FINAL FANTASY VI will finally be released on iOS on February 6. This'll mean you'll be able to play it on your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod Touch.
The bugs recently fixed in the Android version will of course not be present in this version.
What's next? Square Enix have said releasing FINAL FANTASY VII on smartphones/tablets won't likely happen for a couple more years due to how large the file would be. The logical thing would be to finish releasing them on Windows Phone. FINAL FANTASY and FINAL FANTASY III are available on Windows Phone, so I'd expect FINAL FANTASY II, IV, IV: The After Years, V and VI to be released on Windows Phone in the next year or so.
A PC release of FINAL FANTASY IX along with HD remasters of FINAL FANTASY XII, Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus will hopefully be announced this year.
