There is a new type of darkness....rising over Japan.

A dark force has threatened Japan. This force takes the form of possessing people. Not just simple people on the streets....people you know. One of your family members, your principal, et cetera. 
You just recently found out your new ability to change forms. How will you use it?

Let us begin, shall we?

 

Akai hadn't told a soul about what she had become. She has tried avoiding the fact she did change forms one night. She was on her way back home, school was over. She was alone for now, but Akai thought about getting some ice cream or something. Maybe go to some book store. She had nothing else to do.

 

(Basically, everyone is on their way back from school. Things will get hectic when it comes to be nighttime.)

T.K. rolled his eyes. "You are just saying that because you have some reason that makes you so cold and alone. Look, I may have just met you, but I know that you aren't strong enough to face what is about to happen on your own, and you are going to need help. That is the truth. I mean do you even have any friends? Cause I bet you that your mother secretly wishes for you to have friends and fall in love one day. That at least was one of the last wishes that my mother had before she died." T.K. said as he sat down and started to form a tear in his eye.

 

 

April sat down with Trevor. "Trevor, I am so sorry. She wouldn't have died if it wasn't for me. She would have survived the darkness, but there are just some people who could not be set free from the darkness. You probably have lived a normal life until I showed up today." April said.

 

"I have freinds! I have Akito! I don't need anyone else." Akai snapped. 

She ran our the door before T.K could say anything else, and towards Akito's house.

She arrived at his house shortly. The place was almost completely destroyed.

"It's good to see you're okay, Akai..." Akito muttered, smiling upon seeing Akai.

Akai didn't move after Akito walked up to her. She simply shook her head.

"My mother was killed by someone who wants to be my friend. I want him to go away." Akai muttered to Akito.

Akito smiled and pet Akai's red-panda ears. 

"It will be okay Akai. If you want him to go away, I can help you Akai." he said with a smile.

Akai looked up at Akito.

"W-What do you mean?" she asked.

Akito smiled.

"I'll help you, just trust me." he said seriously.

Akai gave a slow nod.

"I'll trust you"

 

SPOILERS IN THE SPOILER:

 

 

Akito is not all that evil yet, however the only reason why his house is destroyed was because HE destroyed his house and killed BOTH of his parents. Only one of his parents were possessed. 

Akai is actually being taunted by Akito, which if T.K shows up, Akito will attack...maybe....I can't let you know.

 

 

The inside was huge and had almost anything that money could buy. April went into the kitchen to make some drinks. "Would you like something to drink or eat?" April asked with a smile.

T.K. couldn't help but feel sad as he saw Akai run out the door. He stood there just feeling at a lost. "What good are these powers if they are just going to destroy people's lives? I knew that darkness is not to be taken lightly, but it still hurts to stop it and ruin people's lives. My parents were killed because of the fact that someone with powers killed them, in front of my eyes. I could never forget that moment and all that pain." T.K. said to himself. He then walked out of the house and started to walk home.

"Tea would be nice..." He heard about it's calming effects. Time to test that theory. "But first... How do I change back?"

April laughed. "Hello, thinking of bad thoughts made you change into this. So use happy thoughts to change back." April said. "Now, how would you like your tea? Hot tea, green tea, ice tea, sweet tea, and so on?" April asked.

"Umm... " who knew there were so many teas? He first concentrated on the few happy thoughts he had. He mostly gave others happy things. He slowly reverted. He cried out in pain. "Hurts like hell no matter what..." His voice returned to its gruff state. "Surprise me tea, buy the way..."

April smiled as she just got some simple sweet tea with lemon for the both of them. "There we are. Sweet tea with lemon. The sweetest of all teas." April said with a smile.

"Thanks..." He drank the tea. It was sweet, but the tart hint of lemon he could do without. "So, what is your name again? I'm Trevor, by the way."

She smiled. "My name is April. I won't bore you with my life story though, kind of a downer." She said.

Ferro walked down the street at a brisk pace, his bag swinging at his side. Thank goodness my transformations encompassed small carried things, he thought. The landlord won't be getting this month's rent, either. That last bit made Ferro smile. The expression vanished as he looked back on what had happened. Danny had attacked him. He had obviously not been in his right mind. And Ferro had entered that strange, cold-blooded instinct that seemed to take him over every so often. No matter, it was done, and Ferro wasn't one to feel remorse for his actions. He just kept walking, feeling that somehow, something big was about to go down. He touched the blowgun in his pocket.

