Do you think Ven is the cause that made Namine a 'witch' instead of 'keyblade Nobody' like Roxas? Or do you think she will get her own?

Featured Replies

Roxas can use the Keyblade because he's the Nobody of a wielder. As far as we know, Namine might as well become a wielder later on in the series. The Rite of Succession puts successors on the road to gaining a Keyblade of their own, aside from succeeding masters. Kairi has already shown that she can wield a Keyblade; if she finally gets one herself, then Namine would probably be able to use it.

Keep in mind though: Namine's not a Nobody. It's a complete mystery as to what she really is.

The only reason Roxas was able to use the Keyblade was because A. He was a Keyblade wielders Nobody, B. The connection with Ven and Sora, and C. He was using Sora's Keyblade while Sora was asleep. Now that Kairi has a Keyblade, if she ever would be put in the predicament Sora was in, I think Namine' would be able to wield one, but that's the only case.

That wasn't the answer I was looking for. Nonetheless good points. :D

Fourteen-year-old Sora had his own and Ven's. On the night when their world vanished, Kairi's heart joined with his. At Hollow Bastion, he committed 'suicide', releasing Namine and Roxas while giving Kairi's heart back. I'm wondering between the time the island vanished up to Hollow Bastion, did Ven cause Namine to become witch? It seems to me he's like a wild card or something.

My theory about that is, Namine' was created using Sora's body, which gives her control over his memories. (Actually that might be the truth, idk). Ven isn't real that connected with Namine, not like him and Roxas at least.

Kairi doesn't have a Keyblade :P Yes, we've seen her use one, as shown in KH2 when Riku hands her Destiny Place, a Keyblade based upon his memories of home that appeared one day as he was thinking about DI, but we've yet to see her actually summon one. Until we see her do that, she has yet to receive a Keyblade to call her own.

And yeah, I totally ninja'd you.

Back to the topic, I fail to see how Ven could in any way caused Namine to receive memory powers. More likely, he influenced her birth, considering that she was born with blond hair and strangely, in Castle Oblivion. The reason she has the powers over Sora's memories and those who are connected to him because she was born from him.

Perhaps Roxas is the external result of Ven while Namine is the internal such as powers and stuff.

I must ask, what powers? What could Ven possibly have to give to Namine?

I don't think Ven gave anything to Namine', but they are just connected indirectly. I also think Ven's heart influenced her to appear near his body, in Castle Oblivion, but that's not a fact, so shouldn't be considered until more facts about Namine' come up.

Wait What?

When did they explain where Riku got the Keyblade from?

If anything, I though Riku kept Xions keyblade after he beat Roxas...

Roxas has Xion other keyblade, it turned into the Oathkeeper,(Or the Oblivion) when he was fighting Riku in Days.

Roxas still has it as of KH2.

KH2 novels.

Xion's Keyblade is fake. The second Keyblade is Ven's. Roxas' absorption of Xion awakened the ability to use Ven's Keyblade.

I learn something new everyday O_O.

I seriously never found that out.

Where did you find that?

Find what out? Destiny Place as Riku's second Keyblade? In the KH2 novels.

As for the Xion's Keyblade being fake, in the Days Ultimania.

I thought the Keyblade that Riku gave Kairi was one of Aqua's (the one she gets after Kairi gives Aqua flowers for helping her)

Roxas has Xion other keyblade, it turned into the Oathkeeper,(Or the Oblivion) when he was fighting Riku in Days.

By that logic, Sora couldn't use his keyblade when Roxas was. Yet he does.

Oh. Are the novels canon?

Because Nomura usually does something more complicated than that.

Novels are "secondary canon". If the game doesn't contradict it, then we can believe whatever it says. But if the game says otherwise, then it's the absolute truth.

Example: Game says Sora and Riku are best friends, novel says they're bitter enemies. Game wins.

Example 2: Novel says Saix sent Axel into the virtual Twilight Town with a super computer and very advanced equipment. Game says nothing. Novel wins.

In this case, the game doesn't dictate anywhere that Destiny Place belongs to Kairi, and since we saw Riku hand it to her, that would imply it's his. Though imo, eventually, it'll become hers. They went through all that trouble of showing how she's able to use one, so she'll probably get one in a later title.

I mean it Nomura would probably have a more complicated reason than 'It just appeared one day'

Kairi can use a Keyblade. Aqua accedentally preformed the Keyblade Rites of Succession on her at Radiant Gardens, so Kairi, although never seen on her own, can use a keyblade.
