{Disney Castle, exterior}

Even, Somebody of Vexen, moved to follow Severa to engage ENCOM Programs, but yelled out in pain as something hit him from behind. He fell forward, a dart sticking out of his back. More programs crowded around, trying to hem Severa in. A red dot appeared on Severa's chest.

"Drop your weapon and surrender." A voice yelled out from the same direction the laser beam. "Or die here and now. Your choice."

More laser beams aimed at Severa.

{Disney Castle, interior}

Master Aqua took her old Keyblade from Luna. She took in a deep breath and smiled.

"It is good to have this back, thank you." She said, closing her eyes for a moment.

She reopened her eyes and nodded to Luna.

"We had better arrange a way to get wounded in here for us to heal. Maybe a few of the Guardians could-"

"Dilan to all available forces." The former Xaldin said via a wall mounted radio. "Evacuate! Repeat, evacuate! Four more capital ships warping in!"

Aqua gave the wall radio a shocked look.

"What is this?" She hissed and made for the door.

Before she got to it, it exploded inward with Dilan flying backwards and landing in a heap in the infirmary. From the out of the dust and debries, a man in a suit shot in and wrapped an arm around the stunned Aqua's neck, putting a blade to her neck. Four more people in suits came in and pointed various weapons at the Guardians.

"Don't try anything, Keybladers." The one who had Aqua growled. "We of the Ulthor know how to beat your cursed weapons."

In the ensuing silence, there was a metallic ping. The Ulthor agent in the back flipped a coin and caught it. A tallish man with short cut blond hair, goatee and with a number of ear piercings, he noted what it had landed on and put it away. A playing card appeared in his hand and he threw it at the agent holding Aqua captive. As soon as the card hit, the man holding Aqua turned into a card.

{Twilight Town, Old Mansion}

Elenar, formerly Larxene, managed to dodge out of the way of the energy blasts coming in from the digital battle cruise in the sky. Most of the young Keyblade wielders gathered at the old mansion were not so lucky and were thrown by the blast and killed. One lucky Wielder was snatched by Zion and Xion before the duo with their new patient disappeared in a flash of Light. As the smoke cleared, Aeleus (Somebody of Lexaeus) groaned and tried to get up.

Elenar readied herself to added some lightning to Celas's Duel Ragnoraks against the ship, but saw a red dot on the back of Celas's back.

"Look out!" She yelled and jumped in between Celas and where the beam was coming from, erecting a Barrier in the blink of an eye. There was a loud bang and Elenar was thrown back, hitting Celas. The Savage Nymph crumpled to the ground, blood trickling out of the corner of her mouth. For a moment before it faded, there was a neat little hole in Elenar's barrier.

Above, the capital ship rearmed its weapons for kill shots, but was hit by a beam from one of the mansion's 2nd story windows. The ship crackled with energy as its guns started moving erratically.

"Get inside!" Ansem the Wise yelled from the 2nd story window as he tossed out a smoking device he had just coupled together. "It will be back online in seconds!"

Over the the city proper, more capital ships warped in over hand and started landing Program troops, causing panic and confusion from the general populace.

{The Castle That Never Was}

Old Master Xehanort looked over his Organization with pride. He was beginning the final stages of his plan. The puny Lights would not be able to rest dancing to his tune.

"Friends" he called out in his cracked voice. "Soon, all our work will come to fruition, and Kingdom Hearts will be-"

The old man's speech was cut short as a massive explosion shook the castle, tossing some of the 13 Darknesses out of their seats.

"What was that?" Master Xehanort demanded as he pulled himself back into his normal sitting position.

Xigbar teleported back to his chair after he left to see what was going on.

"It's ENCOM ships opening fire on the castle." The one eyed sharpshooter reported. "I thought you said they couldn't come into our world."

Master Xehanort's face hardened.

"My Darknesses, prepare to defend the Castle." He ordered.

{Traverse Town}

Three figures in dark suits stood on top of the Gizmo Shop in Traverse Town, crowding around a small computer they had set up.

"Are you sure the Doctor said this would work?" A tall blond woman with a beauty spot below her left eye asked.

A man with a stubble and glasses rolled his eyes.

"Yes, Helga." He answered. "I was paying attention when the mad genius gave us this."

The color ran out of the man's face as he caught sight of the glare the blond woman was giving him.

"Um, Commander Sinclair." He corrected himself.

Helga Sinclair snorted her contempt and jerked a thumb at the computer.

"Then fire up our remote control monsters and sweep the city for Keyblade Wielders." She ordered." But make sure they keep civilian casualties to a minimum."

The man with glasses nodded and saluted, a poor think to do together, and typed in commands into the computer. When the last key stroke went through, the Gizmo Shop's front door burst open and Heartless Neoshadows with some sort of control collars on them bounded out, there keen senses looking for the strong hearts that Keyblade Wielders had.

{Radiant Garden}

Ienzo, Zexion's true self, finished transferring files and assembling various pieces of equipment he wanted before returning to the Old Mansion in Twilight Town when he heard a loud boom and some commotion outside the castle. Dashing outside, the Cloaked Schemer stopped suddenly when he saw three capital ships hanging over Radiant Garden. To his trained eye, he recognized the pattern of the digital ship.

"How did they get programs out of the computer?" He thought.

Ienzo heard a light laugh from behind him.

"Magnificent, isn't it?" A female voice asked. "Once we found out how to transfer Clu and his troops into our world, we could finally realize your plan. And how beautifully it is working, too."

The Cloaked Schemer turned to face the uniformed woman with glasses, a sly smile on his lips.

"My dear Jihl, did you doubt me?" He asked in a mock hurt tone.

Jihl Nabaat laughed again and stepped forward to place a hand on Ienzo's shoulder.

"The Decolor is grateful for your contribution." She said.

Ienzo's smiled remained, but took on a satisfied look. It was all working like he planned.

{Enchanted Dominion}

Maleificent stormed through her old castle. She felt degraded having to come back here, but a better hide out had not been available. Plus, the Decolor wouldn't try to bother her here on her own world.

She swiped into an inner room she had given over to one of her new allies and found him tending to his patient. King Candy squirmed under his physician's care.

"Easy, my code is sensitive, ya know." He whined.