"You heard most of my story in transformation, I'm afraid..." He sighed. "Have you been doing this all your life? When did you first... You know..."

"Let me get your bag." Kai was always unnatural courteous when it came to Ayase. She held it closer to her with a smile.

 

"It's a surprise!"

 

Kai shrugged and walked towards the kitchen. "What do you want to drink?" He passed through the doorway into his kitchen and walked slowly toward the fridge... nothing too strange for the moment.

 

"Oh, I think I'll need some water." He heard her say from the other room. It was strange phrasing, to 'need some water'. He opened the fridge and got out a glass as well.

 

"So what's the surprise, Ayase?" he yelled out as he began to pour.

 

"I'm getting it ready right now, go back to getting a drink ready. Get one for yourself too. It won't be enough in any case." Okay now she was seriously being strange. Kai did as she asked in any case, it was a practical joke, maybe she brought some curry or something. That was it. That had to be it. Of course. He took his time pouring a different glass. Afterward he grabbed both and walked back towards the entry hall.

 

"You know Ayase, this better be a very cool surp-"

 

It was not curry. Ayase was holding a large gasoline container, and gas was spread all around the room, with trails leading to the bedroom, the bathroom. Everywhere but the kitchen. She dropped the gas container and didn't give it a second glance as the remaining gas spilled out onto the floor.

 

"Ayase, what the h-"

 

"You never answered my question." She was dead serious.

 

"What?" Kai was incredibly confused now. So confused he didn't see her take out the match.

 

"I asked you earlier; everything burns, right?" She dropped the match.

 

He didn't have time to think. He didn't have time to yell out to her. There was too much gas, too much fire within the first couple seconds. He saw the window to his left and went for it. He didn't think about Ayase in that moment. There was just no time left. Why had she done that? What could possibly make her do that? Revenge for Watanabe? No, she wouldn't have been connected, and even if so she would never have known. Kai slammed into the pavement. He looked up at his flaming apartment... Ayase. But Ayase didn't give him much time to worry. The next moment he saw her silhouette coming from the window, a knife in her hand. He didn't have time to roll away, only put his hands up to brace for her impact. The next moment he would end up regretting the rest of his life. He had been on the force for too long, he had trained himself to react coldly and quickly in these situation too long ago, he had built himself to have these reflexes. As Ayase smashed into him he grabbed her hands in an instant and redirected the knife. Two seconds later he realized he redirected it into his sister's torso.

 

"Kai..." she whispered as she fell to his left, unmoving.

 

"Ayase!"

 

An hour later Ayase was being driven away; confirmed dead, and Kai has a blanket around his shoulders. Such sentimental crap. He didn't need a blanket.

 

"Don't worry, you'll be fine." It was Hayade, Kai's previous partner, and someone who probably considered himself a close friend of Kai's; Kai disagreed. "We checked, and there are no indications of your fingerprints on the knife, not to mention we already have the witness report of the sale of gas from the shop down the road to your sister. I won't bother you with any formalities; we know your innocent. It may look a bit suspicious given your suspension but that was a formality anyhow."

 

Kai nodded.

 

The fire raged behind them, firefighters were still struggling to put it out. "We'll have your things that survive the fire collected and given to you in a few days." Hayade said.

 

Kai nodded.

 

"Kai... I... I don't know why this would have even... listen... I'm sorry."

 

Kai nodded.

 

Hayade stood up and began to walk towards his car wordlessly. Now it was Kai who stood and spoke.

 

"Find me all reports in the past few days, especially tonight, of reported murders, fires, or perceived possessions. I want the cases transferred to me immediately. Tonight if possible." Kai's every word was angry and cold. It felt like the wings of Archangel were tearing at his back, ready to come out.

 

"Kai I don't think-" Hayade barely had a moment to talk. "Tonight Hayade." Kai was already walking away.

