Hello again, Sonic fans, Firaga The Hedgehog here, again again... again...
So, earlier today, I posted a thread about breaking down the trailer for the upcoming Sonic Boom video game. Well now I'm going to do the same for the Sonic Boom cartoon coming to Cartoon Network, and yes, the game and cartoon are connected; the game will serve as a prequel to what happens in the cartoon, or so I've heard.
Anywhoozle, let's look at the trailer again, again, in case any of you haven't already, again.
Now, lets get started, again:
Things to note: 1) Animation wise, this series looks just as good, if not even better than the graphics for the video game. No complaints so ever. Also, the audio and stereo seem to be up to snuff as well. Sonic sounds like Sonic, Eggman sounds like Eggman, Tails sounds like Tails, music times well with what's going on, everybody acts the way they're supposed to, blah blah blah... I think I expanded upon this thing too much. lol 2) Humor-wise, which is always important in Sonic, seems like your typical Sonic-esque comedy. Sonic and Eggman even have some funny lines to trade back and forth here, and it's very so much what'd you expect from these two. There's also some gags here and there, and Tails being Tails. (That broken handle tho.) 3) One last thing to really note, and that's the whole debacle on "Sonic has blue arms" thing... yes, if you don't know, that's one of the main complaints for this trailer. People are complaining... b/c Sonic has blue arms. I understand this is the Sonic fanbase and that Sonic has always had bare arms without any trace of blue fur... but do we really have to stoop to this level. Actually, yes, we do, b/c it's the Sonic fanbase. I'm starting to regret making this as a point as I believe I already stated my point before... on this point... again.
Alright, enough nonsense. lol Overall, the series, like the game, has potential to be good. It's Sonic, we love Sonic, and its got Sonic written all over it. I really don't see any faults with aside from it being only a trailer, and really, the blue arms thing... I'd rather not bring that up again. On a side note, Cartoon Network has another cartoon to their modern roster that's actually GOOD, so there's that. (that makes five, now, five good cartoons that CN has to its name: Adventure Time, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, and now Sonic Boom. Good job, CN, you're taking baby steps to being great again. Now please for the love of God, get rid of Uncle Grandpa. Please.)
