China's 13 year ban of videogame consoles is temporarily lifted, and Nintendo's stock value sees the biggest jump in 3 years.

Posted

Yesterday, one of the biggest changers, for videogame sales occur. The Chinese government, decided to lift the 13 year old of videogame console, though till now this lifting, is just for a certain amount of time, since the Chinese government, will be going over this ban, to decide if it is kept, or ditch completely. But, in the meanwile, if any of the big 3 wants to ship and sell console in the Chinese market, they first need to get the approval of the government. This haven't stopped the stock value of Nintendo and Sony from rising, in the past 24 hours. While Sony's stock value have simply gone up a mere 1.39%, Nintendo's stock value have meet the highest jump in 3 years, with it rising 10.76%. This have made Nintendo, valued as a bigger company than Sony.

The Chinese market will be one, that will have a big part in the results from consoles, specially since the Chinese government may let some to be sell in their market, while others are denied, like Sony or Microsoft being denied to sell their consoles, because of their highly mature and violent games.

Well those were only examples of what the government may do, since nothing is clear, but if they do decide to only let Nintendo consoles in, then I wouldn't call that exactly cheating, since it isn't Nintendo the one doing it, instead it is the Chinese government. Which pretty much is, "You want to be here, then you will play by our rules, if not, then no sells for you", so it isn't exactly cheating, unless there is some money included to get the approval.

it was just a joke xD but yeah i see where you're coming from :)
