Pokemon- Rookie Mistakes and terrible situations

Posted

Hello, all! I wanted to make this thread (me being a 'rookie' myself) Feel free to contribute. Bear in mind that these are what I'D consider Rookie Mistakes. It's okay, you don't SUCK for doing these. I have done quite a bit of these mistakes myself.

Also, these are what I'd say are bad situations.

Basically using moves that have no effect to certain Pokémon.

If an option, disuse of Pokémon Abilites.

Forgetting what some of the items do.

Terrible Situations-

Up against a butterfree/Vivillon with Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, Poison Powder and Substitute

Up against a Gogoat with Milk Drink, Horn Leech, Leech Seed, Rollout (Basically Whitney's Miltank again)

Totally screwed by a Malamar

Absol with Perish Song, Mean Look, Swords Dance, <Insert attacking move>

Skarmory with the Sturdy ability, Spikes, Roost, Toxic and Whirlwind

Blissey. A REALLY defensive Blissey. With Double Team, Toxic, Softboil, Counter

There we go. And I'm sure, these terrible situations probably have you wanting to make them.

A rookie can make a mistake.....

By never-EVER know what a potion does.

I mean if you play KH I'm pretty sure a potion will be the same as a potion.

Toxic orb Gliscor with Substitute is the most annoying thing ever, along with Whitney's Miltank.

Hex is your best friend against Toxic Orb users that aren't Normal type. Turns their ability against them. lol

- Going against Gym Leaders with underlevelled Pokémon without a strategy or two.

(Withney's Miltank will make sure you'll understand this)

- Using moves that don't do damage (ex: electric type moves against ground type pokémons)

- Using a Master Ball on a weak pokémon to make sure if it works

(Don't judge me, I was 7 years old >.<)

- Wounded pokémons without healing items

(Again, Miltank)

- Trying to catch a certain pokémon without having a good number of Poké Balls, Greats, Ultras, etc

(DAMN SUICUNE)

- Trying to evolve a Pokémon that levels up through stone, trade, etc, by just leveling it up

(No Serebii at that time, poor Machoke, I never bothered to evolve you :/)
