February 20, 201412 yr should have got the sword bro. anyway. heres the thing. you want to go to a earlier save file and get a lot of refreshers at the coliseum place. they are rewards. they are basically X-potions with a bonus: faith and bravery along with restoring your ATB. also don't use overdrive during his first 2 forms. it may be ok to use it once or twice on form three but you need it more on his forth form because that form is invincible unless you stagger him, which is why you need the overdive. also get the sword dude. its gives a 1800+ higher in strength then the weapon you get from Ciaus. (if your smart then that weapon was the one you where using) also if you don't have an extra save file, you can still go back to the beginning of the game with the same stats and items (just not key items) using the portal that appears when you lose against the last boss. of course however this is the sissy way out. but I bet it would be a way to make you super stronger. hope this helps.

I couldn't afford it. I sold pretty much everything and only had about 200,000. What portal?
February 20, 201412 yr there should be a portal. on the last door with mog to your left there should be a portal to your right after you lose against the boss.

February 20, 201412 yr Author oh I forgot to say. on new game + you can pick your difficulty to start over on. so you get both easy and new game+ but to answer your question new game + You're serious!? I was so honestly pissed that I was going to have to restart this game. But doing New Game+ on Easy Mode will allow me me to quickly and easily get back to the final boss.
February 20, 201412 yr Author that's what it said to me. I didn't take it thou. do you see the portal? I'll have to check later. But if anyone can confirm this, please do so.
March 2, 201412 yr I know it's too late, but you didn't have to restart the game to New Game+. I beat him in my first play through in Normal Mode. All you have to do is go through the 4 trials to get yours Ultimate weapon and shield. Equip Equilbrium+, Soldier of Peace, and a Magic Schemata (I used Woodland Walker). Give Equilbrium+ all the Ultima weapon and shield with a guard (used Steelguard) and Deprotect and Defaith. Soldier of Peace has an ability that transforms "Heavy slash" (or something that goes like that) to Artemis Arrows, the strongest attack ever. The Magic schemata must have 2 -ra abilities (I used Aerora and Thundara) and Ruin to increase and stabilize the stagger gauge. For the first 3 phases, you just Deprotect him and kill him with your offensive moves and perfect guard against most of his attacks. You'll hit like a truck. The final phase though, will take some time. Make sure you have 5+ EP. In the beginning of the 4th phase, use overclock and spam -ra moves. Do it the second time, but at the end of the Overclock gauge use "Army of One" to hurt him. If you have 8, you can do Overclock multiple times but make sure you do Army of One in the last Overclock. After that, just spam a variety of -ra abilities, Ruin, and Attack at him. Mix it up, and of course defend yourself from moves and eventually you'll kill him. Once he was staggered, Deprotect him (and Defaith him if you want) and bam take him to Artemis Arrows City and beat him up. That's what I did, and I am sure you beat the game by now but still, it was entirely possible!

Got pretty much everything in the game done now though including the trials, final boss and one of the super bosses.
March 2, 201412 yr Yeah, I was just too weak and I tried the trails but I couldn't at the time defeat Earth Eater. Got pretty much everything in the game done now though including the trials, final boss and one of the super bosses. Nice. The Earth Eater was really easy, I used the Cyber Jumpsuit and Ghostly Hood and Guard Glove to have pure physical resistance. He couldn't touch me, unless he buffs himself with Brave or Deprotected me but he wouldn't hurt me that much. Also had Mediguard just incase i need healing, and to defend myself from his "I don't feel too good" attack and not get debuffed. I just switched in-between Woodland Walker to spam Areora and Cyber Jumpsuit to take his non-affecting physical attacks. I also use Defaith from Cyber Jumpsuit on him to do a bit more damage. And once he was staggered, I switch to Cyber Jumpsuit to Deprotect him and then switch to Soldier of Peace to massively take down his health with Artemis Arrows. He takes some time, but still easy.
I get up to the third form, but I just can't beat it.