"Silence!" Maleficent thundered. "It was your own foolishness that lead to your damage. I told you to avoid the heroes."

King Candy fell silent, too scared of the Witch to say anything. The middle aged doctor chuckled slightly as he straightened up and adjusted his glasses.

"Do not worry, m'lady." Doctor Cidolfus Demen Bunansa said in a calming voice. "This digital monarch will make a full recovery with some improvements."

Candy made to say something, but was glared into silence by the Witch. Maleficent looked back to Dr. Cid.

"And the other project?" She demanded.

Dr Cid's amused smile was replaced by a look of almost religious zeal.

"Ah, yes. I believe I have made the break through we required." He answered.

This time, it was Maleficent's turn to smile.

"Show me."

The Archadian scientist bowed and lead the way out of the room.

"The power requirements were astronomical." He explained as he led the way down a corridor. "I had to practically burn out a star to generate the power necessary and a fool would have let that power to burn out the project's systems before fruition,"

The Doctor paused as he placed a hand on a door's handle.

"But I am no fool." He declared and dramatically opened the door.

Inside was a room full of equipment, but was dominated by a giant transparent tube filled with a liquid. Floating inside was a girl off about 14 years of age and multicolored hair. Tubes extended from the top of the tube and into her veins while a breath mask rested over the girl's mouth. A plaque was placed at the base of the tube bearing the inscription "Project Lacuna."

"Our Void Witch is nearly finished." Maleficent said, dark intentions in her eyes.

(*Whew* did you see that, cause I will not be doing that again.)

Severa nodded, and had a slight grin. "Okay then. I kinda got that feeling from Jihl as well. But how can we figure things out without drawing attention to ourselves?" Severa pondered. "I mean we could always access the database from the computers on board. Yeah, actually, would that work?" Severa said, surprised for a second that she thought of something that might work out for them.

[Decolor Ship: Within the access vents]

"The direct approach might be the simplist, but it usually leaves you simply dead." the pink haired assassin remarked while both he and Nocturne were crouched near a vent. <Wow, rude.> The voice in his head snidely remarked, <Next time that emo guy suggests a traveling companion, ignore him,please.> There were no signs that point to the supposed hanger section beyond the vent they were near, so the captive guardian concluded that this was the vent. "Is it the Keyblade that prevents you people from thinking in complex plans?"

"In a manner of speaking, yes," Nocturne coldly replied, no sarcasm in his voice whatsoever. "thanks in part to the Keyblade Code of Conduct I have to abide by."

"Now, if we were to make for the top of the ship, we should be able to find a hatch and jump to the ground from there."

<Booooring. I mean, if you're a wimp, sure it sounds...okay. But come on! A battle in the hanger would be super epic.>

Guardians can't be wimps. Our duties only ask for the best. Battling is a last resort measure when all other options are exhausted but... It would be... cool?

Nocturne sighed quietly before disclosing his thought processing. "Considering how this is a really big ship, something of this size that floats in the air must have a defensive network of some sort. Assuming they have the most basic turret for defense against airborne targets, that would mean that we would be going against a warship grade cannon at the very least at the best possible scenario. So long as it shoots near us, we'll receive moderate to severe injuries. However, considering the targets it is supposed to fight against, this turret may also have predictive trajectory technology, meaning it will hit me dead-on no matter how I move. The least severe wound considering that kind of firepower would be a severed arm."

He looked at Luminara. "Unless you've been up there yourself and there are no active defensive countermeasures, then I'll have to worry about their radar array picking me up on the hull and gummi ships shooting at me. It will still be ship grade armaments versus personnel weapons, and that scenario will be marginally more survivable than the first scenario." He peeked through the vent to assess what was on the other side.

[Twilight Town. Main Street]

"We'd love to join you guys. Working together will surely speed things along." the guard heard Rydia say. The two were unsure how someone like Master Aqua could trust some stranger right off the bat, but but at least they trusted her judgement for now. "Wonderful," Sparrow nodded, "Now, what about that guy over there?" He pointed at Rinzler, wondering what their next course of action would be.

[Twilight Town. Beachhead]

"I work with the Decolor." the prisoner softly replied.

"Well, at least they have a name." Raven remarked, still staring at the looming ship. None of the Guards have ever heard of that name, which was disturbing for all of them, especially for Ghost. Whatever happened to the intelligence division?

The prisoner continued. "A group of concerned people who think you Keybladers have been running around, messing with the world's for too long. We know it was Wielders of that weapon that destroyed the world as it was long ago. We're not going to wait around for you to do it again."

Shockingly, Raven, Hawk and Ghost stared at the prisoner completely dumbfounded as the new information registered in their heads. So that's why. We're so concerned about threats to the Princesses that we never bothered searching for threats against... us...

"Since I don't know much about you, I can't say much about your son, as I have no idea who that is." the prisoner continued. Raven nodded in agreement behind the prisoner so only Hawk could see; his silent way of saying the prisoner has a point. The story checked out, which only made Hawk even more mad. Fortunately for him, the rifleman kept his cool. "Ok then," he calmly replied, "so a bunch of concerned people gathered this kind of firepower to go against people like us. I didn't think we would warrant such a force." He looked up at the warship above, then back down at the prisoner. "I suppose that this Decolor would love the idea of eliminating keyblade wielders. I like living, so this is gonna be a problem. Now, another question: Who is commanding this organization, and where can I find this person? And on that note; that's a nice ship you got up there. How would I go about owning such a thing?"

"You're insane if you're really thinking that." Raven replied back, awed at the thought of flying one of those things. "There must be at least a battalion and several wings on that ship. It would be s-"

"Like our average Tuesday." Hawk interjected. Ghost kept quiet, letting Raven attempt to bash some logic in Hawk's head.

{Twilight Town: Train Station}

Lacuna turned her head towards the others and opened her eyes. She still had eyes, but their coloring was mixed up. Her pupils were blue, her irises were white and the rest of the eye was black.

"I'm not really sure how I feel as I'm pretty sure this is the first thing I've really felt." she replied. "Well...there was pain and anger before, but the one like me told me not to dwell on it."

"The one like you?" Leah asked, feeling flabbergasted.

