Dragon Quest X Reaches One Million Sales in Japan

Featured Replies

Too bad, ya know, Square kind of turned their back on localizing anymore DQ games. lol

I just love how DQX was doing so terribly at launch, and then it was all like "Suddenly, FANBASE!". I wish there were more games that would do that...

It's good to see good news about the DQ series. I'm hoping the sudden rise in popularity could mean an overseas release. Enix doesn't seem to realize that there's a huge DQ fanbase outside of Japan, too.

I do agree that there are fans outside of Japan that like Dragon Quest but it's just not popular or big enough in other regions. A lot of other countries outside of Japan prefer to play FPS/Sports games than an JRPG. It's a little sad, I know. But it's sadly the truth :/

FINAL FANTASY and Kingdom Hearts have their biggest markets in North America. Dragon Quest or Dragon Warrior is just different.
