Hey there everyone, how's it going!? As you all know, Kingdom Hearts is an amazing series that has moments that make you cry, that make you feel the impact of the story and the fate of the characters. Well, I want to share this experience I shared today with my best friend/brother/gamer Jonathan. I went over to his house today to spend time with him, and well, I was playing a little bit of Arkham Origins while he was taking a shower. I have to say, Arkham Origins looks amazing, and it will be a must buy for me when I finish Asylum and City! Anyways, that's beside the point! The momentous moment of epic moments happened after he finished taking a shower!
You see, he was telling me that he was stuck on the final fights with Ansem in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. (He had bought 1.5 a while ago.) I wanted to see if he could beat Ansem, and so I told him to play the game. I told him how to defeat Ansem, and he did so, and well, from what I could tell from his expressions of worry that transitioned into triumphant yahoos and hell yeahs, he was loving it! And well, when he finally defeated Ansem in his final form, he had such a satisfied look on his face, and when he saw the ending, where Sora helped Riku and Mickey close the gates to the Realm of Darkness, when he heard Riku say: "Take care of her." Jonathan immediately got the feels. And well, let's just say when he saw the ending, he wanted to cry, but told me that he wouldn't because I was in front of him. (So apparently if I hadn't been around he would have cried, lol.) And so, when the credits rolled and then the secret movie played out, Jonathan's face was priceless! I mean seriously, his reactions were like this. "Wait, is that Roxas with the hood? Shit, that is Roxas! And that's Riku! Mickey! Gah! And when the secret movie ended, he was like: "That's it!?" and well, he was filled with emotion.
In other words, I witnessed my best friend, my brother's achievement of beating his first Kingdom Hearts game ever, on Proud Mode, in Level 63. When I saw his face of happiness and his feelings of wanting to cry, I simply smiled and said: "Just you wait, the other games will make you feel like that as well." You know, Kingdom Hearts really has a way of connecting to people, and well, it just makes it more ironic because me and Jonathan are practically identical to Sora and Riku. He'd be Riku and I'd be Sora. (Since I'm the more loony and carefree of the two.) So yeah, it was just awesome to see him beat Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, and it was an experience I thought worthy of sharing with you all. Guys, there's nothing better than having a friend experience a game you love and see their reaction! It was awesome!