 

Walking away from his sister he murdered. Walking away from his burnt home. Walking away from the police force he had pretended to care about. It was what he was walking toward that he cared about now though. Archangel wings were burning in his back.

 

 

Ayase had been right.

 

 

 

 

Everything burns.

Gen woke up. It was a brilliant night, wasn't it? he looked at all the girls and boys he could play with. But not right now... Right now, he had to savor this night!

April then suddenly turned sad. "Well, that would be right after my parents died. They were killed by a person with special powers. And after they died, me and my brother were so scared and so lost that we transformed and were found by a guardian and raised into what we are now." April said with a tear go down her cheek.

(Gee, MDS, are you running this RP? That was a well-constructed story post.)

 

Ferro saw a red glow light up the cloud cover several blocks away. Huh, interesting. Ferro made in that direction. He knew he shouldn't be involving himself in anything, but for some reason this night felt different. It felt dangerous. And the danger felt good. Ferro loosened his blowpipe.

"Oh... Sorry for bringing such a memory up..." He took another sip. "I hope I can help you guys... I can only imagine the burden."

April smiled. "I know you can help us. If I didn't, I wouldn't have saved you as much as I did. You truly are special." April said with a smile.

"Thanks..." He finished the drink. "Your brothers finding someone else, no?" He smiled. He could trust this girl. She saved him, he needed to pay her back... A fear came in."Can we ever be possessed like them?"

(Haha, nope, I'm just along for the ride like everyone else, though I figured I may as well put some work into Kai's intro before the main stuff began)

 

Cigarettes... those would be a good start. Kai had stopped smoking a year ago, but Hayade gave him a pack within a few minutes of arriving on scene, he at least knew enough about Kai to know he'd want some.  Hayade also gave him a spare handgun to carry with him for the remainder of the time until Kai could get a new one, but the cigarettes were what Kai needed right now. He needed a moment to think a bit more clearly- he needed to know who he was going to come after first, who he was going have to kill for what they'd done. He fumbled in his pocket for the pack, his hands had a bit of blood on them still... he thought he'd gotten it all off. He leaned against the wall of one of the building he happened to be walking by. His apartment was still slightly in view- red and smoldering.

 

Damn... no lighter. Or... matches for that matter. The thought of needing a flame wasn't a very pleasant thought in any possible way to Kai after what had only just transpired, but he was still in shock, and he wanted to smoke. That's when he saw the guy headed his way. The guys looked about his age- maybe a bit younger, and wore jeans and a dark-grey fleece.

 

"Hey, you." Kai tried to act as friendly as humanly possible as a person in his situation could. "Do you have a lighter or some matches?" He held out the pack of cigarettes. "I'd appreciate it. You can have one yourself too."

April smiled. "Well, T.K. should be here soon, probably empty handed. He is very loyal but can be sort of a hothead. And as for being possessed, I am afraid that even I don't know. But almost always if someone becomes possessed, they tend to die. That is what happened today with you. But, anyways, is there anything you would like to do? We have almost everything you can think of here. Bowling, go karting, sports, a movie theater, possibly every thing you can think of." April said with a smile.

(The person I had in mind was Natron's Ferro, but feel free to have Gen find them on the street as well)

Trevor thought for a sec "how? It's just a house...unless magic is real..." He sighed. Of course it is..."go-karts..."

Gen was strolling through the town when he saw a man, who looked a bit down . " what seems to ail you , friend!" He pulled ought a lighter .

April laughed. "This place doesn't have magic, this place has money and science, hidden science." April said. She then pressed a button on the wall and the room transformed into a real life go kart track. April then went over and got in a kart. "Well , then get in the kart and let's do this." April said with a smile.

"Alright!" He got in. The ride was elaborate. He smiled. Aya would love this. She would want him to be happy...

In the middle of waiting for a response from the guy who had been walking towards him, another had approached Kai, with a lighter. He quickly snatched the lighter and lit his first cigarette in years. He puffed slowly as he answered the man's question.

 

"Unless you happen to know about any possessions or murders as of late, friend, then it's not something worth going into..."

 

He puffed again and then looked over at Ferro. "Oh, and you, where'd you get the blowpipe?" Kai had no idea who in this city would know what, but maybe there was a chance that coincidence was on his side tonight.
