So a couple of friends and I have decided to have a Kingdom Hearts marathon leading up to the release of KH3, so the marathon will roughly begin whenever some sort of release date is revealed. It'll more or less be a year long party, with some games being broken up into parts on separate nights, but we're having some trouble dividing up KH2 Final Mix.We plan on tackling every world (including Atlantica & 100 Acre Woods), but we won't be doing tournaments. The game is too long to do in one night, so we're flip flopping between 2 or 3 nights specifically for KH2, but can't decide where. So my question is: How many parts/nights would you recommend splitting up KH2 Final Mix, and where would good stopping spots be?

Are you skipping cutscenes? If not then I would imagine it's going to take a while

I'd suggest

Night 1: Beginning to Olympus Coliseum first visit's end

Night 2: Disney Castle to the end of the Battle for Hollow Bastion

Night 3: All Disney world revisits plus Twilight Town

Night 4: The World that Never Was along with any other extras (Cavern of Rememberance, Terra, etc.)

If you're skipping cutscenes though you could probably get to the battle for Hollow Bastion on the first night and finish the game on the second- it also depends how long these sessions will be per night but I'm going based off your wanting to beat the game in 2-3 nights with some leeway

If it's a year-long party I would personally do a world a night to keep the party going but that's just me

Roxas Part 1 (Session Length depends since this can take at most 2 hours with cutscenes and small grinding.)

Sora First Half Part 2

Sora Second Half Part 3

My advice for the marathon : Watch the cutscenes only...

But yeah,Here's my suggestion for the Marathon :

Night 1 - Roxas's Story

Night 2 - Olympus Coliseum First Visit

Night 3 - Pride Lands First Visit

Night 4 - Hollow Bastion Second Visit

Night 5 - Pride Lands Second Visit

Night 6 - The World That Never Was

Night 7 - Defeat all Optional bosses, clearing mini games

It will be a week to complete the Marathon. But yeah,if you skip some of the cutscenes, you will be able to finish it faster...

Yeah, we're watching the cutscenes. We're not dong to this to speedrun, we're doing this to sort of refresh ourselves so we'll be prepared for KH3. These sessions are going to be set up for all nighters, so like from 10 or 11 PM to 6 AM. Perhaps we're too over confident in our abilities to do this both fully and quickly lol In that case, do you guys also have any alterations we could do for the rest of our schedule?Kingdom Hearts: Pretty confident we can knock the first game out in one night.Chain of Memories: One night for Sora, and then a different night for Riku.KH2: TBD358/2 Days: We were just going to watch the scenes and read both the Diary and Reports from the HD 1.5 ReMix.Birth by Sleep: Shooting for three nights in Chronological order. So like, we would go to Enchanted Dominion and Dwarf Woodlands as Terra, and then switch over to Ventus and do Dwarf Woodlands and Castle of Dreams, etc.Coded: Same as Days. One night watching/reading whatever is on the 2.5 ReMix.KH3D: IF made playable, probably two nights. This depends on if Square does something for the game.

I guess it would depend how much you can tolerate playing in one night. In my first run of KH2, I beat it in about four days, and then just level-grinded for the coliseum tournaments. So, if you're anything like me, here's how I'd divide it:Night one: All first visitsNight two: All second visitsNight three: Clear the game and defeat all Org. XIII data. But this is based on the fact that I stay up until like six in the morning and then sleep until noon.
