KH2FM's Critcal Mode has got to be the best mode out of all the other difficulty modes in the other KH games. It is just so perfectly balanced compared to the other modes in the other KH games, this goes especially for BBS and KH3D's Critical Mode. What makes it so balanced and so perfect to do a level 1 playthrough is the fact the damage output in KH2FM CM is 1.5x. Which makes it a lot faster than ProudMode/Standard Mode who's damage output is 1x. Especially when you add in stat boosts. I mean sure that's not as good as KH2/KH2FM's damage out put in Beginner Mode(which is 1.25x) but it is generally better than Proud/Standard Mode and a bit faster too but still not as fast as Beginner Mode of course.
But with BBS and KH3D their Critcal Modes are so horribly tweaked because the damage output for both games when you play them on Crit Mode is 0.5x damage. Which is why doing a level 1run on that mode is not even worth it. Plus the fact that both BBS and KH3D both have a damage cap which is what I hate about BBS/KH3D compared to KH2/KH2FM which doesn't have any damage cap at all. You couldn't inflict more than 25 damage per hit in BBS/KH3D plus the bosses in KH3D were waaaaaaaay overpowered and felt as if they were introduced too early in the game.
