Uncharted 4 Director Leaves Naughty Dog

Posted

Uncharted 4 director Justin Richmond has left Sony’s Naughty Dog studio. Richmond shared the news with IGN, revealing that he has decided to join Riot Games following his departure from the Uncharted studio.

“I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog,” Richmond told IGN.

“I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can’t wait to be a part of.”

Prior to his work on Uncharted 4, Richmond served as game director on Uncharted 3. He also oversaw the multiplayer component in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. News of his departure comes shortly after Naughty Dog’s creative director, Amy Hennig, left the studio.

First goes Amy, there goes Justin

Yeah it's sad how they are leaving such great game companies. I really wish that he would at least finish with Uncharted 4 instead of just leaving right while it's in development. That would make a bit more sense to leave imo.

Guessing The Last of Us changed that company.

I don't like where this is going.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN NAUGHTY DOG MAKES MORE THAN 3 GAMES PER SERIES (Not counting spinoffs)