"She...spoke to you through my body as she taught me." Lacuna answered, looking a little unsure.

Sitting up, the young witch looked around the room. She knew the names for things and what they were, but she didn't feel any connection to anything.

"If it's on the computer, it would work." Ienzo replied. "And worth a look."

He stopped briefly as he mentally routed himself to a server room.

"This way." he said, then headed off again.

He took Severa and himself down a few more corridors before reaching a guarded room. The Programs stood to attention.

"Good work, boys." The Cloaked Schemer said, smiling as he stepped into the room.

He immediately took a seat at a computer console and started typing.

"So, any wagers on what they're hiding?" he asked once the doors had closed the guards out.

{Twilight Town: Main Street}

Aqua smiled at Rydia and Edge.

"Good to hear it." She said.

Looking down at Rinzler as Sparrow pointed at him, Aqua considered what should be done with the new prisoner.

"We can take them back to Zion's house and try to interrogate him too." she said, but she wasn't confident.

She wasn't use to the idea of prisoners and interrogation. But there was a lot of new things that she had to get use to.

{Disney Castle: Decolor Ship; Vents}

<Whoa, look who knows so much.> the voice commented. <I'm almost tempted to call you a nerd.>

Lumiara gave Nocturne a sharp look.

"Well, if you know so much about ships like this, how do you suggest we get off?" he snapped.

{Twilight Town: Beach}

"The Decolor's leading Council doesn't believe in 'overkill'." The agent commented. "Plus, light wielders like you aren't our only target."

After that, he didn't respond to Hawk's question. His previous words were a warning. Knowing who was behind it all wasn't necessary.

