What I'm really wondering, is will it have Golden content and a graphics boost equivalent to or better than Golden? If not, it's not worth buying.

It's just regular P4. Would you rather spend more than $200 for the PS Vita, the memory card, & the game or just $10 to $15 on the console. It's still a fantastic game even without the bonus content. It wouldn't get remade if it wasn't good and many people never got to play the original who has a PS3 and not a PS2

It s coming to the Paystation store as a PS2 Classic like Persona 3 FES http://www.siliconera.com/2014/04/01/persona-4-coming-playstation-3-ps2-classic/

But is it confirmed though?

It is a very fantastic game, but PS3 really needs a version of P4 that's equivalent to if not better than the Vita version.Atlus could definitely milk this and make a PS3 version of Golden, so I'm not sure why they're just putting out the original version of P4 as a classic.

It's easier to put PS2 data than PS Vita data onto a PS3. And P4G has more content so it'll be longer to make it compatible to the PS3 and the controller.

Most of that Vita data is originally PS2 data, and on the vanilla PS2 version there were some Golden features in the coding. They could probably just upscale the PS2 version and do the same things they did on the Vita version.

Hello there! I am Mystic!

I have been in contact with some sources. and I can confirm that Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 is coming to the PS3 as a PS2 Classic. It should be available in May.

This is not a port of the PS Vita version of the game. It is a port of the PS2 version.

This is NOT an April Fools joke either. Today is the first day of the second quarter of the year, which is part of why you are seeing these things.

Ah, PS2 Classics. Developers "rebuild" a PS2 game so it can run on PS3 and put it up for download on the PlayStation Store. I wish we had more of them. Although the emulation and likely backwards compatibility on PS4 completely voids the purpose of it in the long term.
