FINAL FANTASY X HD 99 Potion Glitch (Beginning of Game- Don't Miss!)

Posted

I dunno about you all, but when I played the original PS2 version there was this glitch that kept letting you obtain Potions early on in the game:

1. While on the Al Bhed ship, there's a guy who, if you talk to him, gives you 3 Potions

2. When you talk to Rikku, go into the water and hold O to Dive until taken to the next room on the map

3. Once there, do a 180 and go back to the previous room where you can press either O or square- press square now to go back to the ship

4. Once on deck, go and talk to that guy who gave you the Potions before- he'll give you 3 more!

Rinse and repeat this process for as many as 99 Potions early in in the game, if you're like me and suck at any RPGs besides Kingdom Hearts then having this definitely helps

I wasn't sure if the Remaster would fix it, but I have 59 Potions already so it does work- it also only takes like 20 minutes too so why not?

This video visually shows you what to do, even though it's the PS2 version shown the same rules apply

Also an Al Bhed primer is situated on the ground in the northeast corner of the ship- I hope this helps you guys! ^^

Regular potions become useless later on especially on later bosses and by half-way through the game I'll have enough gills for Hi-Potions and got enough Elixirs from treasure chests so yeah...I won't need this glitch

I might stock up a few just to have them. Probably won't invest enough time to get to 99 but still, having 50 or so wouldn't hurt.

Even if I end up not needing them, I can sell them to get some GIL for Hi-Potions and other stuff, so still a good deal.

I'd do this, but the game is too easy for that.