"Flying purple people eaters." Severa said with a slight grin as she leaned over the computer screen. She watched as Ienzo's fingers flew over the keyboard. She doubted they actually had something of that sort, likely something much less effective. Severa thought over all of this. The Decolor, the Vanguard, the Guardians of Light. All of this was over her head. She was just an ordinary girl, thrown from her life into this. She smiled a little bit. But being ordinary had never really suited her.

~~~
Rydia nodded. "Sounds good to me." She waved her hand, and the unconscious body of Rinzler began to float a little bit above the ground. She gestured again. "Guide me." She said dramatically. Edge fake-coughed.
"Show-off." Rydia smiled a little bit and hit him playfully.
"Oh, well...it will take time to fully understand things." Celas said.Noctis once again focused his eyes on the Witch and crossed his arms."It would seems that the way you were awakened left you disoriented or feeling somewhat detached from the things around you."Celas turned her head and coughed against her sleeve, she still could taste the blood from before, but at least there was no pain this time."In any case," she said. "we're here to help you. If you need something don't hesitate to tell us."
Mysanca stood at the edge of the cliff the wind blowing his auburn hair he calmly muttered to himself. "Another war is starting, hopefully my end will be met in this one." He wished for nothing more then to die, it was his one wish. Though he was a formidable opponent he could never find someone who could deliver the final blow. He punched the ground and yelled. "Why can't I just go easy on someone, Argh." He summoned his keyblade and threw it into the valley below but he knew he couldn't get rid of the keyblade's power unless death do his soul apart from it.
[Decolor Ship: Supposedly in the maintenance access near the hanger bay]
<Whoa, look who knows so much. I'm almost tempted to call you a nerd.>
Nocturne's only visible right eye twitched slightly as he heard the voice in his head once again. Having never used the word 'nerd' before, the stoic guardian froze for a moment as he tried to remember the definition of the word. Drawing a blank, the guardian shook off the thought for now as Luminara once again asked, "Well, if you know so much about ships like this, how do you suggest we get off?"
Nocturne stayed quiet for a moment, then quietly replied, "I decided that the best course of action would be to try hijacking a ship. If my memory is correct on the size of this ship, something this big should have escort fighters. I figured that I can use that kind of firepower if I manage to escape. But, if you believe that your method is better, then you lead the way." He was unsure of the last statement, thanks to a voice in his head goading him into taking the former option, but at least he mentioned the offer.
Speaking of escape, it was now that the Guardian peeked through a grate within the maintenance access to see what was on the other side, hoping that he was nearing the hanger and not venturing deeper into the ship. The fella must be getting uncomfortable in this confined space. I don't blame him, but there is a price to pay for stealth after all...
[Meanwhile... on the Main Street of Twilight Town]
"Good to hear it." the old guards heard Aqua remarked towards Rydia and Edge.
"Sounds good to me. Guide me." The girl replied back.
"We can take them back to Zion's house and try to interrogate him too." They heard Aqua suggest. Sparrow looked at the master in shock and saw a glint of disturbance in her eyes. The squad leader sighed; He had hoped that his squad and his own actions would have been enough to prevent corrupting the master. I regret telling Hawk to interrogate that prisoner right in front of her. Why must I forget this important information that Warriors and Guardians operate on different mindsets?
"Oi, Sparrow," Kiwi's voice interjected, "Orders?"
"Before we interrogate him, call the others and ask what they managed to learn from the other prisoner."
"Ten four, sir."
Seeing Rydia casting a little magic to carry the unconscious Rinzler, Sparrow nodded quietly in approval. "Lets head back to the beachfront then," Sparrow commanded of both Kiwi and Luna, who was quietly watching the whole time. At the same time, Kiwi was on his wrist mounted tactical pad, hailing his friends...
[in the Beachfront section of Twilight Town...]
"The Decolor's leading Council doesn't believe in 'overkill'." The captive agent replied in response to Hawk's questioning, "Plus, light wielders like you aren't our only target."
The rifleman was surprised at the new bit of info, but didn't show it. Thankfully for the prisoner, both Hawk and Raven's tactical pads beeped three times as the handy instrument warned of an incoming call from their other members. "Kiwi to Hawk," the scout's electronic voice cackled, "how's your friendly chat with the prisoner going?"
Still keeping a firm grip on the prisoner with his left hand, Hawk reached for the lapel of his coat with his free right hand. "We're breaking the ice."
"Any useful information?"
"Affirmative. This new threat identifies itself as the Decolor."
"Sounds bland. Like... A name for certain shade of 'bleh' gray."
"He also states that they're a group of concerned people who dislike us keyblade wielders and decided to do something about it."
"Any specifics on what that means?"
"Negative, but I'll ask. Also claims that keybladers are not their only target. I'm trying to find out the leader of this organization. I'm about to go all Section Three-"
It was at this point that Sparrow's voice interjected through the comms. "Now hold on a second. What did he identify his organization as?"
"A group of concerned people."
A moment of silence from the radio. "Hawk, do not pull a Section Three-Six. This organization has tried to take us in alive. They might be reasonable. Default to actions in Three-Zero."
Underneath the calm looking face, Hawk was furious. Why would he classify these bastards as citizens? Citizens don't have warships ready to wipe us out of existence and take hostages with their weapons drawn. "Fine." He growled. "Anything else?"
"We managed to knock out another one of them. We're heading back to you."
"Whatever. Out."
Hawk sighed in defeat as his angry temper showed when he glared back at the prisoner. Fortunately for him, Ghost decided to step in. "Ok, you said that you know it was Wielders of the weapon that we happen to possess that destroyed the world as it was long ago, and you said that your organization is 'not going to wait around for us to do it again,' supposedly. You are implying that your organization does take actions against people like us. Would you care to be a little more specific on what these actions are? And on that note, what else does your organization target?"
"Now I have a question." Raven finally piped up. "Its been bugging me for a while but, you call your organization the Decolor and we saw your ships above the castle. But when we faced you guys in the castle, one of your members called themselves the 'Ulthor. So, what are you guys really?"
{Disney Castle: Decolor Ship; Server Room}
"Seems a little frivolous, but worth a guess." Ienzo joked as he continued typing.
For half a minute, he said nothing as he worked on the computer.
"So, do you think that these computers contain their own digital worlds?" He asked suddenly, his inner scientist voicing what he was wondering. "I mean, the ENCOM systems were suppose to be part of another physical world as computers. So, that could mean that every computer system contains its own digital universe. But, if those universes have their own sub-universes, then we are only scratching the surface of trying to under stand out own universe. What if we are not the top layer, but several layers-"
The Cloaked Schemer fell silent as he leaned forward and squinted at the screen.
"Clu sent orders to build a special base for a project 'Lock.'" He read aloud. "An order for something big has to have two council members to agree to. Where is- Ah, here we are. Miss Nabaat seconded the order. It was quickly classified and buried under other things. It looks like those two are up to something they don't want the others to know about."
