The Reach has been defeated and has retreated from Earth. The Light has lost a member, and their plan to convict the Justice League has failed. The Team has been granted access to the Watchtower. The Justice League's influence continues to grow as small-time crime reaches an all-time low. But in the midst of this seemingly golden age, evil still lurks. Wally West, the original Kid Flash, has perished. Dick Grayson, Nightwing, has retired momentarily. Lex Luthor has stepped in as the Secretary-General of the United Nations. And The Light still lurks in the shadows, devising schemes to bring down the League once and for all. All these circumstances are mashed together to create the perfect scene for an devastating Apocalypse.

How I'm Going to Do This

You will portray a character from the DC universe that has joined The Team, a team of young covert operatives that works alongside the Justice League against various threats to the citizens of Earth. The Team leader, (currently Aqualad) will assign your character a mission, which you will complete alongside other Team members. If you are not currently assigned a mission, your character may simply hang out with a different character somewhere else, allowing for more character development. You can take any canon from the DC Universe, but they all must be Team members, or a solo hero under the age of 25. You could also create an original character if you prefer. If your character goes against the Young Justice canon, or the canon I have in place for the RP, I'll be inclined to not accept you, but rather advise you to fix it. Thank You!

Name: Punchline (Real name unknown, but goes by Johnny Doe)

Gender: Male

Appearance: Like this, but younger

Personality: On the surface, Johnny is an outgoing guy who loves to crack jokes and tease people, although clearly a little nuts, not to mention spontaneous. However, beneath his fun loving exterior, he's a tortured soul who has to fight every day to keep his sanity in check. For example, he sometimes hears things that aren't there and has a hard time understanding and relating to other people, which is why he keeps up his extroverted persona. Harlene was the only person to truly understand him, and now that she's gone, Johnny struggles to cope with those around him, making it even harder to fin in in this new universe. He may seem strong willed, but very few can tell how fragile he really is on the inside. That said, he has a strong desire to help those in need, and has a rather dark sense of humor.

Bio: Punchline is actually the Joker from an alternate universe, where many heroes and villains, such as himself, are largely different than their versions in this world. For example, this Joker is a younger, heroic version of the Joker from the Young Justice Universe. He grew up as an orphan, but always looked up to superheros, and eventually became a vigilante known as Red Hood in order to fight criminals, and was fairly successful, considering his young age and lack of training. It wasn't long, however, until in a failed attempt at stopping a robbery at a chemical plant, he fell into a large vat of chemicals that turned his skin white, his hair green, and his lips ruby red, as well as corrupting his sanity. He was only fifteen at the time. He never returned to the orphanage he had lived at nearly all his life, and began living in the shadows of Gotham City, but he was still determined to fight crime and injustice, and became the Joker. Since then, he's never used his real name in public, and instead uses the name Johnny Doe when he has to. He soon attracted the attention of Gotham's resident protector, the Black Mask, and became his apprentice, eventually becoming a member of that universe's version of The Team. It was here that he became close freinds with the likes of Blue Beetle, Icicle Junior, Cheshire Cat, Plastic Man, and more, and became romantically involved with a kind hearted girl named  Harleen Quinzel, codenamed Harley Quinn. His life seemed great, but it all came crashing down when Blue Beetle betrayed the team, killing Harleen in the process. Joker was devastated, and when Blue Beetle eventually tried to escape the League by taking a portal to another universe, Joker followed him. Joker stopped his old friend from escaping, but then the portal exploded, sending Joker, who was in range of the blast, into the universe where Young Justice takes place. He wants to get back to his own world, but until then, he want to do some good in this one. The Justice League was slow to trust him, and many of them still don't, due to him being a Joker, but they hesitantly decided that for now, he should join the team. He's now known as Punchline, in order to differentiate himself from the Joker of this universe.

Powers/Abilities/Weapons: He always keeps his two favorite knives on him, as well as what ever "goodies" he feels like stuffing into his coat for missions. The equipment he takes with him varies, and can include things such as throwing knives, explosives, joker gas with only temporary effects, and more. He's also a skilled close combat fighter and chemist.

Theme: I hope you don't mind Yuffie, but I gave him two themes, since how he usually acts and his true personality are so different.

Hmm...Joker would either try to take Punchline under his wing or try to burtally murder Punchline for stealing his act. And come to think of it, those options are not mutually exclusive.
