Do I need to win the Sphere Break Tournament to get the story 100% in FINAL FANTASY X-2?

I think so... I'm not absolutely sure but I lost and was at 99%

I thought in the international version they changed the way of unlocking the Lady Luck Dressphere. I thought all you had to do was play the Sphere Break game and you'll get it no matter what.

I just realized that I read the topic wrong my bad as for getting 100% Yes I'm sure you do need to win cause there is a cutscene with Shinra crying that he lost.