{Twilight Town: Main Street}
Aqua noticed something odd about Sparrow's reaction to her order. Was she doing this wrong?
"Thank you, Rydia." She said, managing a tight smile.
She thought a moment, then looked to Luna.
"Luna, if you could lead the way, I need a private word with Sparrow."
{Twilight Town: Train Station}
The young Lacuna actually chuckled.
"'Detached.'" She echoed. "I suppose that is one way to put it."
Use the wall, she pulled herself up, though her legs nearly buckled under her when she got her full weight on them. Leah ran forward, putting an arm around Lacuna to steady her. The Witch gave her an odd look.
"Um, thanks." She said, then looked around at Celas and Noctis. "To...all of you, I guess."
{Radiant Garden: Dark Depths}
As Mysanca looked out from his vantage point, ENCOM Recognizers crested the cliffs behind behind him, swooping down into the valley. As the air vehicles passed the Wielder, a group of four Programs with drop pack jumped out and glided to the ground behind Mysanca. They immediately took up battle positions when they touched the ground.
"You have not been catalogued." One said in a modulated voice. "Surrender and be escorted to a processing center, or face immediate deresolution."
Two of the Programs advanced on Mysanca, pulling electro sticks out. As they both reached out to take Mysanca, a spinning disk of blades and flames arched in from nowhere and derezzed one of the advancing soldiers. The distinctive chakram remained stuck in the ground for a moment before it seemed to disintegrate into ash.
"Trust me, kid." Said a red haired man in a black, zipped up coat with a hood. "Neither option is a smart move."
He resummoned the chakram to his left hand while his right hand grasped the forming handle of a keyblade. The handle and handguard looked like his chakram, but it had a blade that looked like flames.
"Got it memorized?" Lea asked with a smirk.
The Ulthor Agent seemed to wait patiently as the Guardians had a call. He twitched a little when he heard that another person had been captured, but gave nothing else away. He remained impassive when Ghost started up the questioning again.
"This war is the first and final step." The agent said simply. "We intend to make sure all Keybladers are somewhere they can't hurt people. For those that come peacefully, you will be incarcerated, but kept in safety and reasonable comfort. We are dedicated to keep the worlds safe. Anything that threatens that peace is a enemy of the Decolor."
He went silent for a moment as he considered how to answer Raven's question.
"The Ulthor are a branch of the Decolor." He finally answered, but didn't elaborate further.
Mysanca looked at Lea. "I've heard about you, you're that assassin slash hero everyone has been talking about but as an old friend once said, 'During battle one's true nature is revealed.' He summoned his keyblade. "Come at me!" Mysanca knew he was no match but then again he expected the man to go easy. "Let's see if your all what your fans and opponents say!" Mysanca took a defensive ready stance and waited to see how his opponent would strike. "You don't seem so strong." The wind picked up and blew Mysanca's auburn hair off his face as he patiently waited to be attacked. He knew just taunting even if it makes no sense is gonna win him this he'll need to go all out.
Celas nodded and smiled at the Witch."Don't worry. That's what friends are for."Noctis shrugged and pointed at Celas."What she said."The Dark Warrior punched the Prince on his shoulder and pointed at him."Careful, Nocto~ Don't make me hurt you before our enemies do."Noctis rolled his eyes and flicked Celas' forehead."Whatever you say." He said flatly. "I wonder if our friend as gotten any info from that annoying cyberbug."
"Well, that was obvious from the start." Severa said. "The question is, can you dig any deeper? A project under the name of lock doesn't sound good by any means at all." Severa continued, still hunched over the screen, reading over Ienzo's shoulder. Ienzo's little rant about universes was interesting, but definitely over her head. A fighter she was, an intellectual not so much.
Rydia gestured towards Luna. "Please, lead the way. I'd be glad to follow." The Summoner said with a smile. The Ninja glanced around cautiously, as if uneasy.
"You guys can go on ahead. Something around here feels... off." Without another word, Edge pulled out a smoke pill and chucked it at the ground. A small cloud of smoke surrounded him, and after the smoke dissipated, Edge had disappeared. Rydia shook her head and sighed.
"Don't mind him, he does that sometimes. Thinks it makes him look cooler or something." She said with an affectionate grin.
Neena sat calmly in her office, eyes closed, focused upon what she was trying to do. Track the intruder. But it wasn't working! Something was blocking her! A junior agent scurried into her office, and called her name. Neena opened her eyes and glared at him. He quickly cowered. "What do you need?"
"Uh... Miss Mors, we uh..."
"Spit it out!"
"Resistance was met on Radiant Garden!" Neena shook her head.
"Well, destroy it!"
"But uh, the resistance comes from a guardian of light." One of the guardians? Now Neena was interested.
"Dismissed!" She said to the agent, who quickly left the room. What a delicate situation. Should she deal with it herself? Ooh, that would be most thrilling. But she mustn't leave the matters of the escaped prisoner unresolved. Or could Locke deal with it? Neena quickly dialed Locke up. "Hey, Locke. I hear there is a guardian on Radiant Garden. I want to deal with it myself, but if you'd rather, I can stay here and just send somebody else. Severa maybe. What do you think the best plan of action is?"
Lea gave Mysanca an odd look, but with a hint of amusement.
"Well, I suppose I'm game, but you still have other obligations." He called out.
The two remaining Programs took a moment to decide on a proper reaction, but when they did, they moved as one. The first drew an electro baton and lunged at Mysanca while the other threw a identity disc at Lea. The Furry of Dancing Flames deflected the disc with his Keyblade while throwing his chakram back at the program.
Lacuna watched Noctis and Celas interact with a puzzled look. The concept of friend was fuzzy to her. It looked silly.
Leah adjusted her grip to get more comfortable supporting the Young Witch's weight.
"They seem odd, but they're alright." She said brightly, sensing Lacuna's puzzlement.
The Witch grunted. Rolud, who had been watching, chuckled.
"You might want to give Xal-, I mean, Dilan a little more time." He suggested, idly playing with a pair of dice. "He doesn't like to be disturbed when interviewing someone."
"I'll see." Ienzo replied to Severa, typing madly on the computer.
After a moment, he stopped, then shook his head.
"No." He said finally. "What ever the project is, they've kept further details of it off the systems. Which could mean Jihl and Clu are hiding something big from the others."
The Cloaked Schemer smiled.
"Maybe Miss Mors would be interested in this."
Locke stood by a wall terminal, watching reports from search parties come in when Neena called.
"I should be able to recapture our fugitive." He replied. "If this Light managed to get away from our forces, he might warrant special attention. Unless you have another reason to stay here, I would suggest you looking into this yourself."
Aqua noticed something odd about Sparrow's reaction to her order. Was she doing this wrong?
"Fine, if you're so sure. Let's just be done with it." Luminara reluctantly agreed.
For reasons unknown, despite having his restraining lens on, Nocturne couldn't help but feel a little nervous after hearing the assassin's remark. Maybe he was trying to tell me something? If he really wants to escape via the exterior hull, then that must mean he's pretty sure the area is unsecured. Maybe I'm overestimating the combat preparedness of this new threat.
<Oh, this is going to be fun. Okay, take a turn just up here and then take the...left path at the fork. That should get us to the hanger.>
