The Ultimate Dungeon (Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII)

Posted

Before the final day (btw no spoilers) you are sent into the Ultimate Dungeon.

I just want to ask, are the enemies supposed to take like 12 - 15 minutes? If thats the case there is no way I am going to finish them in time.

If they aren't, then can you ask what garbs and what weapons/items you used to defeat them?

Right now I'm fighting the Gurangatch Omega.

They aren't necessarily hard (well most of them) but they are EXTREMELY time consuming and I need to not have this day ended faster.

EDIT: I need to stop typing "Doungeon"

Uh, some can take that long, not everyone.

I would recommend the Quiet magician outfit and equipping Preta Hood and another physical damage resistance accessory to it, so your practically invicible to physical attacks, which most last ones specialize in. It helps. I would use Martial monk too, for Whirlwind kick abilty(it can only be used on that outfit as its an auto ability that turns a certain command into whirlwind kick. Soldier of peace is good too for Artemis arrows(also an auto abilty that turns heavy slash into artemis arrows).

Quiet Magician? I tried searching online but I can't seem to find it.

Preta Hood defends yourself from magical attacks, Ghostly Hood defends yourself from physical attacks xD.

I do have Soldier of Peace on, will not lie it does the most damage, but then I see videos online with people literally killing it within a minute.

I'll try using Martial Monk too, I have it.

My current Garb thingy is:

Cyber Jumpsuit (For defense and debuffing, nothing can hurt me in this)

Soldier in Peace (Her attack is in the 1900s)

Woodland Walker (Her magic is in the 2000s)

I'll give more information later when I return if you need some.

My bad, theres a second Hood item that physical and magic resistance by 75%.

Quiet magician you can buy in outfitters at yusnaan.

Sounds like you're under-levelled.

Ah thanks!

I was guessing this too, how do I 'level' up?

I have done like over 50 quests and Canvas of Prayers.

Ah thanks!

New Game+.

I meant in my current game.

I meant in my current game.

Well there's not much you can do, some bosses are better on New Game+.

Ah thanks!

There are 80 canvas of prayer and 64 side quests in the game, so yeah. :

Killing last ones before the 13th day saves time by removing them from the rooms they would be in in the Dungeon. (Basically if you made a few species go extinct, you get a freebie room for each one you've done that to.)

I've majorly used two garbs throughout my entire playthrough, switching out my third to cover anything that needs to be covered:

Cold Rebellion (High HP, Flesh Render sword from Reaver last one boosts both STR and MP by 900, Blizzaga, Sparkstrike, Blizzard LV. 2 [Locked to the garb], and a Guard. I have a slow ATB regen though)

Purple Lightning (High MP, Chaos' Revenge from Caius boosts STR and MP by 800 I think, Flame and Flood are locked to the garb, Aeroga LV 3, SteelGuard, Almost a 200 ATB regen speed)

Third Garb is anything for me. Usually buffs and debuffs.
