Posted February 14, 201412 yr for instance sonic 4 or half life 2. me personaly, i hate it. i think instead of episodes, there should just be more than 1 game. like sonic 4, then sonic 5. or half life 2, then half life 3.
February 14, 201412 yr They're kind of annoying, but for minor things, they don't bother me. Half Life 2's episodes were meant to explain what goes on between HL2 and HL3, if I'm not mistaken. HL3's going to be a lot bigger than the episodes were.
February 14, 201412 yr The only episodic game I've played is Sonic 4 and the idea is not terrible,but in Sonic 4 case,it was pooly executed.You should be able to lock on the Episode 1 to Episode 2 to go though all the stages of both episodes in a single playthough(like Sonic 3 & Knuckles and that was in 1994).And it shouldn't take THAT long to release a new episode,they should have release at least 2 episodes per year.And they should at least release 3 episodes otherwise there's no point making it into an episodic game.
