it carried over the trees, loud enough to catch his twin's attention. Giving a rushed apology, Zane ran off in the direction of the yell, catching sight of his brother and White Rabbit walking off from each other and pretty much working out what had happened. Zane didn't see Zack heading towards him until the hand smacked hard at his cheek. Zack stumbled back from the slap, stunned.

"What the heck is your problem?!" Zack shouted, grabbing his younger brother's arm and physically dragging him back over to White Rabbit. "You're gonna apologize, Zane. Whether you want to or not."

Adrienne heard yelling in the distance.

'What's going on?' she thought.

She headed towards the source of the yelling and saw two brothers, one dragging the other and the White Rabbit walking away.

Aaron was sprawling his limbs over a tree branch... relaxing.

There was nice breeze, and the cool air felt good in comparison to the blistering hot sun.

After a moment, the White Rabbit stopped walking. She realized that even in this place, she was all alone. She looked down at her sketchbook, going into deep thought, before she tossed it aside. She then approached a nearby bush and sat in it, because that's what all rabbits do when they're alone-- hide.

The twins paused by the discarded sketchbook, Zane ripping his arm out of his brother's grip while he was distracted.

They glared at each other for a moment, before Zack hit him again.

"What's wrong with you?!" they yelled in unison.

Then Zack sighed heavily, pressing a hand at his temple to try and calm down.

"You gotta stop antagonising people, you idiot... Why can't you stop acting like a bratty little kid? Are you gonna apologise or not?"

Clenching his fists, Zane kept glaring at his brother, seething. He didn't have to answer.

Zack huffed a sigh, and turned away. "Fine. Be an ass."

He ran off, leaving Zane standing there, looking somewhat pathetic by himself. Zack crawled into the bushes after the White Rabbit, focusing as he moved. His shadow convulsed on the ground, sinking up over his body. It passed over him, leaving no mark until it reached his face, lingering in his hair, dyeing it black like Zane's. He carried on crawling, the shadow sinking back to the floor, but leaving his appearence as close to his brother's as he could get it.

"H-hey... you alright in here? Um, I'm sorry about what I did... and said...?" he said uncertainly, as he approached the girl.

The White Rabbit looked up. It was the boy from before. She became confused as to why he would come and apologize to her.

After a moment, she looked back down, replying, "It's alright. I was in the way, after all..."

 • Author

"No, I was out of order. I'm really sorry. I, um... Just don't think when I get mad. Can I... make it up to you somehow...?"

Zack noticed she looked surprised; no doubt, it was because he might look like Zane, but no way could he turn his brother's attitude around without it seeming strange.

The White Rabbit studied the pattern of the earth beneath her feet, in deep thought. After a moment, she looked back up, giving a slight smile, saying, "Um... I guess I could get some new crayons...."

 • Author

"Sure. I'll find a way to get some, okay?" Zack smiled. "So long as you don't hide out in the bushes all day..."

Okay, yeah, putting a spin on a bargain. It was a little mean, but, then again, Zack was trying to stop all the hiding away and the hate going on. Call it his own little mission- and, of course, one of the hardest nuts to crack would be Zane. If Zack had to lie and sneak around, he'd do it- just to get one up on his little brother, to knock the wind from his sails every now and again and remind him that neither of them were any better than the others, just because they could hide the fact they weren't human at all...

In fact, Zack couldn't help but think, weren't they worse than the others? They might have been brought up like humans, but they had nothing human in them- so they were more of monsters than the half-breeds that Zane seemed to enjoy targeting...

Sebby bounded up to Adrienne, curious.

"What'cha up to?" he asked, trying to follow her line of vision... which led, to him, one of the twins seemingly ranting at a bunch of bushes.

(I don't know how to get in. Help?)

The White Rabbit giggled as she replied, "Alright, then!"

She never wanted to be locked up in a cage, like a common rabbit, so she would always hide. Then again, where she was at was pretty much a giant cage. However, there was always room for her to roam, and she has cage mates, so she wasn't alone....

(( Just jump right on in! :D Literally, or not, it doesn't matter. xD ))

"Nothing I just heard yelling and decided to check it out," Adrienne answered, sighing.