Without even questioning the sudden shift in mental thinking, Nocturne followed the suggestion as he started crawling in the new directions. "If you're willing to follow, Luminara, I think the hanger is this way." The captive Guardian could only hope that his thoughts were correct as he slowly and quietly made his way through the access, and as he rounded another corner, he was greeted with the sight of...
[Twilight Town, Main Street]
With Aqua, Luna, and now Rydia and Edge making their way back to the beachfront, both Kiwi and Sparrow assumed a tactical formation near the group as they stayed slightly ahead and near the flanks. Both of the old guards were no stranger to surprises, and wanted to make darn sure that no one can get the jump on the master without breaking their invisible sentry 'buffer zone' first. As Sparrow glanced over to their scout, he was quick to notice Kiwi's ears twitching ever so slightly as the diligent guard listened in to the surroundings, and the group conversation.
"Thank you, Rydia." he heard Aqua say, before continuing, "Luna, if you could lead the way, I need a private word with Sparrow."
The two guards looked at one another; Kiwi giving his classic you're so screwed! grin as he nodded towards the master. Sparrow nodded quietly and slowed his pace as Luna walked up. "You heard her, right sir?" the timid girl quietly asked.
"Affirmative, Five," he smiled, "take over my duties of sentry, if you will."
"I will, sir."
"Please, lead the way. I'd be glad to follow." she heard Rydia politely inform. Luna smiled wholeheartedly; it was the first time that she was given a leadership role. At the same time, Edge decided to disappear from everyone's view, putting Kiwi and Luna on... er... edge.
"Don't mind him," Rydia reassured the guards, "he does that sometimes. Thinks it makes him look cooler or something."
"Not gonna lie, it kinda does." Kiwi finally piped up.
With Luna taking over, Sparrow kept his slow walk until he was next to the master. "You wanted to speak with me, Master Aqua?"
[Twilight Town, beachfront]
"This war is the first and final step." the captive agent remarked, once again shocking everyone around him. "Woah wait. War?!" Raven exclaimed, “For crying out loud, not all keyblade wielders are bad ya know! Why are we under the gun?!”
The agent continued. "We intend to make sure all Keybladers are somewhere they can't hurt people. For those that come peacefully, you will be incarcerated, but kept in safety and reasonable comfort. We are dedicated to keep the worlds safe. Anything that threatens that peace is a enemy of the Decolor."
Hawk chuckled a little. “Not bad for an answer.” The next instant, Hawk whirled around and kicked the agent solidly behind the kneecaps, forcing the agent onto his knees. “But not specific enough. We’ll ask again: What do you do to keyblade wielders once you capture them, presumably alive?”
Thanks to the horrible timing of Hawk’s actions, Raven started giggling as the agent’s response finally hit home, persuading Ghost that she was in the midst of two sociopaths. “I’m sorry, this is not the right time for this, but If you wanted to do our jobs of safeguarding the worlds, why didn’t you ask the king? I’m sure he would welcome the reinforcements with open arms. I’m sure we could work hand in hand rather than needing a messy overthrow of the current safeguarders.” Now understanding the premise for the odd snicker, Ghost giggled; it was a momentary lapse of discipline on their part, but the irony of the comment was a little bit much for the Guards. The medic continued, “We may have overreacted, but mind you, the situation your organization forced on us back at the castle didn’t look so friendly.”
Ghost was quietly going through a mental checklist of answers gained for this whole spectacle. Organization name, intended purpose, hostility towards keybladers confirmed, confirmation of sub-sections, engagement rules verified… what else are we missing? Enemy strength, chain of command, unit types, unit positions, we’re working on treatment of captured enemies… I think that’s it. Nothing else we can do. All we have to worry about now is… Subduing the threat. Oh dear...
Kyle Richards ducked his head as he walked through the hole in the wall, leaving the forest of Twilight Town.  "Why would they ask me to meet them at the mansion and then not even show up." he said to himself.  "Seems very fishy."  As he entered the Train Plaza, he looked around.  "That's odd, there doesn't seem to be anyone here.  I thought this was supposed to be a busy plaza."
"That's for the best." Celas said. "I'm not much of a fan for interrogations."Noctis remained silent for a moment before he shrugged."It should give us the info we need to find and destroy our enemies. Better them than us."Celas looked away for a moment, in all her time as a Wielder she never thought about someone, or anyone, taking action against Keyblade Wielders."Those guys must really hate the Keyblade and its chosen wielders. Never in my life I would have dreamed to be part of something like this."The Dark warrior began pacing around with her arms crossed, Noctis' eyes following her every movement."How foolish. The Keyblade is a will that is passed down from those before us."Celas said as she took a quick look at the Young Witch, the Dark Warrior knew that the legendary weapon was a will that was passed down from Master to Apprentice, but not everyone was willing to follow it, she knew because she unleashed a, probably, manipulative and destructive Wielder into another dimension. An unforeseen Successor in the form of a Void Witch named Lacuna."The Keyblade will keep on living while there is a will to give it a purpose."Celas finally stopped pacing around. Noctis used the moment to lock eyes with her."Where there's a will, there's a way." He said calmly. "That weapon of yours is interesting."Celas quickly looked away when she realized she was staring at Noctis."They are picky, but very useful. Of course, not everyone think like that." She answered.
"Oh I know she will." Severa smiled towards Ienzo. She leaned over Ienzo, ejecting a small drive from underneath her bracer. This new armor had plenty of gadgets, ad most of them would certainly prove helpful. She plugged it into the computer, and tapped a few keys, copying the files onto the drive. She did her best to try and cover her and Ienzo's tracks, but she wasn't sure how good of a job she had done. Finishing the download, the Wanderer pulled the drive from the computer and smiled at Ienzo. "I'll take this to her. You just... try not to get into too much trouble while I'm gone. Can't let you have all the fun."  Severa said, with a slight grin, then quickly left the room. She quickly made her way towards Neena's office, and burst in. Neena glared at Severa.
"Good. I'll make my decision in a second. I have a visitor." Neena hug up, and glared at Severa. "What do you want?"
"Ienzo and I found something you might be interested in."
"If it doesn't concern the fugitive, then I don't care."
"Are you sure?" Severa said knowingly, arcing her eyebrow. Neena met Severa's eyes. She then clicked open her laptop and gestured for the drive. Severa handed it over, and Neena plugged it into the computer. Neena quickly scanned over the documents, as Severa stood nearby, smiling, content with herself. Neena pulled the phone back up, and clicked redial.
"Hey. I think we might have another problem. Quite the day for them isn't it?"
Rydia smiled and nodded towards Kiwi and Luna. She followed after the two of them, the prisoner bound and levitated through magic.
Lumiara made a sour face, but kept following Nocturne. He wasn't sure about trying to storm the hanger, but it was because he was unsure as to his power levels. He still felt strong, but he didn't have the kind of power he had as Lord of Castle Oblivion. Not that he would admit it to anyone. Weaknesses would not be a good thing to show.
As the Guardian and the Graceful Assassin turned the bend in the air ducts, they could see the hanger out of the grate that covered the vent. They were about ten feet up and appeared to be on the wall opposite of the hanger doors. The hanger had a number of Recognizers, Tanks, single-man Light Jets, and a few of the larger 3 man Light Jets. Soldiers, guards and techs bustled around the hanger.
