I know Square Enix said it would never happen, but that's simply because of the low demand for the game on the console. If the people who really want it can group together, maybe we really can make a difference It's worth trying! Nice site btw

Anyway, last major FINAL FANTASY release on a Nintendo console was VI in 1994. And then Nintendo got sad because Square Enix wanted to use better hardware.

There is this misconception that Nintendo always makes bad hardware,

 

And that Sony always makes strong and powerful hardware

 

The SNES, N64, and Gamecube were powerful consoles, during their gens ( for example SNES had better colors and sound then the Sega genesis. or how the N64 was the first to console to have 3D gaming )

 

The PlayStation 1 and the PlayStation 2 had weaker hardware then its competitors ( the PS1 was weaker then the N64 and the PS2 was weaker then the Gamecube and original Xbox) , this did not stop them from being very successful however

Nintendo uses shit hardware. 

 

The 64 used cartridges, the GameCube used mini discs, the Wii was SD. And the Wii U isn't that much more powerful than the PS3.

and they had three consoles that were weaker then its competitors in their gens ( NES, Wii , Wii U)

 

but like I said before they had 3 different consoles in the past that had more powerful hardware then its competitors. The SNES had more colors and better sound then the Sega genesis, The N64 had a better GPU, CPU and more memory then its competitors, the Gamecube had a more powerful GPU and CPU then the Sega Dreamcast and PlayStation 2.

Microsoft is the only one out of the big three right now that have always made powerful consoles( not the always the most powerful however).

Yeah, and the 64 used cartridges, hence why Square Enix stopped releasing their games on Nintendo consoles.
