So... Yeah. I recently got back into an anime I watched a little bit of a long time ago, named Accel World. It's by Reki Kawahara, the same guy who wrote Sword Art Online. It's basically about a kid who's constantly bullied due to his physical appearance, and a girl who tells him that there's a way he can change his reality. The action's pretty good, and the story's well written. I'd recommend it to anyone who's a fan of SAO or the VR genre of anime, or just action fans who want something new. Neon Alley and Hulu have all of the subbed episodes, and a few of the dubs. I'm hoping that they release more of the dubs, since they just got those, and they're honestly pretty good. There's a lot of swearing (To a TV-MA point), but still, pretty good.

 

In terms of how the story flows I prefer Accel World over SAO, I still like both equally though. Also have you read the Versue manga? (or was it a light novel) Where Kirito goes up against Silver Crow.

I only ever got up through episode 6 of the anime back when I was watching the subs, so I can't compare it to SAO yet. I'm sure that it'll meet my expectations though, considering it's by the same author as SAO. Also, there was a crossover manga? ._. Holy crap, I need to read that when I finish AW.

Actually Accel World is within the same universe of SAO but taking place I believe 20-30 years after though, really no real mentions about the events of SAO itself but they do give you something that connects the 2 when you watch Accel World it's hit and miss though so try to pay attention

I accidentally spoiled the whole same universe thing sadly, but still, I'm excited to actually see it in the show.