"Lots of guards." Lumiara murmured.
Aqua waited for the others to be out of ear shot before speaking.
"Am I doing things wrong?" She asked in a low voice.
Her normally strong and caring look was replaced by one of worry.
"Ever since I became a master, I've done things...that i don't think were the right way to do things. If I had done things differently with Terra, maybe..."
Her voice trailed off as she thought of what ifs.
"I can't make those kind of mistakes again." She finished. "Am I doing the right thing?"
{Twilight Town: Beach}
The Agent grunted as he fell to his knees, but managed to keep his balance, preventing him from falling further.
"Captured Wielders are alive, but held for the safety of all the worlds." He said through gritted teeth. "In time, we will hold trials for those we know have committed crimes against the people. That's all you need to know."
The Agent gave Raven an odd look, like one would give someone with questionable sanity.
"Keybladers are part of the problem." He reiterated. "They have too much power over the worlds then is good for one person to have. And there is currently dozens of them. They Keyblade's very existence is a danger that can't be abided any more."
{Twilight Town: Train Plaza}
As Kyle walked into the Plaza, a large figure came up quietly from behind and laid a hand on his shoulder.
"Care to explain what you are doing out and about and not cowering?" Aeleus asked.
Most of the ground fighting was out of this area now and the aerial battle had gone further up into the atmosphere, obscured by distance and clouds. It was possible that this new comer had just missed the action, but the Silent Hero believed in caution.
{Twilight Town: Train Station}
Bits of what Celas and Noctis talked about clicked into place for Lacuna, but more like definitions and explanations one found in a dictionary or codex. It seemed too distant to be bother with, so she said nothing.
Leah gulped a little. More fighting and war. Would that ever go away?
"Listening to the different Ulthor Agents talking, I heard a lot of different reasonings and degrees of distrust for the Keyblade." Rolud commented. "A portion is just jealous and hateful cause Wielders have something they don't. But there are some that are quite genuine about there concerns. So much so, I was almost convinced."
He slipped the dice he was playing with in a pocket and shrugged.
"They might be foolish for trying to take down the Keyblade, but if it's between that and doing nothing as you lot and Xehanort go head to head, I think I'd at least try to do something."
{Disney Castle: Decolor Ship; Server Room}
"No promises." Ienzo said after Severa as she left.
He went back through combing the computer for data, but this time checking on some other hunches he would rather Severa not know just yet.
Locke gave his phone an annoyed look as it buzzed again in his hand. It was a useful device, but damn it could get irritating. He answered it and before he could speak, Neena began.
"Hey. I think we might have another problem. Quite the day for them isn't it?"
Locke's eyes narrowed. And to think he thought the plan was going so smoothly.
"What have you found now?" He asked, almost wearily.
Kyle spun around and jumped away from the big guy who came up behind him, startled at first.  "I received a message to meet in front of the mansion, but when I found no one there, I went to explore to find out what was going on." he said.  "Where is everybody?"
"...Figures..." Celas said flatly. "I have to say that I'm not surprised by that. Not much, at least."After lingering on Celas for a few more seconds, Noctis's eyes closed."A weapon with the power to either save or destroy the world. I think that's enough of a reason for someone to try and destroy it.""It's not like every one of them will understand, Noctis."The Dark Warrior said as she began pacing around again."The Seekers of Darkness....The Guardians of Light...The Lost Masters...The Foretellers...The Tome of Prophecy...So much knowledge about the Keyblade and its origins has been lost in the flow of time...There is so much knowledge that we have yet to find, questions that need answers, mysteries to solve. I suspect that Master Xehanort has found those answers, but what kind of answers is a mystery.""Have you met this Master Xehanort before?" Noctis asked."Once, a long time ago. He came to have a talk with my late Master, but I was not allowed to listen."The Prince hmph'ed at Celas's comment and smirked."And like a good girl you sneaked and listened, right?"Celas nodded and stopped."I only managed to heard those five terms." She said. "We now know about the "Seekers of Darkness" and "Guardians of Light", but what about the others? What is the connection to our struggle?"
[Twilight Town, Main Street]
Nightsparrow could only gaze at Aqua with silent remorse and sympathy as she asked worriedly about her actions. The battle-hardened leader sighed quietly, trying to form a coherent sentence that would perfectly communicate his feelings across. "You… You are doing the right thing, master.” He wanted to stop there, but felt as if he needed to explain more. You warriors were always innocent about the ‘gray zone.’ I wish my service career was as black and white as yours; facing enemies that you know would never hesitate to strike you down or never reason with you. It must really give you peace of mind when you strike back at them...
“It’s just… It doesn’t feel right, hearing a keyblade warrior ordering an interrogation. If you’re feeling uneasy about all this, I just wanted to say I’m sorry. We are aware that the things we do to protect the light are ‘unorthodox’ compared to what you keyblade warriors are used to. It’s not a pretty picture, but when we say ‘to protect the light by all means necessary,’ we really mean it. I just wish you didn’t have to be exposed to things like this.” The leader was now dreading the moment when the squad would have to subdue their captive enemy, but knew he didn’t have any alternative choice. “I can’t help but feel like we’ve ‘corrupted’ you in a sense, if I may say, master. We’ve always viewed this unseen burden of questionable morality as ours to shoulder, so warriors like you can focus more on eliminating threats."
 Just gotta make sure that Aqua doesn’t see what we do to people after we capture or interrogate them. “We should be getting close to the others by now.”
As the group of keyblade wielders and strangers were walking, Kiwi broke away from the group momentarily as he entered a humble grocery shop. It didn’t take him long for the scout to find what he needed, and by the time he finished paying for the items he bought, he was able to fairly quickly regroup with the rest of the team. With a big smirk on his face, something long and cylindrical in his satchel, and his mouth stuffed with a chocolate chip cookie, Kiwi quietly returned to his position of being the point man for the group.
[Twilight Town, Beachfront]
"Captured Wielders are alive, but held for the safety of all the worlds." the captive agent informed the old Guards, somewhat putting them both at ease. "In time, we will hold trials for those we know have committed crimes against the people. That's all you need to know."
Raven sighed in relief. “So we’re in the clear then.”
“But not the master.” Hawk growled back, “Something tells me she will be prosecuted if she was ever captured and tried.”
“Is this a bad time to start remembering all those anime shows all of a sudden?”
Ghost nodded in agreement. “So the warriors will be in trouble, not us.”
“Regardless,” Hawk smiled, trying to ignore Raven’s random comment, “aside from protecting our assigned objective, we’re also tasked with defending the warriors. So… they are still our problem, if only by proximity.”
The agent continued. "Keybladers are part of the problem. They have too much power over the worlds than is good for one person to have. And there is currently dozens of them. The Keyblade's very existence is a danger that can't be abided any more." With Hawk's patience being severely tested with the propaganda-like statement, the faithful rifleman returned his attention to the captive agent. “Now before we end this questioning session, I have one more to ask. How big is your force, and where does your organization have a presence at? It would be nice to know which worlds are slightly more safer than others, in terms of possible collateral damages.”
[Decolor Ship, Maintenance Access]
Miraculously, Nocturne and Luminara had managed to arrive at the vent that led to the hanger bay of the ship. As he surveyed the cavernous area for vehicles and enemy strength, the captive guardian made a special note of the distance between his current location and the edge of the hanger exit. “Hey,” he whispered to the graceful assassin, “how long do you think it would take to reach the end of this area if we’ve been detected?” He knew that seconds could mean the difference between escape and freedom, and just to be sure, he continued to survey the place for anything that even remotely looked like an alarm switch, just to estimate how many seconds he would have once discovered before the whole place lights up with activity, and adversaries. It’s going to be down to the wire for this operation if things screw up. Hoping for the more stealthy approach, he carefully removed the grate and peeked his head through, if only to look at the ceiling for anything to grapple on to so as to avoid any peering eyes and the people below; anything from light fixtures to the holy grail of stealthy exfiltration, a horizontal pipe that goes directly to the exit...
"Our new friend Ienzo uncovered something. Nabaat and Clu proposed a project lock, and then quickly sealed it away, saying nothing more about it. There aren't many more detail about it, at least not that I've been given." Neena said into the phone, recapping what had just been given to her. Severa stood nearby, a smug look on her face. She had done at least a little something right. Though it did seem that Neena was getting a tad angry . Severa really hoped that anger wasn't directed towards her. She hadn't seen Neena at full power, but it was most certainly something she did not want to see.
Rydia lunged forward and grabbed a cookie from Kiwi's bag. She smiled at the soldier while she took a bite of her stolen goods. She swallowed, and spoke. "Levitating takes energy." She claimed, grabbing another cookie from Kiwi. Whether or not that was actually true, well, Rydia wasn't telling.
Mysanca just stood there as the programs attacked Lea. "I guess I'm supposed to help." He summoned his keyblade and sliced a program in half. "I don't get the point of this if I were to surrender wouldn't this just all end." He looked at Lea. "I think I might enjoy watching you struggle to destroy the enemies that plague this wor..." He was stabbed by a program before finishing his sentence. He did not die just fell to the ground passed out.
Kiwi growled as Rydia decided to help herself to one of his newly bought cookies. “Mmmmmph!” was the only thing he could say, since his mouth was stuffed full of cookies and the sugar-hopped scout couldn’t protest aloud. With the thieving girl snatching another one, the scout could only whimper as he watched her chomp away on another one of his precious cookies. Luna was amused at the scene, and giggled when she heard his feeble protesting. “Something tells me he doesn’t like it when you do that,” she smiled at Rydia. Kiwi replied by vigorously nodding his head, most likely because of the sugar rush. “My cookies!” he finally said aloud, having just finished with his snack, “They were the limited edition vanilla ones too!” He quickly gripped the pouch that stashed his precious treats and turned it away from Rydia. “These are for me! But you can help yourself to the sugar bomb chocolate chip ones in this other pouch. I keep ‘em fully stocked on me at all times.” He unclipped one of his tactical pouches from his utility belt and handed it to the girl. “Help yourself. Just be careful though, some find it a little too sweet.”
Luna relaxed as she broke from the formation and approached Rydia. “So, what world did you come from, and how did you end up here?”
Aeleus's face remained impassive for a few moments as he processed what Kyle had said.
"In hiding." He answered at last. "The mansion was attacked."
His eyes narrowed slightly.
"Flynn, Richards, or Harvey?"
{Twilight Town: Train Station}
Leah went a little pale at the mention of the Tome of Prophecy. Lacuna , on the other hand, was starting to look bored.
"I'm sure most of that is just historical jetsam that managed to stick around." The Witch said dismissively. "Though, I'd ask Leah about the Tome. She seems to know something."
Leah looked at Lacuna with wide eyed surprise. The sudden movement upset her balance while supporting Lacuna, but the Witch set her feet and kept both of them upright.
"Wha-" Leah began to say.
"Don't." Lacuna cut her off, though she didn't look at the young Wielder. "Your heart rate doubled when it was mentioned, not to mention some sweat forming on your brow. You know something."
Leah opened and closed her mouth a few times before giving up and looking hopeless. Why did that Tome always bring trouble?
{Twilight Town: Main Street}
Aqua listened to Sparrow's reassurances with her eyes closed.
"Maybe we've been too insular from what is necessary." She muttered to herself.
She opened her eyes and squinted in the light. She worried again about the possible damage she sustained while lost in the Dark Realm. She also had memories of dark bug things that captured her before her rescue.
"I guess I'm lucky to get out of there with my heart in tact." She thought.
"What matters now is getting the worlds safe again." Aqua said, her voice stronger now. "From Xehanort and this...Ulthor or whatever is coming for us. If that means I lose some illusions, so be it."
She looked directly at Sparrow.
"Let's catch up with the others. Hopefully, they'll have some answers for us."
{Twilight Town: Beach}
The Agent gave Hawk a stead look with no sign of fear in it.
"I told you what I did as a courtesy." He said. "So that you might make the smart choice and surrender. It doesn't matter what you do to me. I won't betray the Decolor and they sure as hell will catch up to you sooner or later. It's up to you whether they use the kid gloves or not."
With his piece said, the agent set his jaw and started staring straight ahead.
{Disney Castle: Decolor Ship; Vents}
Lumiara pushed himself forward to peak through the vent at what Nocturne was looking at. He narrowed his eyes as he considered the situation.
"Just running, maybe 15 seconds." He answered after a bit. "That's at a full sprint, and not worrying about enemies."
He paused a moment.
"I might be able to do some short range teleporting down there, but they've done something to prevent me from opening a Corridor of Darkness or teleporting out."
The Graceful Assassin eyed the Guardian.
"Do you have anything to help with your speed?"
{Disney Castle: Decolor Ship; Hanger}
Locke worked his jaw as Neena laid out what she had learned.
"If they actually got it authorized, then they would have needed a majority." He said. "So, since you and I seem to have been left out of the loop, that means Bunansa must be in on it too. Damn politics. Any chance this is something innocent?"
{Radiant Garden: Dark Depths}
"Ha!" Lea exclaimed as a program derezzed as he chakram went straight through it.
He turned to tell Mysanca not to be such a downer when he saw that he was on the ground.
"Hey!" He yelled, his chakram reappearing in his hand with a surge of flames.
Flinging his bladed disc, Lea quickly followed it up with a fire bolt from his Keyblade's tip. The Program that had stabbed Mysanca got his Identity Disc out and deflected Lea's chakram, but took the fire straight to the chest. As he tried to recover, Lea was already there, performing a spinning slash that severed the Program's head from his body.
With the immediate threat dealt with, Lea knelt by Mysanca, checking him for injuries.
"You still with me?" Lea asked, trying to slap Mysanca awake.
Mysanca got up. "What? Dude what happened?" Sephiroth walked towards them. "Well you want something done you gotta do it yourself."
